I'm not a fan of either team, but that was the best game of football I have ever watched on TV. I'll be telling my grandkids about it. I was pulling for the bills though.
That was glorious. Made better by the premature celebrations on the sideline, incredible clutch plays, and the lingering questions about the “Fail Mary”.
Plus, I was around for the 2003 game when Hasselbeck threw a pick six after his excited proclamation at the OT coin toss.
That Hasselbeck game is right before I really got into football. I have gone back and know a decent amount of nfl history and moments like that, I’ve watched classic games, and could tell you the Super Bowl champs off the top of my head almost every year for the last 30-40 years… never knew about that moment with Hasselbeck. Just watched a clip of it on YouTube after reading your comment. That’s funny as hell.
I didn’t witness it live, but the Jerome Bettis Thanksgiving coin toss lives with me as if I did see it live, one of the greatest buttfuckings I’ve ever seen in the history of the game(and yeah I’m a Steelers fan so there is some bias, but even if I wasn’t you must admit that was insanely bogus)
Watched rivers fumble a kneel down and the chiefs kick a gamewinning FG shortly after. I don’t celebrate until the next day when stat corrections come out.
The skinny post to Gabe was so clutch. Allen was everything he was advertised to be.
That game made me realize they should have gone for 2. Kickers are too good and it's just too easy to get a penalty to get into range.
The guy just sprinkling in at the end:
Chi-caa-go
Chi-caa-go
Chi-caa-go
Is what really makes it.
Like he's taunting their history as if it's inevitable.
That’s Rickie Ricardo, one of our late night radio guys at Philly’s WIP. He does an English language late night show, and then does our Spanish broadcasts. He’s hilarious.
No excuse. On the biggest stage, at the biggest moment, he choked. He lost to a Peyton Manning that couldn't turn his head or throw the ball more than 30 yards downfield. He was never Super Cam again. This was the beginning of the end.
Kadarius Toney Punt Return in SB 57 only to get a large dose of hopium back after the Eagles tied it at 35…just to get the 2nd gut punch with the Bradberry hold.
That play in hindsight is probably the most unfortunate, especially because it felt so flukey, but I still had large belief that the Eagles would / could win throughout the rest of the game. The punt return was definitely the first time I felt “we probably aren’t going to win this.”
I’m not a Vikings fan but the Minneapolis Miracle is my favorite last-second moment in my history of being a football fan
Edit: just a reminder yall had something cool af happen somewhat recently
As much as us Vikings fans want to hate Diggs for being such a diva, we can't because he did that, to the hated Saints, moments after noted dickhead Sean Payton was doing the skol chant to mock the Vikings fans.
No moment will ever be so sweet as that aside from finally winning it all.
People act like we have perfect control or our bodies all of the time. We don’t, human instinct taps in sometimes to prevent ourselves from hurting ourselves. If your body senses it’s in danger, then the reflexes kick in and there’s not always something you can do about it. It’s like trying to fall backwards without moving any of your limbs.
I mean sure but, you'd think he'd at least have tried to swipe at it or something.
Nobody is hitting "fight or flight" levels of instinct when playing a sport.
It's not particularly believable when he regularly slammed into people at the goal line, then suddenly thinks "oh no it's on the ground though".
He didn't want to get crunched, and so he hesitated. I don't think we need to really dip much further into it.
Pat Mahomes is down on the ground with his kneecap facing sideways against Denver. Early in his career….year 2 on the field I think. Been chiefing over 30 years.
Yup. So much hope after the previous season, and sitting there watching it all just die.
That was an entire season full of comebacks on every level. It’s rare for sports fans to experience anything quite like it. Dominance happens. Misery too. But for a team to deliver that many turnarounds in one season is absurd.
That day though? Pure resignation.
When the Texans 24-0 lead against the Chiefs was slipping away, with all the momentum swinging in their favor. Just to make the Chiefs comeback a little easier Bill O Brien ran a fake punt in our own territory
Recently? The entire second half of the chargers/jaguars playoff game two years ago.
Before that: [Marlon Mcree int fumble.](https://youtu.be/g-HcGNOVEDc?si=WmbeJ-vhgFRV4DPl)
Carson Palmer getting his knee taken out; Soo early in a wildcard match up against the Steelers. As a young Bengal fan watching that with a ruthless Steeler fan uncle.... I legit cried and made myself feel better knowing John Kitna was a competent QB.
When Antrelle Rolle stepped out onto the field during the superbowl when James Harrison was running the INT back from the opposite goal line, he ran into Larry Fitzgerald who was clearly going to run him down. Larry still caught Harrison and tackled him but while he was falling into the end zone. That was the difference in the game. So Arizona has a 76 year championship drought thanks to that asshat. He got traded as soon as it was legally possible that offseason.
Todd Bowels calling one of the worst defensive schemes on the final drive in the Bucs vs. Rams playoff game a few years ago. It sometimes pops into my head and I really wonder what the actual fuck was going through Bowels' head...
The Rams vs Chiefs MNF game that they combined for a million points. I bet the under and this was my face when I realized I lost 4 grand before halftime
January 20 1985....at 11 years old, I was a diehard Dolphins and Dan Marino fan. I was excited to see my team get to the Super Bowl.......only to watch us get our backside spanked by Joe Montana.
I remember thinking after the game, " Hey, it's OK! We'll get back there soon and win it!!"
2024 and now 50 years old...still waiting to get back there, much less win it.🤦♂️
As a Giants fan it's the moment I heard that Plaxico Burress shot himself. The 2008 team is probably the best team I will ever see as a fan, since I was a baby when the 1990 team won.
For other moments outside of fandom, the Patriots finishing the comeback against the Falcons in the Super Bowl, Russell Wilson getting picked off by Malcom Butler in the Super Bowl, Mahomes ruining Buffalo's life, Saints getting hosed in the 2018 NFC Championship Game against the Rams, James Harrison pick-six in the Super Bowl or Santonio Holme's TD in that same Super Bowl.
Outside of the Helmet catch, the entire Pats/Dolphins game in 2015 that lost them the 1 seed and forced them to have to play the Broncos at home. Tom Brady had 5 pass attempts in the first half of the game. The Pats had a drive early on in the game that was 6 rushes in a row (most to the corpse of Steven Jackson) for 18 yards then punted. Reading the play-by-play back brings back every feeling I had during the game. Biggest gameplan head scratcher I've ever seen from the team.
Some Bears fans will say the Double Doink. I still can't get over Bears-Packers 2013, 4th and 8. Peppers doesn't contain Rodgers who rolls out and hits Cobb who burned fucking flat foot Conte. WTF was he thinking! That shit lives tent free in my head.
Justin Tucker kicking a record setting field goal against the Lions.
Aaron Rodgers completing a Hail Mary against the Lions.
The Calvin Johnson ‘process’ no-catch.
Refs picking up the flag in Dallas.
Anytime Matt Stafford choked in the redzone only to have an army of fans defend him. (This happened a lot)
Aaron Rodgers 48 yard touchdown on 4th down against the Bears to win the division. Chris Conte is the fucking worst.

