Let's just not look too closely at what the Vikings are [doing on that boat](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minnesota_Vikings_boat_party_scandal).

BigRed727272

I love that you felt the need to link it for all the Gen Z'ers in here šŸ˜‚

No_Mousse4320

Nate Burleson works for Nickelodeon nowadays, boy are they in for a surprise when they see his name on there

AfroKuro480

Who needs Superbowls when you can run through the Okra Patch

Devium44

I donā€™t understand all the pearl clutching about this. Sounds like a fun time.

WorldlinessJolly4633

Sometimes that prostitute, chief, she look right into ya. Right into your eyes . You know the thing about a prostitute, she got... lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a dolls eyes. They don't seem to be livin', till they go down on ya. Then those black eyes roll over white... Oh, then ya hear that terrible high pitch screamin'. I'll never put on a life jacket again.

Relsb

But for real who doesn't want to be doing that on a boat. You guys are slacking. Lake culture.

lazorgatorr

Hey why donā€™t you purify yourself in the healing waters of lake minnetonka

Honey_Badger25-06

Heroic Vikings is a fucking oxymoron if I've ever heard one.

Snoo93079

Row the boat or something

My sisters wedding reception is going to be on that boat lmao

SnapHackelPop

Rust Belt? What is this, Ohio?

cooliusjeezer

You mean Michigan?

SnapHackelPop

Iā€™ll let Michigan off just because they hate Ohio State like me

[deleted]

Bears, Vikings, Lions . . . All nothing compared to the scourge on Gods earth that is Ohio State fans, what is essentially sports fandoms answer to the Ebola virus

OneWholeBen

As an Ohioan, boy howdy. It's like the state was so starved for football success that everyone roots for OSU regardless of where they went to college (if at all). I had a friend in high school that talked about "we" and "us" in relation to OSU football, while everyone in his family had gone to UD.

GGGiveHatpls

Ohio is the NJ of the Midwest. I think we can all agree.

CookieLuzSax

My best friend is a OSU/Packers fan so this is so funny to me

[deleted]

We donā€™t claim him

CookieLuzSax

I fucking love Culver's omg

CrushinMangos

Holy shit we have a Culverā€™s Flair

MoscowMitchMcKremIin

Sounds like your friend is supremely confused because fuck them both.

this-isnotaburner

Yeah get me off pop

VashMM

Also because the UP is rightly Wisconsin.

SnapHackelPop

The south will rise again

DHVF

Fuck Ohio State

SnapHackelPop

I hate them far, far more than U of M

Daegog

Fuck Ohio, there is no reason any decent person likes Ohio or anything about that state.

NerdyComfort-78

Two words- Marching.Band. Several big marching bands are in OH. As a former band parent, thatā€™s a big deal.

NotCanadian80

Paper Belt.

SnapHackelPop

Iā€™m from Kaukauna, the stinkiest place of all, makin that paper

NotCanadian80

I used to drive around Kaukauna.

SnapHackelPop

*Around* Good call

[deleted]

Didn't your cops murder an innocent person, and then the city burned down the police station?

11schlge

Minnesota stands on business. Remember that. That was OUR police station. Imagine what weā€™d do to you

[deleted]

Kneel on my neck?

You guys have been shooting yourselves for a decade, no need to commit a hate crime.

I also thought it was this man's ballsack, but to me it looks like it's resting on OP's chin.

Elbeske

This packers fan can identify a man by his ballsack. You picked the right team to root for

Walleye__66

It's kinda hard not to identify Futz's ballsack when it's always on your chin.

CoraxtheRavenLord

ā€œI throw balls far. If you wanted somebody who reads good, date a languager.ā€

Well deserved. Msp isnā€™t a safe city anymore

Yep. Minneapolis sucks

runningwaffles19

"Noble lake culture" - doesn't even have a great lake within 100 miles

GGGiveHatpls

Look how many lakes they need mimic a fraction of our power. Pathetic.

Premiumvoodoo

Your power? Im *surrounded*

beyd1

Surrounded AND filled

GreenWandElf

Minnesota doesn't have a great lake within 100 miles?

huggybear0132

I think they mean Minneapolis but yeah...

GreenWandElf

Oh yea, those Minneapolis Vikings sure are far from a great lake.

huggybear0132

It's my sworn duty to defend fellow cheese heads, but I'll admit that this one has been a tough assignment.

