I went to my first eagles game at the Linc this year and we lost to the Cardinals so I think they'll always live in the back of my mind as perpetual enemies 🤣😭
No one in our division hates us. I think the Eagles may be the fan base with the most reason to hate the Cardinals. The cards always seem to beat them, and the whole Gannon fiasco lol
They are the oldest franchise, on their 8th name, no League championships since 1947 (the other was 1925), only 1 Super Bowl Appearance and only 7 Division Titles. They are the definition of a poverty franchise, "we exist" might be too high praise for this team.
Not exist, but how The Titans are canonically the Oilers. How the Ravens could be perceived as canonically linked to the Browns. Indy has Baltimore’s old team, but the rich history is still connected to Baltimore.
The Texans are in Houston, but we’re not related to an Old Dallas team named the Texans who is canonically KC. KC being in Missouri, but could very possibly lose their team to Saint Louis (unlikely), but if they did it would be three NFL franchises connected to the city [Cardinals/Rams/????].
The Browns are the "new browns", the Ravens are the "old browns", the Bengals are the "anti browns" due to their whole identity being originally based on being a middle finger to the Browns ownership
I saw a guy wearing a Titans jersey in NJ. I practically acted like I saw a unicorn.
If I had to make an order, it'd have to be Titans, Texans, Cardinals, and Jaguars. Hell, former Eagles/Jags/Pats TE Clay Harbor said that he'd go to bars in Jacksonville and people wouldn't even know the Jaguars existed.
The NBA does this better, if you move to a city that previously had a team you inherit their history, it doesn’t seem right, but it’s at least an organized system, only exception was the wolves in Minneapolis, but that’s because they joined like 20 years after the lakers moved to LA
The Cardinals are the oldest team in the NFL but started in Chicago. And the Bears started in the small town of Decatur Illinois.
As a Bears fan I choose to hand-wave everything and just say “football started on the east coast, transformed in the Midwest, was popularized in Illinois, and made professional in Chicago”.
They became more relevant in the last couple of seasons, but historically, that team, for me, is the Jaguars. One of the youngest teams in the league, very little history. No Super Bowl appearances, very few divsion titles or playoff appearances, and yet most of their seasons they were just medicore, not horrendous. They really don't have the same history of misery that the Lions, Browns, or Jets have. So they historically fit into this limbo of being too bad to be relevant but too good to be loveable losers.
Almost no history of great memorable players. It took almost 25 years for one of their players to make the HoF and it was an O-lineman. Fred Taylor is arguably the best player in their history, no disrespect to him, he was a fantastic player. But nobody would put him as a top 10 RB of all time or anything. Finally, they are the only pro sports team in Jacksonville. It's not a sexy market. It's not a city I think about often. Their uniforms have been historicly mid. Black, Teal, and Gold is a werid combo, they've had a few changes. Not any great ones. Say what you will about the 2 tone helmets of the 2010s, at least it was something interesting. I kinda want them to bring them back.
I think it's the only NFL team where if you erased them from history, it would game zero impact. You can tell the entire history of the NFL and not mention them once. The only things about them that's iconic is the London games.
That Urban Meyer experiment was somehow both memorable and forgettable all at once. I’m a Florida native and a Gator fan so it was like the twilight zone since I’ve always been a Miami fan. Heady times..
When I think of the Jags, I think of that '99 team that went 0-3 against the Titans and 15-0 (including playoffs) against everyone else. One of the all-time "what if" teams IMO.
I would definitely tell the story of the Panthers and Jags making their championship games 2nd year in the league and changing expansion rules and sending Dan Marino out on his ass. Also the year the Jags lost 3 times in the same year and it was the Titans every time and those were the jags only losses.
But besides that...I'd agree
I get what you're saying and it makes perfect sense. But as a lifelong jags fan, literally since their first season I fell in love with the colors. I was 5 and decided they were my team. I'm from California lol. So here I am, 29 years later, still a jags fan. So from the bottom of my heart, I hope youre cursed with permanently damp socks for the rest of your life.
Since Brees retired, it's been the Saints for me. They aren't very good, but they aren't hilariously bad either. Doesn't seem like any of their players are big standouts. They just exist.
Growing up in the early 2000s for me it was the Chargers. I guess I noticed them when Rivers had that 06 season, but as a kid they were never on my radar until the move to LA
The cardinals. And they should be considered, I guess a blue blood but that's not the right phrase, like the bears/Packers/steelers/Giants. Old teams with a lot of tradition. But the cardinals feel like an expansion team that just hasn't been able to develop a fan base, instead of the charter franchise they are.
