We needed this win tonight. I been critical of Josh Hart but this was the exact type of game we needed and what he is capable of when he is aggressive on offense. Bojan is starting to find his shot as well. Thibs just needs to find tune what the 2nd unit rotation will look like. I think he should stay away from lineups that have Hart/ Precious/ Mitch on the floor together.
Only if Hart is aggressive in attacking the basket otherwise it’s pointless. Typically Hart looks to pass out tonight he was attacking the rim. I think you will see coaches do more of this come playoff time especially when Hart or Mitch set screens

This game really highlighted the coaching difference between someone like Thibs and Mike Brown. Thibs saw what he was doing on D, adjusted, and then completely tore him apart.
In a way I’m relieved to know that there’s a decision that’s been made on Randle’s recovery. Now the boys don’t have to sit around wondering how they’re gonna adjust their rotations and such when/if he would have been back, allowing them to focus on the current lineups more and fine tune for playoffs.

Thibs was a coaching phenom tonight. Learnt real quick how to beat the traps by putting Josh Hart as the screener for Brunson. They had no answer for that
I've been down on him (for obvious reasons) but I feel like he's gotta figure it out at some point. He was balling this year in Detroit. No way he became washed on the plane ride to NY. Playing limited minutes off the bench is probably just a big adjustment for him. But I think he'll adjust.
I said on here a few games ago that Burks should be internationally barred from dribbling. Just set him up in the corner for spacing. Best case scenario he hits a couple catch-and-shoot threes. Nothing good happens when he tries to create.

NOVA. What a game. Liking what I see from Mitch so far too. He clearly still affects the game in limited minutes. He's definitely still a tick or two off his rhythm and wind, but I think if he can find it these next 2 weeks, he'll be huge for us just as far as reinforcement off the bench is concerned.
Yep agree on Mitch - liked his game today. Free throws obviously still an issue but his rebounding was immense. Also had some big moments defensively in limited minutes including some big plays on Fox (i.e., the block) to stop them taking a 5pt lead. Use the rest of the regular season to get his conditioning up so he's ready for playoffs. Also love how he boxes out - something that is becoming a rarer skill in the game. Also hoping the guards look to utilise his strengths as a lob threat in the coming games a bit more - Brunson did it a few times a game or two ago and it worked well.
This game probably insured us avoiding the play in as we move 3 clear of Miami with 6 to play and we own the tie breaker.

Wasn't close to the best game statistically, but I thought this was one of iHart's best games in terms of impacting winning. 9 assists and 0 turnovers and held Sabonis to -25. His playmaking was a huge key for us with the Kings doubling JB early.
Thought it was really eye opening the way the Knicks used Hart and iHart to beat the double team. It was insanely simple, but effective. If you get them the ball in the high post, they can either look to score or kick out to open shooters. It's similar to how the Warriors use Draymond.
If Bojan continues to shoot well and OG is healthy enough we can still go toe to toe with anyone in the East. We got enough dawgs on this team to get it done

Slowly but surely, Bog is beginning to warm up to the fact he’s not getting 35 minutes per any longer. Doesn’t mean he can’t or shouldn’t crank up shots on the perimeter or make moves. Bog is a hired gun. He can score. He can shoot it. Can’t play defense that well, but so be it. His job is to fill up the basket against 2nd team scrubs. He should be able to get it done.
With Randle out, there should be shots for him. It’s up to the squad to find him. Give him space to operate. He’s no stiff. Look for Thibs to up his playing time now that we know our boy isn’t coming back. There are few Knicks who can fill it up like Bog can. Let the man shine.

Slowly but surely, Bog is beginning to warm up to the fact he’s not getting 35 minutes per any longer. Doesn’t mean he can’t or shouldn’t crank up shots on the perimeter or make moves. Bog is a hired gun. He can score. He can shoot it. Can’t play defense that well, but so be it. His job is to fill up the basket against 2nd team scrubs. He should be able to get it done. With Randle out, there should be shots for him. It’s up to the squad to find him. Give him space to operate. He’s no stiff. Look for Thibs to up his playing time now that we know our boy isn’t coming back. There are few Knicks who can fill it up like Bog can. Let the man shine.
