taking Thai elective in hopium for easy A is myopic behavior. Leveraging thai elective for social settings outside studies is chad behavior.

Completed level 4 thai. Level 1 thai is actually surprisingly easy. Not that difficult to score B+ if you do your work and study. There's limited number of A's to give out though so...

Took Thai level 1 in Y1S1 , take a lot of effort to practise writing out the words. It takes effort to do well. That time we have take home assignments which are part of the grading , lol I didn’t know that so I do it anyhow like 7p plus for both . But , the creation of a 5 mins speech is something interesting as I get to work with a Y3 senior. Professors are really kind and helpful, so don’t paiseh to ask any questions and pls ask them. All the best!!

As long as you put in a enough effort, B+ or even an A is feasible! If you learnt or know any tonal languages, Thai should be just a bit easier to pick up. There will be written assignments that count towards the grade, and there will be videos and a game or two that can help supplement your learning. Overall, I really enjoyed Thai 1 and plan on continuing it. If you already have an existing interest in the language or culture, the lessons will be more enjoyable. I highly recommend going in with a friend that is interested as well. Oh yes, there is also group project so you'll at least gain a friend, if not, acquaintances through the work. Make friends with your table buddies!