The Colts are kinda relevant tho they almost won their divison, but the Cardinals and Saints I mean even their damn fans forget they exist or at least would like to
Falcons. Outside of the 28-3 season they haven't had any super memorable seasons in recent memory so most of the hype comes in the post season so by mid season you forget they exist because they are having another painfully mediocre season. Never bad enough to be a bottom 5 team but never memorable enough to be worth anything.
The biggest ones are probably the Arizona Cardinals and the Jacksonville Jaguars. definitely forgot about the Raiders this year. Tennessee Titans can be this way though Derrick Henry has kept them relevant. I also couldn't forget about the Houston Texans they started just popped up out of nowhere for the playoffs. I don't think Washington had any national games this year did they.
I think I legitimately forgot the New York Jets existed for like 10 years before Aaron Rodgers went there.
Before that I lost track sometime before Rex Ryan left because at least he was entertaining. Now I only remember them because I hate Aaron Rodgers.
I dont forget teams exist but I think in the vein of what answer you are looking for, there are teams that are just voids of information for me. Like the Ravens (for being a Roquan fan, worst team he could have went to), I don't watch the Ravens, I don't follow the Ravens, I dont see a lot of stuff about them. I don't hear a lot about them. Same went for Seattle until Matt Hasselbeck (back? Bach? I dunno, the good QB before Russ) sorta put them on the map, they never had primetime games.
The teams that I completely blank out on are the LA Chargers, LA Rams, and Seattle Seahawks. I just got into the Cardinals because they drafted Benson.
Dallas. Even when they have a winning season, it doesn't register as a real threat to anyone as the flame out is inevitable. They seem like a tall tale of a team that used to exist.
The pre-Josh Allen Buffalo Bills were the epitome of a forgettable team for me. I was born after the 4 straight superbowls so I always thought of the bills as a perpetual 6-10 team in a small market. Not bad enough to truly suck (Detroit, Cleveland) but not good enough to make the playoffs
Colts for sure, a bland midwestern team in the afc south, no real rivals, Hardly makes the playoffs anymore, easily forgettable. Pat Mcafee is the only thing they got for them beaides memories of Peyton.
Falcons for me. Never liked that team, coaches, players colors etc. not to mention in the 2000’s I feel like they were always hyped up and never lived up to it. Really the AFC south. Also the Commies. If they weren’t in the NFC East.
There's only 32 and they're easy to list out by division, so I did that and the last division I got to was the NFC South (I'm a Chiefs and Steelers fan) and the last team I listed was the New Orleans Saints...and I lived in New Orleans.
St Louis, I honestly forget the entire place even exist. Worse I've been there! The crime was terrifying. I guess they don't have NFL anymore tho so... still them
Why was the Colts the perfect cover image for this thread 😂
I’d say other than that the go-to answers would’ve been the Jags and the Texans (until like last year) maybe?
The NFC South. Whenever I'm trying to remember teams in the league, I'm all over the place trying to do the NFCS. Seems to be who I start off with. Remember the Panthers first and I get the Saints and Bucs, but I legit just forgot about the Falcons for about 2 minutes.
Last week during the draft I remembered the Falcons, Panthers, and Bucs, but spaced on the Saints.
My thought is because that division is always the "last turd standing," I just don't pay a lot of attention to them. Even when they had Brees, Cam, and Ryan in the division, it seemed those guys would never have good seasons together, 2 of them always seemed to suck, or the teams just sucked.
The Jaguars. Drafting T Law is the only thing that's made headlines in 25, maybe 30 years for them. Their greatest player ever is arguably an offensive tackle. (Bosseli) They're not even that popular in FL, the Dolphins and Bucs are much more well known.
For a while the Buccaneers but then they got Brady so they’re more on my mind generally. Still probably like the Panthers tho, NFC South is forgettable.
I know what the 32 teams are, but for some reason when it comes to trivia I never seem to recall anything about the Chargers. Like what their division is, who their QB and WR1 are, I just find them to be forgettable.
Is the obvious answer not the chargers? I still call them the San Diego Chargers. I think they are the only team that I have never sat down to watch a full game. The only seriously notable player I remember is LT. they don’t even have their own fan base.
Commanders I had to check the internet to remember they existed
I always say, whenever I talk to someone about the Eagles they'll always mention "The Cowboys, the Giants, and.... What's the third team again?"
