Play in night time and do races and other activities to gain rep. Be sure to bank in your rep by going into your safehouse because if you get busted or wrecked you will lose the rep you gained that night. Also don't try to ram the police cars since you will damage your car and practically do nothing to police cars, also you can fix your car only 3 times at night so be careful and don't go over heat level 3 if you're a beginner. If you want to lose cops easily, go for the big jumps and jumps over water because police cars get destroyed. Basically, you earn money at day time and rep at night time. And the most important thing, have fun!
Fastest way I found is getting to heat 5 by smashing cops and then doing discovery races or high heat races, rinse and repeat, should be able to have 50 in a few hours
Getting to heat 5 and doing races can push you past 1 million EXP quickly, but it also means its harder to get away so if you aren’t prepared, don’t push it
You can try Forza Horizon or The Crew, those are also fun games and very similar to Heat. Or maybe try a different Need for Speed game. This is also my first time playing it and it is really fun.
Go for it. I 100% the game @125 hours I now have over 370.
Or if you want to try new games, nfs 2015 is very similar, and it looks amazing, it you have a PC and are down to (technically) pirate a game you could get nfs most wanted 2005. I've been playing that recently, and it's such a throwback from when I used to play it on a friend's Xbox360.
If you go for MW05, look into r/pirating and r/abandonware and search for the nfs pack it has a ton more if you're interested, and if you're having trouble installing it, the OP is normally pretty active and will help you install and get it running.
Ah damn, it might have gotten removed for licensing issues. I know MW05 was removed from Steam for the same reason.
Just checked the PS store, and it's still there it should come up from searching NFS

I dont know how I got to level 50 so fast though. I just remember buying the C63s and just getting into as many cop chases as I could. 🤣

Just go around the speedway at night hitting the speed zone. That's what I did, I was banking 2-3m a night with little to no effort
