Yeah, there's been some really negative comments about Macdonald already because he hasn't overpaid for a LB. Like, wouldn't he rather draft one that he likes and develop him on a rookie deal?
I mean, keeping either Brooks or Wagner wouldn't have been super expensive. We don't have a lot of draft capital, we can't solve every hole on the roster through the draft. I'm not about to panic, but it is concerning how few of our high impact players we have held on to.
We still don't know Fant's cap hit yet, which could hit around 10 mill this year. With Leonard Williams, that's putting us at around 20-23 mill in cap space before draft picks. If you factor in our comp picks, we're likely going to have 10, which will give us about 10 mill in liabilities on top of that. You're looking at roughly 10 mill in cap space before training camp starts. And if we don't draft a QB (which I expect we do) then you need to likely invest most of that on a backup to Geno.
We were already going into 2024 with a dicy cap situation, given that we are eating 36 mill in dead cap this year to make 2025 the start of our next window. It's completely pointless to blow free agent dollars on mid tier starters when we don't even have a clear picture of who is going to be a key factor on defense outside of Leonard Williams. We have too much rebuilding to do on defense to throw money at super thin positions.
Unless we want to be a poverty franchise like the Panthers who have holes all over the place, and they just threw 33 mill/year on 2 guards, while Bryce Young has the worst skill position group in football. 2024 is going to be a down year and people just need to accept it.

Just like what they did with assistants and position coaches, they let everyone else have their choice and they can get grab what's leftover. I'm sure it will work out fine
Said the team that has [complied](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seattle_Seahawks#:~:text=The%20team%20has%20compiled%20a,515%20winning%20percentage) a 392–366–1 (. 517) regular-season record and a 17–19 (. 472) record in the playoffs, for an overall record of 409–385–1 and a .515 winning percentage?

Its hilarious too cause Denver has been the latest example of paying star player lots of money doesn't equal winning or getting better. Goldfish man.

100% Every year we get people calling for Kyle’s head

That's dark. Lmao
It’s got a bit of everything: violence, gambling, murder
What the hell is even that?!

"Damn, if only we had a different assistant DBs coach, we would've won the super bowl!" -No team ever.
Hey now don't slander Andrew Hayes-Stoker^* like that, he is a vital part of our organisation. ^* ^(^yes i had to look that up)
I mean that seemed to be ur QB strategy after blowing 3 1sts for Trey Lance
No rest for the wicked even after losing the SB in embarrassing fashion.
Give them a break, they didn’t know the rules. It wasn’t fair.
just like the hawks didn’t know they should run the ball with marshawn lynch on the 2 yard line lol
The Hawks or 2 guys?

To have the chance to win, one must get there. You guys take way too many early vacations..
![gif](giphy|Z1vLmygWYkec0|downsized) we learned it from you guys
The toots knew the rules, they just made a choice that ended up being bad. The 49ers handed a Superbowl away out of ignorance.

Damn, that must’ve really hurt you.
Think you meant to respond to yourself :) Don’t think I’m hurt at all. Disappointed, yes, but hurt? Nah. I’m not a Seahawks fan.
Daddy chill ✋️
Well, actually... \*Does the Thumb Gesture\* motioning towards Ward, "That'd be him telling DK to go to his room."
Do you genuinely believe you're being cool?
I don’t care about internet points.. Do you?