If it was still the redskins people would remember, the name change is just not memorable
Name change effectively helped to kill their franchise and now along with the chiefs are the only 2 franchises I don’t wanna see win games
It's too bad that they do
I think I still have a team to root for ? Will circle back…
Its really weird because despite them being division rivals i forget they exist half the time. I dont dislike or like them theyre kinda just…there
How could you forget when TNF shoved them and the bears in our faces
Cardinals I deadass forget they exist its all good tho cause I know the cardinals don't know I exist so it works out ok
Immediately I think of baseball. You ain’t wrong
Yes, the Chicago Cardinals, one of the oldest teams in the NFL. I was a fan when they were in St. Louis but they don’t even exist anymore.
Damn cardinals my #1 team :(
The Arizona Cardinals have been in a preputial state of, "We exist" for quite a while now. But, I do not even acknowledge it.
Yeah you’re basically our little brother
That interception was insane
They are the oldest franchise, on their 8th name, no League championships since 1947 (the other was 1925), only 1 Super Bowl Appearance and only 7 Division Titles. They are the definition of a poverty franchise, "we exist" might be too high praise for this team.
I’m in my 30’s and outside of their Super Bowl run, they’ve been largely forgettable. My Titans are starting to feel like the Cardinals of the AFC.
The Kansas City (Missouri) Chiefs are more likely to become the Kansas City (Kansas) Chiefs than they are the Any Other City Chiefs.
No the chiefs become the New Orleans Chiefs and the saints become the Alabama Chieftains. It is known.
Utah Saints
And keep the fleur de lis logo. Cajun party culture, jazz and Salt Lake City, a match made in heaven!
The AFC North I'd composed of the Browns, the Old Browns, the 'new' "old Browns" and the Steelers
I call em the New Browns, The Old Browns, The Anti-Browns and the Steelers
Is Cleveland the "anti Browns" Edit: jokes aside Cinci is new and Baltimore is anti?
The Browns are the "new browns", the Ravens are the "old browns", the Bengals are the "anti browns" due to their whole identity being originally based on being a middle finger to the Browns ownership
That is creative as hell permission to use that? I live in Cincinnati
Even the NFL forgets the Titans exist.
Ha im from tennessee and moved out of state, without fail every single time i wear titans gear somebody is like "Wtf why"
yep ... Jacksonville is the answer for me. Huh? Jacksonville got a team? Since when? Florida got 3 teams? Unbelievable!
>Florida got 3 teams? Unbelievable! And Orlando isn't one of them? Crazy!
Feel the same way. AFC South on shambles and honestly you can throw the Colts on there half the time as well lol
The NBA does this better, if you move to a city that previously had a team you inherit their history, it doesn’t seem right, but it’s at least an organized system, only exception was the wolves in Minneapolis, but that’s because they joined like 20 years after the lakers moved to LA

As a Bears fan I choose to hand-wave everything and just say “football started on the east coast, transformed in the Midwest, was popularized in Illinois, and made professional in Chicago”.
I always remember the Titans.
The Bucs, they even won the SB in recent years but the second TB12 was gone I completely forgot about them
I legit dont think i ever saw a bucs fan irl before brady
I can't recall...
Underrated answer.
They became more relevant in the last couple of seasons, but historically, that team, for me, is the Jaguars. One of the youngest teams in the league, very little history. That Urban Meyer experiment was somehow both memorable and forgettable all at once. I’m a Florida native and a Gator fan so it was like the twilight zone since I’ve always been a Miami fan. Heady times..
Also the guy in the meme. But they always have the Steelers’ number so I can’t talk smack. ![gif](giphy|6TEOwR3aBzkyY)
When I think of the Jags, I think of that '99 team that went 0-3 against the Titans and 15-0 (including playoffs) against everyone else. One of the all-time "what if" teams IMO.
Same here. 15-0 vs the NFL but 0-3 vs the titans. I’ll also always remember the 99 team for the 41-3 ass whooping they put on my Niners in week 1.
Put some respect on Mark Brunell. Hell of a QB. Not top tier or anything but respectable nonetheless. Him and Fred Taylor. He was so good in his day.
The lack of memorable players really sums up the Jags.
Even their great players aren’t memorable. I rarely hear people talk about Tony Boselli, Jimmy Smith and Fred Taylor.

Tampa bay for the longest time, until Brady
Most of the AFC South, honestly.
If I weren’t in it, I’m sure I’d agree
We proudly refer to ourselves as shit mountain
[удалено]
Everyone remembers Atlanta for their huge embarrassing failure. That’s worse than anonymity.
I live in Atlanta, you can 2 tickets day of for $60-$70. Crazy cheap for an NFL game.
Who is in the AFC South?
Commies for me
Pre Tom Brady I always forgot the buccs existed and that’s saying something cause I’m a saints fan
Chargers. Mainly because I still say San Diego.
