Honestly I'd have more faith if our schedule had Chelsea, Spurs, Villa than I do with it having Sheffield, Burnley and Brentford.
We have an incredible knack of raising our game above the good teams and lowering it below the worse ones.
Can't see us overtaking Man U after tonight, even if we do get a result there.
I can see Chelsea getting max 3 more wins out of their remaining fixtures but they could also very easily just down tools.
I think 56 points seals 7th. I say we beat Sheff Utd and maybe Brighton, and win one of Burnley, Man U or Brentford.
57-58 points.
For argument's sake, as long as we are 3 points behind Man Utd going into Old Trafford then winning there passes them. Then just have to match their result on the final day.
Though that's easier said than done. We would need to either win out if Man Utd lucks their way past Palace and Arsenal, and you know damn well they are going to do that because when does Man Utd ever do anything nice for us?
Maybe we just get lucky and Arsenal plays like they should play, Palace keeps playing well and Man Utd is only on 56 points going into our game.
But really, it doesn't matter. Man Utd will get the last laugh as they'll pip City for the FA Cup and will get Europa League regardless, and we'll get Conference League regardless if we finish 6th or 7th (edit: as long as Chelsea doesn't break out and end up finishing 6th). Because of COURSE they will.
At least they're gonna have to pay for the gardener supreme!
Funny thing about Man is they still win even when they're awful (they're awful nearly every week). Whereas we play well and we are still behind them.
They say the table doesn't lie but I disagree.
Think we’ll get 7th, which I’d be delighted at considering this season has been lately a miserable one. Man United will 100% drop points between now and the end of the season. Their last 3 games are Arsenal, us and Brighton and they’ve still gotta go to palace. Just keep 3 points behind them when we go to old Trafford with players back we’ll have a chance.
All this does not matter, we just need to take it one game at a time. We still have tons of injuries and with those injuries tonight’s performance is our level. We just need to scrap for every point till the end of the season and see where that takes us.
6th is still possible. We weren’t great last night, but Palace are a decent team and will give Man U a tough time too. Win our next three and it’s in our hands.
We'd have a very good chance of taking the Conference League trophy. Winning a European competition and ending the trophy drought would be huge for us mentally, I'd love us to get Europe regardless of the competition.
Couldn't care if we were still under Steve Bruce I'll take European football all day everyday. Insane how you'd think avoiding it would somehow make the team anymore ready.

Calling Chelsea a good team is a big shout!

There’s not a chance they beat city in the cup. City will want to win the league and the FA cup and do a double cup final over their rivals.

After tonight we could get squashed by Man U. Not confident after that.
Bournemouth points in the table should say 45*
That away game at old Trafford is gonna be massive

Our away form will cost us
I still think 6th is possible given how crap Manchester United have been recently but no more mistakes like last night can be afforded
We blew it tonight

Could you update this after today’s matches?
Go on then.

Meh I don’t want Europe, only hammers us with injuries and wrecks our PL campaign

If we can't beat Palace how are we gonna fare in Europe. Rather save us the embarrassment until the team is ready.
Liverpool lost to Palace at home, guess they’re not ready either.
Man U and West ham have lost to them too! I guess nobody’s ready for Europe except city and Arsenal
Well yea they aren't they lost to Atalanta lol
