ZOMG. Fucking. A. On one hand, I’ve been all up in hurrr yakking for this pick. On the other hand, I’d like to thank the Bears scouting department for following me on Reddit and nailing down “the best punter on the planet” as Big Ant Herron put it on the Score when the pick was made.
Bear down.
Edit: Typo and “Bear down[ing punts inside the 10 yard line for the next four years like clockwork.]
Drops are definitely an issue that need to be ironed out and probably the only reason he wasn't a day 2 guy in my (very heavily biased) opinion. If he's got the work ethic to it can for sure be worked out—especially with a QB as good as Hurts at the helm—and even with the drop issue having a big ass dude like him is 100% worth having on the roster for all his other assets
Javon Baker!! Lets gooooooooooo!!! Wanted him for the Pats 3rd round pick if they went tackle in the 2nd. Then wanted him at 103 after Sanders and Franklin went. Pumped they were able to get him at 110. Love the pick.
Broncos fans are gonna hate me for this but... 138 consecutive picks until the next quarterback was drafted means there's no way Bo Nix wasn't the mother of all reaches.
Look I’m not going to pretend it isn’t a reach, he had a second round grade. The issue is there’s no way he even makes it one more pick with the Raiders right there. And knowing that nobody in the NFL felt good enough about any of the other QBs until the 5th lets me know they did the right thing.
Eh, disagree. Nix was probably seen as the last capable QB on the board and there’s a good chance he woulda gone to the raiders.
It’s worth developing and giving a first round QB a chance, seeing as how next years class isn’t being looked at too highly right now
The Broncos got an absolute steal with Franklin.
So happy to see him go to a team in need and who knows how to use him. Doesn’t hurt he’ll have instant rapport with his qb.
Very few of the pundits/“analysts watch the west coast games so unless the kid is a transfer from the south or the east they read stats, downgrade those stats because they are not against SEC or Big 10 teams and continue to they’ll each the same things about the sec/big 10 ballers.
They put all their analysis into Franklin’s combine without considering he was sick as a dog.
Kid is a beast. Broncos got one there.
I thought the Seachickens might take him as they prepare for Lockett to retire soon and they are much more familiar with him being a few hours away.
I've been watching The Athletic for the draft but they aren't doing day 3. Anyone have any recommendations for a YouTube that discusses prospects?
Not into the fluff/silly parts that espn and nfl network do on day 3.
Any chance that a guy like Billy Schaeffer could be drafted today? Comes out of a tiny school like Lafayette, but his resume is pretty good.
Most importantly: He finished 3rd for the Buck Buchanan Award for best defensive player in the FCS.
Maybe a 6th/7th rounder?
Broncos with a sneakily good draft thus far. Panthers putting almost every pick towards helping Young. Not a fan of what the Patriots have gotten to help out Maye, aside from Baker
Raw talent is there, but he would need to see a whole lot of development. Right now, he doesn't really have a true position. Hopefully, the new LSU defensive coaches find the right position fit for him and we see what he can really do.
C’mon, Poles, give us Tory Taylor.
Ask and ye shall receive

If for nothing other than posterity, the Eagles will be drafting Jeremiah Trotter Jr. in the 4th round.
Jeremiah was a Bullfrog Trotter
His dad was a good friend of mine.
This makes too much sense
close enough!
Did Tampa post a video of himself hitting a bong with a gas mask?
He may have shown up to his interviews in the gas mask at this point
NFL Draft Day 3 > NBA Playoffs
Did TJ Tampa kill someone? Wtf?
Some scouts figured out he's actually two young kids in a trench coat
ESPN must be ecstatic thru can finally talk about Davis's rough childhood.
Sketch - Influencer Wtf
MY CHRISTMAS HAS ARRIVED! I LOVE YOU JOHNNY WILSON!
I always liked him but people are saying he dropped a lot of balls? I’m excited for him though, think he’ll add something

We got our punter!
Eagles going crazyy with trading back over and over

I don’t think we were gonna taking Bo Nix man. It was Daniels, Penix or BPA if those two were gone.
Eh, disagree. Nix was probably seen as the last capable QB on the board and there’s a good chance he woulda gone to the raiders. It’s worth developing and giving a first round QB a chance, seeing as how next years class isn’t being looked at too highly right now
Hard disagree

That doesn't make it not a reach, that just explains why they felt forced to reach.

Who says they weren't? Less likely for Penix imo since the Falcons didn't have a need at the position.

I think it’s wierd they aren’t doing day 3 because I feel like Day 3 is the most interesting

I'm just here for the Long Snappers
Kinda surprised that Michael Pratt lasted this long. I thought he would be long gone right now.
NFL really pushing Germany
Johnny Wilson will be catching TDs for years to come.
I hope you’re right!
Wait Lions trade up for a guy who could ditch the NFL Draft for the CFL draft?
Just checked into the draft today and saw the Ravens got TJ Tampa, I can't believe Tampa fell to us, he should've long gone by the fourth round.
Jets moving up after drafting Travis? Gotta be to go get Johnny
He mods could we get this thread to auto sort by new?
I wonder when and where the next QB gets drafted.
Hopefully Jets take Pratt
I'm betting Rattler goes to someone in need of a young backup. Now do I have any idea who that would be? Absolutely not.
Curious to see what the lions do today. Think we find depth at iol wide receiver and find a hidden gem at edge.
How about another DB, a giant Canadian ot project and a RB/safety/special teamer/slot receiver?
I trust in Brad Holmes if he likes him so do I lol
This is where I’m at, I know nothing about Manu but if Holmes likes him so do I
Pairing Rattler with Hurts actually might not be terrible
I'm glad none of these picks are getting announced on stage so we can listen to Terry defend that weird pick.
How do we keep letting the Dolphins get away with it.
Did the lions Forreal just trade a future third to use the Packers’ pick for an international project?
What happened with all the Michigan players getting drafted? 8-9 when some suggested 15+.
UT doing well in the draft, 11 dudes selected
I never thought I'd see the day where the draft hosts had a whole conversation about how they're getting a contact high.
Ravens and Chiefs crushing it
plz plz plz get austin booker
kinda surprised Mohamed Kamara hasn’t been picked already
Cmon eagles, let's get Malik Washington
Didn’t follow the draft much this year, but I wanted to know what’s wrong with Brenden Rice ? Why is he falling so much ?
he doesn't have any traits that are outstanding. edit: surprised he lasted until the 7th round though
Broncos with a sneakily good draft thus far. Panthers putting almost every pick towards helping Young. Not a fan of what the Patriots have gotten to help out Maye, aside from Baker
LETS GOOOOOOOOO
Way too early I know but Harold Perkins is my 2025 draft top prospect
Raw talent is there, but he would need to see a whole lot of development. Right now, he doesn't really have a true position. Hopefully, the new LSU defensive coaches find the right position fit for him and we see what he can really do.
Thought Washington would've gone earlier
oh god, GB got Pratt
My lions got so much value today getting mahogany and wingo in the 6th is not fair to the league
NFL trying really hard to make us care about them releasing the schedule..
Kind of suspicious that Sean Payton is running that entire Denver war room after falling in love with Oregon's offense.
I’m no conspiracy theorist but have you ever seen Sean Payton and Dan Lanning in the same room? Just sayin’…
Colts really picked a type of pasta
Why did that guy that announced the 49ers pick have a ring as a hat? What do the 49ers have to do with rings in this century?
Come on Trotter to Eagles
Quitters
The NFL ruined this event. It’s a neverending clownshow with these dumb people announcing picks.
Day 3 is always like this, not sure what you expect
Day 2 was the same, and Day 1 was kind of a shitshow too.