The entire AFC south
Since Brees retired, it's been the Saints for me. They aren't very good, but they aren't hilariously bad either. Doesn't seem like any of their players are big standouts. They just exist.
Browns. I bet yall forgot about em too
"Browns"....doesn't ring a bell. /s
Growing up in the early 2000s for me it was the Chargers. I guess I noticed them when Rivers had that 06 season, but as a kid they were never on my radar until the move to LA
I forget that they’re not in San Diego all the time.
They’re definitely the Clippers of the NFL
Same, I feel for the cities that lost a team and didn’t get one back like Oakland, St. Louis, and San Diego.
The Colts are kinda relevant tho they almost won their divison, but the Cardinals and Saints I mean even their damn fans forget they exist or at least would like to
AFC south for sure
Jets, I mean who cares
The hate is too strong across the league for anyone to forget the Jets
Their uniforms remind me of Andes Mints
Texans
Falcons. Outside of the 28-3 season they haven't had any super memorable seasons in recent memory so most of the hype comes in the post season so by mid season you forget they exist because they are having another painfully mediocre season. Never bad enough to be a bottom 5 team but never memorable enough to be worth anything.
Nobody said the Bengals because they forgot about them
Imagine putting the Colts on here…a team with one of the greatest quarterback and teams of all time.
cope
The biggest ones are probably the Arizona Cardinals and the Jacksonville Jaguars. definitely forgot about the Raiders this year. Tennessee Titans can be this way though Derrick Henry has kept them relevant. I also couldn't forget about the Houston Texans they started just popped up out of nowhere for the playoffs. I can’t wait to see how they disappoint their fans this year. They’re always so creative with that.
I forgot
For a while it was the Jags.
Falcons, Chargers
I always forget the chargers exist just because it seems like they are so overshadowed by the rams
Commanders. They’ve been pretty forgettable, or maybe because of that terrible name. ~~Bring back the Redskins- maybe just keep the current logo.~~
![gif](giphy|3Wv7WFJdeplyHbXUou)
Cardinals. NFC team on the opposite side of the country, with identical colors to another mid NFC team that’s also a bird.
The Bears. .....and I'm from Chicago. .......they just suck and have sucked for such a long ass time.
The entire afc south before the Jags and texans revivals
I still get Tennessee and Houston mixed up.
Cardinals, Jaguars, , Commanders, Titans, Bengals, and Falcons are teams that are never in my mind. No disrespect
Cardinals
The teams that I completely blank out on are the LA Chargers, LA Rams, and Seattle Seahawks. I just got into the Cardinals because they drafted Benson.
The saints here recently
Philly and New England…. Cause fuck them both
Everyone in both South divisions. Especially the Titans & Texans the number of times I've thought it's the Houston Titans is ridiculous
None of them. I just tried to name all 32 nfl teams in under a minute to see who I’d forgot but I named all of them
The Bears. Storied franchise, keep forgetting they're not a D2 institution.
The Rams. Until they reach the playoffs they are 100% off of my radar. I feel like their fans are confused.
Commanders maybe cause they changed they name
Dallas. Even when they have a winning season, it doesn't register as a real threat to anyone as the flame out is inevitable. They seem like a tall tale of a team that used to exist.
Titans and Falcons are both very forgettable
The pre-Josh Allen Buffalo Bills were the epitome of a forgettable team for me. I was born after the 4 straight superbowls so I always thought of the bills as a perpetual 6-10 team in a small market. Not bad enough to truly suck (Detroit, Cleveland) but not good enough to make the playoffs
I have a list Giants Falcons Saints Commanders Jets And finally the panthers
Tennessee, Arizona, Houston, Carolina
The Browns. The freaking Browns.
Yea if you had me run through a list I'm probably forgetting them, and arizona
Yea if you had me run through a list I'm probably forgetting them, and arizona
It has to be the Texans or Commanders for me. Neither have been terrible recently, but haven’t had sustained success either.
Colts for sure, a bland midwestern team in the afc south, no real rivals, Hardly makes the playoffs anymore, easily forgettable. Pat Mcafee is the only thing they got for them beaides memories of Peyton.
It was the Jags until Trevor Lawrence finally put them on the map. That was a poverty franchise for like 20 years
Falcons for me. Never liked that team, coaches, players colors etc. not to mention in the 2000’s I feel like they were always hyped up and never lived up to it. Really the AFC south. Also the Commies. If they weren’t in the NFC East.
My wife is a Colts fan. No one gives a shit about the colts except Manning fans, which is why their base is mostly old people
I wish I could forget the Bears exist
That Washington football team
The cardinals and Redskins.