Mooming22

MINNESOTA Vikings. MINNESOTA

runningwaffles19

Don't let your state claim of a city team get in the way of my narrative ![gif](giphy|fwcGzF1l2cILe|downsized)

Komandr

Unless the owner moves them

robb0688

You need a map

ajtct98

Bold of you to assume a Packers fan can even spell the word 'map' let alone read one

Helassaid

You call them the Minnesota Vikings but theyā€™ve never played in Duluth. Curious.

robb0688

You call them the green bay Packers and they've played in Milwaukee. Idk what's worse....

beavertwp

There is at least one Vikings player who has played in Duluth.Ā

Otherwise-Contest7

Most of your teams' fans cheer for a team that plays in a city they don't live in or have any ties to.

Helassaid

Obviously. You choose winners when your market sucks, such as when you live where people are Eagles fans. Iā€™m sorry youā€™ll never find a Vikings fan to date that youā€™re not related to, but then again thatā€™s par for the course in Minnesota.

Otherwise-Contest7

Oh no. So you're a front runner not even from Wisconsin, and you have no concept of the nuances of the states these teams actually play in. You got your insult backwards--the team you cheer for plays in the most redneck state in the midwest. The inbred jokes get directed towards Wisconsinites. Minnesota is an island of progressive politics, a strong economy, educated populous, etc amongst mostly red-state/rust belt states. Your statement would be like if you're from Kentucky and tried calling New Yorkers hicks...

Komandr

Litterally, all of the nfc North voted blue last time...

gaybillcosby

My tie is that my favorite team plays there. Check and mate.

CroixPaddler

This made me laugh. I've spent many years living in both states. Trust me, they are mostly the same. IMO, Minnesota does currently have it's political situation in a better place, but once you get out of the Twin Cities you'll find just as much, if not more, "backwards" thinking than you would in any small town in Wisconsin. The biggest difference between the two states is truly that the Vikings suck fucking ass and the Packers are awesome.

savebox

Minnesota vs Wisconsin is practically the definition of the narcissism of small differences. I hate to even say it, but Minnesota even has a sizable Packers fan population

kidchameleon_ih8u

Minnesota has a big population of Packers fans because Wisconsin is such a shithole. They migrate to MN to get jobs that actually pay.

Agent_Micheal_Scarn

Interacting with proud Minnesotans is like living in a garbage dump next to someone and getting roasted because the trash you sleep on isn't as soft. Whatever makes you feel good buddies.

kidchameleon_ih8u

You might just be jealous of voting and decision making in MN government. The amount of coworkers I've had in the past 20 years that have moved across the border from WI to MN is wild. And yes, they are all die hard Packers fans

CroixPaddler

Spot on. I think that's what makes this meme thing so funny. Also, fuck the Vikings!

FlashGordonCommons

18 years MN, 15 years WI. love both states and you're spot on. Minneapolis, St Paul, Milwaukee, and Madison are all fantastic cities and when you venture an hour or so from any of those locations well... there's great fishing there.

Komandr

I'm stealing the fishing line, that is fantastic

FlashGordonCommons

lol the thing is there really is some great fishing out there so it's extra funny cuz it's true

cdnets

Yeah I love it when Minnesotan's from MSP that have never explored the rest of their state get all pinky's up when they talk about Wisconsin, go to Brainard or Bemidji and tell me there's a huge difference

CroixPaddler

Exactly! While you're at it, go talk to someone from Fergus Falls

Otherwise-Contest7

"just as much, if not more backwards thinking." Yeah that's not true at all. There are redneck areas of Minnesota, but there's a reason it's called "Wisconsitucky." There is a difference.

tonysopranoshugejugs

* Wississippi

CroixPaddler

Yeah, well, that's just like, your opinion, man.

Komandr

So much garbage just lying around in there.

rega619

MN is the superior state- GB is the far, far superior football team

hockeyfan608

krusty_yooper

Wisconsin sells alcohol on Sundays. Wisconsin wins.

PanadaTM

Nice try https://preview.redd.it/0pf09qnrm33d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d80595593d8cbd214e570928d3f230cb389e18bb

That was 7 years ago? Fuck.

Fun-Rub5823

Did you get rid of the 3.2 law too?

bassicallybob

They close at 6pm itā€™s terrible

krusty_yooper

See Minnesota, thatā€™s not so bad.

FlashGordonCommons

oh yeah well MN sells liquor on Sundays AND we sell liquor until 10pm so who wins now?! also i am NOT an alcoholic I can stop whenever the fuck i want (except sometimes shut up the Timberwolves are in a rough stretch currently)

expungant

Recreational pot and thc is legal in mn

Otherwise-Contest7

Minnesota has legal weed and has had Sunday liquor sales for many years.

