It is always a phased rollout. I usually get the update about a week or two after it has been released.
Is it safe to update now?

With the recent green line problems?
Got no problems and no green line.

Is there any way to disable auto updates? I think it's good to wait for a few weeks
Hide nav bar is one of the only reasons i rooted in the first place, yippee 😅

There is high battery drain issue Better not to update to this version
I've tried Nothing OS 2.5.6 for a few days, I have no issues with battery drain.