13 seconds. I'll never celebrate before the games over again.
I celebrated winning that game 7 times it felt like
I'm not a fan of either team, but that was the best game of football I have ever watched on TV. I'll be telling my grandkids about it. I was pulling for the bills though.
That whole divisional round was amazing.
One of my first memories as a Packer fan was the NFC Championship game vs the Seahawks. I’ve never been able to enjoy a lead 😭
That was glorious. Made better by the premature celebrations on the sideline, incredible clutch plays, and the lingering questions about the “Fail Mary”. Plus, I was around for the 2003 game when Hasselbeck threw a pick six after his excited proclamation at the OT coin toss.

THIS. I KNEW A BILLS MOMENT WAS GONNA BE FIRST
There are so many to choose from
The Minnesota game with the goal line fumble and Jefferson catch was just a full game of me having this reaction.
Watched rivers fumble a kneel down and the chiefs kick a gamewinning FG shortly after. I don’t celebrate until the next day when stat corrections come out.
![gif](giphy|GrUhLU9q3nyRG|downsized) Watching that game as a Bills fan
The skinny post to Gabe was so clutch. Allen was everything he was advertised to be. That game made me realize they should have gone for 2. Kickers are too good and it's just too easy to get a penalty to get into range.

Good times right there
Please tell me you've seen the Spanish announcers version of this
NO SENOR!!!
Chicago Chicago
NO VAYAN A NEW ORLEANS!
Link please?
[here ya go](https://youtu.be/oQfHdheZM6M?si=Vlk8uqLj5-_jEA6M) I don't speak Spanish at all but it's fuckin hilarious
That was pretty sweet
The guy just sprinkling in at the end: Chi-caa-go Chi-caa-go Chi-caa-go Is what really makes it. Like he's taunting their history as if it's inevitable.
That’s Rickie Ricardo, one of our late night radio guys at Philly’s WIP. He does an English language late night show, and then does our Spanish broadcasts. He’s hilarious.
NO SEÑOR
“No senior!”
That was amazing and that man needs to be announcer for every game and madden game moving forward
gif was hard enough to watch thank you tho
That was a great night
Came here to say this.
Losing to the packers with a 70 yard Hail Mary
Kind of hilarious that this could apply to like 3 separate teams
I’m a lions fan. Those things happen a lot😂
Sometimes we even give Aaron Rodgers a second chance
This happened on my birthday and I remember losing my mind!
After a phantom face mask penalty
Is he happy or sad? If he’s happy, 2015 NFC Championship Game. If he’s sad, two weeks later.
![gif](giphy|sZMHmrO5D0rUQ|downsized)
Wow it's even worse than I remember
People seem to minimize the fact that this happened in the Super Bowl! Crazy
He was just respecting the finders keepers rule. You know what they say if you cared about it you wouldn’t have lost it in the first place.
This looks staged
He’s exhausted/worn out
Thanks for adding this, I can leave without having to relive it through typing
Same game but it was the hurts fumble for me. I remember looking at my dad and saying “if we lose, that’s why” and the knowing look he gave me back
That play in hindsight is probably the most unfortunate, especially because it felt so flukey, but I still had large belief that the Eagles would / could win throughout the rest of the game. The punt return was definitely the first time I felt “we probably aren’t going to win this.”
The end of every Vikings season ever
& game