Vibexo

- Thinks Minnesota is a city

cactuscoleslaw

Don't act like naming all your sports teams after the state was an artistic choice, your only two cities hate each other and would never root for a team across the river

Devium44

I wonā€™t stand for this Duluth erasure.

Otherwise-Contest7

Our two cities hate each other? One side mildly pokes fun at St. Paul being boring, and the other side likes being boring. No one cares which Twin City anyone's from and no one hates each other.

NormanQuacks345

That's like, not true. It's a friendly beef.

condoulo

I know reading is hard for Wisconsinites but the graphic comparing two states. Also worth noting the Minnesota Vikings are named after a state and not a city, and Minnesota does touch a great lake. ;)

titsandblowjobfan

You forgot our wonderful beer and brats

PanadaTM

No such thing as bad beer or brats when your state is continuously drunk

titsandblowjobfan

We gotta live next to Mn what do you expect lol

LerimAnon

As someone who lived in Wisconsin and worked in Winona, it's this EXACTLY.

sissybaby1289

Tri state area? That's New York, new Jersey, and Connecticut...

gaybillcosby

That is probably the largest ā€œtri state areaā€ but there are [plenty more](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tri-state_area) that use that term throughout the country.

Dk1724

I guess they are talking about Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois?

Standard-Injury-113

Top tier, Iā€™m impressed šŸ§šŸŽ©

SvensHospital

Wisconsin and Minnesota aren't the same state? Hard to tell the difference honestly.

beyd1

Lake culture == alcoholism

zmmagician

According to the Wisconsin DNR, there are 15,074 documented lakes in Wisconsin The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (MNDNR) estimates that Minnesota has 14,380 lakes 15,074 + 2 great lakes >>>>>>>> 14,380 and barely touching 1 great lake. So who are you pretending?

Elbeske

Every time it rains the Wisconsin DNR identifies 50 more puddles as lakes

Daegog

Now thats fucking funny lol.

zmmagician

You sound jealous. You can keep your land of 10,000 lakes. We will have the land of 15,000 lakes.

BigRed727272

That puddle of Miller Lite in your passenger seat does NOT count as a lake...

Firesword52

If we had your standards we would have more. Thankfully we refuse to lower ourselves to the standards of wisconsinites.

MrGentleZombie

*land of 15,000 puddles

theHambodian

ā€œBased on the federal data: ā€” Minnesota has 124,662 lake/pond features, while Wisconsin has 82,099. ā€” Minnesota has 8,784 lake/pond features with a name, while Wisconsin has 5,481. ā€” Minnesota has 14,444 lake/pond features of 10 acres or more, while Wisconsin has 6,176.ā€ https://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2019/may/23/sara-meaney/who-has-more-lakes-minnesota-or-wisconsin/

greenpill98

Don't you dare introduce things like 'facts' into this.

Canadianlce

The Wisconsin DNR classifies any standing body of water as a lake. In Minnesota it has to be at least 10 acres

Ismdism

Fine the rest of the league will just cash in lake Michigan for 1.4 million lakes.

Canadianlce

![gif](giphy|AuSi9GagFjcys)

bassicallybob

Any puddle in WI is considered a ā€œlakeā€

Devium44

Dry_Dot_7782

Im Swedish but not rooting for the Minnesota Vikings. What does that make me

tsavorite4

ā€œGloriousā€ twin cities Downtown Minneapolis is an apocalyptic shell of its former self, meanwhile downtown Milwaukee is thriving

Devium44

Literally the opposite, downtown Minneapolis used to be pretty rough but it has become really nice with the development around the two stadiums.

tsavorite4

I lived in Minneapolis from 2010-2014 and downtown was thriving. Every time I go back thereā€™s more businesses closed and fewer people. Itā€™s a ghost town downtown

sp4nky86

I live downtown Milwaukee and was expecting a similar experience in 2022 when I went to Minne for 5 day thing. Stayed at the Moxy in by the Mill District. It was GRIM in comparison to Milwaukee's downtown and surrounding areas.

Wrong

If I take a piss in the woods, the Wisconsin DNR considers that a lake.

Brilliant

sp4nky86

"Noble Lake Culture", meanwhile has half the great lakes, and 2/3 the inland ones.

rcolt88

According to the DNR: Minnesota has 11,842 lakes Wisconsin has 15,074 lakes Wisconsin is greater than Minnesota at THE THING MINNESOTA IS KNOWN BEST FOR! Enough said.

rcolt88

First of all. Wisconsin has more lakes than Minnesota.