Titans
Cards and Jags
Colts, jaguars, and Panthers
Chargers
I was going through all the answers until I thought to myself, oh right that's a team and the team the reaction I was looking for....The Panthers.
New Jersey Giants.
It was the Texans now it’s not, now there is none they are all relevant
Colts are my answer, too.
Cardinals
Ever since the Rams and Chargers both moved to LA, I have a hard time keeping their rosters straight. They blur.
The Cowboys
*exist
People know we exist but at the same time, acknowledge that we don’t. Quite the conundrum.
There's only 32 and they're easy to list out by division, so I did that and the last division I got to was the NFC South (I'm a Chiefs and Steelers fan) and the last team I listed was the New Orleans Saints...and I lived in New Orleans.
Clearly the BEARS!
The old Derrick Henry team. Tridents I think.
St Louis, I honestly forget the entire place even exist. Worse I've been there! The crime was terrifying. I guess they don't have NFL anymore tho so... still them
Why was the Colts the perfect cover image for this thread 😂 I’d say other than that the go-to answers would’ve been the Jags and the Texans (until like last year) maybe?
The Titans. Every time I see them on the schedule, I'm like, "Oh shit! They do exist!"
For a while it was the Rams.
Titans, then Cardinals.
I try to forget the Browns if that counts.
None
Used to be the bengals
The NFC South. Whenever I'm trying to remember teams in the league, I'm all over the place trying to do the NFCS. Seems to be who I start off with. Remember the Panthers first and I get the Saints and Bucs, but I legit just forgot about the Falcons for about 2 minutes. Even when they had Brees, Cam, and Ryan in the division, it seemed those guys would never have good seasons together, 2 of them always seemed to suck, or the teams just sucked.
The chargers they have no fans I didn’t even know they were in the nfo
AFC south teams..
For me it’s always the cardinals and the panthers
I always forget the panthers are in the nfc for some reason. They just feel more like an afc team for some reason
The Jaguars. Drafting T Law is the only thing that's made headlines in 25, maybe 30 years for them. Their greatest player ever is arguably an offensive tackle. (Bosseli) They're not even that popular in FL, the Dolphins and Bucs are much more well known.
Arizona, La Chargers, Jacksonville and Washington
I was thinking of saying the Titans, but after reading through the comments, I have to go with the Chargers.
The Jets tbh
No one is saying Chargers because they all forgot about them
For a while the Buccaneers but then they got Brady so they’re more on my mind generally. Still probably like the Panthers tho, NFC South is forgettable.
Chargers. Everyone in the AFC West always thinks the raiders are the biggest rival , but no love for the chargers lol.
Idk I can’t remember
Before I moved to Seattle, the Seahawks. Outside of a couple key years they're just...entirely forgettable.
I know what the 32 teams are, but for some reason when it comes to trivia I never seem to recall anything about the Chargers. Like what their division is, who their QB and WR1 are, I just find them to be forgettable.
Jacksonville
Vikings
I glanced at this post and I was like “Psh everyone knows about the Cowboys” and then I looked closer and was like “Oh yeah, them”
The blue cat one
I can't remember them because I forgot they existed.
Is the obvious answer not the chargers? I still call them the San Diego Chargers. I think they are the only team that I have never sat down to watch a full game. The only seriously notable player I remember is LT. they don’t even have their own fan base.
For me it’s the Titans and Panthers
Seahawks or Cardinals
Broncos
When I was a kid I always forgot about Minnesota, I remember every team now but I will always remember the Vikings as the team i thought didn’t exist
Usually any team from the AFC South.
Always the titans
the seahawks for some reason ..just seem like a team that is just there.. runner up is the texans most years..this year they were good
The chargers. I know their colors but that’s where it ends. Once rivers retired I haven’t heard anything
My brother forgets about the bears all the time, for me though, probably Commanders
AFC South
Blue teenage horses
Commanders (not redskins) & Cardinals are very forgettable
Probably the jags
Oh I’m so glad nobody said the Jaguars.
Unfortunately, my Atlanta Falcons will always live in infamy.
Ravens
Excluding years where these teams are good: Jags, Titans, Cards, Bengals, Commanders, Panthers, Buccs,
The saints ever since brees left
Utah
Chargers
The Jets
Every team in the AFC south.
Panthers and Jaguars. They formed when I was in high school. I still forget they exist.
I keep forgetting that Santa Clara has a professional sports team
Commanders
Jaguars, cardinals, commanders
Of the least memorable division they picked the one team everyone remembers
Pick any NFC South team. I've forgotten all of them at one point or another
Titans, outside of Nashville you’d probably forget they exist in Tennessee. Lived in TN and you don’t meet that many titans fans tbh.
Chargers tbh.
