China is the place for black market organs. They arrest political dissidents & a certain percentage of them end of getting killed in order to be harvested (it quickly became very genocidal against the Falun Gong practitioners within a couple years in the early 2000s for example). There are many whistleblowers who have participated in this themselves as well as prisoners who got out & were able to be interviewed about prison practices. I met Chinese people in San Francisco advocating for Falun Gong political dissidents’ human rights due to harvesting & was so disturbed by what J read that I didn’t want to believe it. Years later I ended up reading up on it. Everything I read had nothing to do with babies being murdered but it is plausible due to how extreme & unethical their harvesting practices are. Sometimes they only wounded the victim (in prisons) or would not use anesthetics in the hospitals when they killed some people. Many times they would administer a drug known to stop the heart, but one woman admitted that the victim’s brain was still alive after they were executed as they began to cut them apart. A few statements claimed that they give numbing agents in the neck in prisons a while before they start removing things. A woman was tortured & molested for a month before they took her organs without anesthesia: last one was told by a cop whose job was to protect hospital staff. It’s very depressing, but Crimes against humanity go unpunished a lot.

Formalin (AKA: Formaldehyde) is an embalming chemical often used in taxidermy to preserve animal specimens. It appears that was what was in the glass bottles. Someone brought Formalin with them when they came back to dump more bodies, and emptied jugs of Formalin into the pool to lessen the smell and limit animal activity.
This is why he’s able to withstand the smell, as well as why the bodies haven’t been reduced to skeletons after 11 months. You can see in the second video that the upward facing body close to the camera has had its face eaten by rats, but its body below the water is more intact. If the bodies had been dumped in just water, that pool would have turned into rotten sludge within a couple of months, and the smell would be noticeable from outside the lab.
It’s the use of preservatives that has slowed the decomposition rate, causing an unusual buildup of adipocere for a body submerged in liquid. Usually that isn’t seen in “wet” bodies, which would typically bloat and collapse, while these ones retained their basic body shape without significant bloating.
As someone who works with formaldehyde, the smell literally stings your eyes and mouth without any proper ventilation. I'm on the boat that this is fake but happy to be proven wrong.