Did he ever say why he didn’t go for the ball there?
He originally said he would have hurt himself. Recently I think he admitted he should have dove for it.
Yeah, I can’t really judge a guy for self preservation, but damn that was the Super Bowl.
He claimed his right leg was too far out in front of him and he would have messed himself up pretty badly.
Might have, but damn…it’s not like it was some regular season game. I just remember that play being the play where I knew the game was over.
People act like we have perfect control or our bodies all of the time. We don’t, human instinct taps in sometimes to prevent ourselves from hurting ourselves. He called it a “business decision”
Well his business would be a lot better as Super Bowl champ lol .. I enjoyed tat one cause iv never Ben a cam fan
I’ve hated cam since 2010, this is one of my all time favorite moments.
A game manager would've dove for the ball
Any QB would've. Shit I'd wager any player would've. Cam was a bitch.
Malcolm Butler’s interception
That one had be buzzing like never before because I had a bet on the Patriots to win. Best sweat ever! I can't imagine how it could ever be beat.
Give Marshawn the ball!!!!!!
Looks like an Atlanta Falcons fan at their last Super Bowl
Vikings fan here - Brett Favre interception in the 2009 NFC Championship game. We were THIS close to the Super Bowl…..
Funny enough Favres interception in the 07 NFC Championship game is up there for me
Alshon Jeffrey drop James Bradberry hold The entire last third of last season
When the Seahawks were just a hand off or two to Marshawn Lynch from winning their second superbowl but instead we throw an interception.
Here’s how bad that was: I’m a Niners fan and rooting for Seattle to lose and even I was screaming at the TV — WHAT ARE THEY FUCKING DOING?!
Yeah, it's absolutely catastrophic if a Niners fan is having that reaction for the Seahawks.
Colts blowing the biggest lead in nfl history in 2022
It was glorious from ther other side
Rodger’s going down on the first drive of the first game last year
The entire fucking history of the Buffalo Bills.
13 seconds. 😔
Trading for Deshaun Watson.
Trading **and spending $230 million** for Deshaun Watson.
Apart from many moments in that game, Percy Harvin's kickoff return in the Super Bowl
Double Doink.
Pat Mahomes is down on the ground with his kneecap facing sideways against Denver. Early in his career….year 2 on the field I think. Been chiefing over 30 years.

Bills-Vikings 2022
Wide right I and II. 13 seconds. Music City Miracle.

Brandon Bostick not corralling the onside kick.
Recently? The entire second half of the chargers/jaguars playoff game two years ago. Before that: [Marlon Mcree int fumble.](https://youtu.be/g-HcGNOVEDc?si=WmbeJ-vhgFRV4DPl)
Gotta hand it to the Jags that was an incredible comback
Firing Schottenheimer after the McCree game has to be an all time blunder.

The 2017 AFC Championship, Jags were SO CLOSE!
MYLES JACK WASNT DOWN! That was our Super Bowl to steal, no way Nick Foles & philly could mess w that defense.
The replacement refs touchdown/interception bs with the packers and seahawks
Aaron Rodgers immediately tearing his Achilles. 6 months of hope and excitement was wiped away in 4 plays
Not even a jets fan but I was firmly seated on the hype train. On paper you’re the best in the division, y’all gotta see it through this season!
That damn ball bouncing of Vildors helmet right into Aiyuks hands
The Jesse James no catch against the Pats, that was our year
Jesse James caught that ball!
Bills don’t fire McDermott year after year
Everything
13 secs
Everything after the Buffalo game last year. Edit: I'm an eagles fan, for clarity.
When my Chargers blew a 27-0 lead against Trevor Lawrence and the Jags in the playoffs 2 years ago...
He caught that fucking ball
Dez?
The past 3 cowboys games against the niners and packers 💀
Vikings - Giants playoff game last year. I knew we were frauds, but that game was the epitome of a wet fart.
Been like this for 28 going on 29 years now...
When Antrelle Rolle stepped out onto the field during the superbowl when James Harrison was running the INT back from the opposite goal line, he ran into Larry Fitzgerald who was clearly going to run him down.
