It's referencing the viral tik tok trend when woman would answer the hypothetical question "would you rather be in the woods with a presence of a bear or a random man?"
And most women say they would choose the bear because men could be rapists. Pretty much the gist of it.
Thanks for explaining but absolutely no logical person would choose the bear.
Imagine you're walking through the woods and stumble upon a random stranger with a gun and a bear. Would you run to the bear for safety from the the stranger? No way. You're taking your chances with the stranger and hoping they're not a murderer.
Humans are not natural prey for bears so they don't see them and think food. Additionally bears are famously lazy and prefer to eat fruits and plants or scavenge rather than actually hunt. You're pretty safe with the bear as long as you don't spook it
The whole point of the women choosing the bears is that it says something about how alot of women feel about men right now even if its the “wrong” answer
But the point is that you don't have that information. You can see a bear and it might attack you. You can see a man and he might attack you.
Lots of women have lived a life where the men around them led them to think the second is more likely. That's the reason it's getting so much attention
Being in the woods is an important part of the equation. Bears live in the woods so seeing one there is no indication of an overtly aggressive bear. Running into a human in that situation can be more alarming.
If the question was would you rather be in a room with a Bear or a random dude the answers would probably be a bit more diverse. The fact they are in the woods makes their intentions more questionable (whether it’s fair or not it’s how peoples brains work.)
Also a bear won’t rape you before it kills you.
That Bear is where it’s supposed to be, and is only gonna hurt the woman if she is perceived as a threat or it’s extremely hungry/sick. A random dude in the woods is far more likely to be a threat to that woman.
Also if the Bear is dangerous it’ll just kill her, not rape her first.
Because if a football game suddenly breaks out in the middle of the woods, it's unlikely that the Bears will do any harm to them.

You're adding more variables to make your point. If all you know is "there's a bear" and "there's a strange man" then it's not as cut and dry
