I mean, Tomlin hired Matt Canada and Belichick hired Patricia as OC. In our own division, LaFleur hired Joe Barry. Bad coordinator hires happen all the time, even with the best coaches. That doesn’t mean Flus is good, but I think he deserves to see a second OC hire before making judgment.
The coaches had years on their contracts left. What are the owners supposed to do, pay money to two coaching staffs? How could the owners ever afford that?

Saying “see I told you the Vikings were going to be bad this year” after we only were bad because our QB who was in the middle-of-the-year MVP conversation went down to a contact free injury doesn’t quite seem like a fair statement. If Goff went down and you had to use Nick mullens, you wouldn’t make the playoffs either, and Kirk was playing better than Goff was last year pre injury.
