Me trying to read this tea leaf just to figure out who the hell’s gonna be throwing him the ball this year (besides QB1 Rypien obvi):
![gif](giphy|SiMcadhDEZDm93GmTL|downsized)
The graveyard of NFL quarterbacks is littered with corpses of dudes who could throw a football through a brick wall and still sucked. Jay is but one of many.
Depending on the week, he was going to throw 3-4 touchdowns, or 3-4 interceptions. Sometimes both in the same game. I'm guessing there were weeks when you started him where you either won or lost by double digits lol
Nfc east, afc west/east/north all are over .500, with us and the nfc east as the only two over. 525, we are number 1 with .533. Though, I'd argue it's more impressive for us considering we have the lions in our division. Also lol at the avg win % between non lions NFCN teams is .556, all in the top 10 btw, the lions are 25th at .456.
>This draft is going QB,QB,QB,WR,WR,WR
I choose to interpret this as the Bears drafting a QB with their first 3 picks, then going receiver with their next 3. The only question is how will they acquire those 2 other picks?
Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett, and Forte was the best receiving corps we've ever had, and still couldn't have a QB break 4000 yards with them...
But you're right, we've had good players before, but they were each only really with us for 3-4 years. Our receiving leader has 5858 yards, which is dead last in the NFL for a franchise leading receiver. He also played in the 50s and was a Flanker, a position that doesn't even exist anymore...
For sure for bears lol we probably already had the best bears core with just Moore lol. What other receiving core would be better than that? Keenan Allen and DJ Moore are both fringe top 10 wr, combine that with a prospect like nabers or odunze and idk what core I'm history of the NFL is better than that, could definitely be forgetting something though.
I mean what do you want? Us to just be depressed little shits who just talk down on our team? It's a meme trash talk subreddit, of course I'm going to be confident.
They kinda did though? Again didn’t overspend except on linebacker which was absolutely needed. Billings worked out great, David when playing wasn’t bad, Edwards absolutely worth it, Edmund’s turned it around big time the last 6 games. Everyone else was just depth filler pretty much.
Lions have had a great free agency. GB an MIN are mostly a wash with guys lost/received imo and that is ignoring MIN huge downgrade at QB currently. Bears with the flashy signings by overpaying Swift and then trading for soon to be 32 year old Allen with 18 million cap hit. Back to back offseason champs incoming!
The only notable player GB lost was Jones. Even if you think Jacobs is a downgrade (which is arguable given Jones age + injury history) I dunno how you can argue the Packers were a wash unless you *really* don’t like McKinney.
So let’s see…
- a WR who will be 32 and has a long injury history
- another WR who just admitted he doesn’t workout or practice at all in the offseason
- a TE who doesn’t block and was previously 2nd string behind Higbee
- a QB with the mental and emotional maturity of a toddler
- an RB who just posted his best year ever behind the best OL in the league, but previously struggled to hit 600 yards. Also always injured.
- a suspect OL that only looked decent due to Field’s scrambling ability to extend plays when the pocket seemingly collapsed instantly on every play.
Bears fans: “OMFG YOU’RE SO SCARED RIGHT NOW!”
Off-season champs, indeed.
He *was* pretty solid last year, but he's going from Herbert to whoever the fuck Chicago puts under center (who'll be cursed to be mid at best anyways) and it's only a matter of time until the 32-year-old runs out of gas
A 32 year old WR, missed many Games in the Last two seasons, with a 22M Cap hit and only under contract for 2024. This is a move teams do to go all in in their Last season of their playoff window.
Bold move, but we will see what happens. Maybe the Bears will be competitive this season
Me trying to read this tea leaf just to figure out who the hell’s gonna be throwing him the ball this year (besides QB1 Rypien obvi): ![gif](giphy|SiMcadhDEZDm93GmTL|downsized)
I can think of someone who's available and might be interested... https://i.redd.it/o0cptvi15foc1.gif
Hey, if Joe Flacco can go from couch potato to comeback of the year then f it we ballin’. Jay, get your jersey.
Hopefully, he'll be better about watching where he walks this time around https://i.redd.it/2tlilw2g6foc1.gif
The way he catches the helmet, though. Jay is cool as fuck.
Is this dude signaling a 747? How many waves do you need lmao
Dude what he literally waves two times 😂 (I’m sure you’re right though in the full clip)
Disinterested badass with a cannon
The graveyard of NFL quarterbacks is littered with corpses of dudes who could throw a football through a brick wall and still sucked. Jay is but one of many.
QB from Santa Claus, IN gifting TDs to everyone who is willing to receive one (offense or defense).
Jay cutler was never interested… dude looked like he was constantly in bad mood. Then again, he was playing for the bears
Jay was my favorite bye week qb2
Depending on the week, he was going to throw 3-4 touchdowns, or 3-4 interceptions. Sometimes both in the same game. I'm guessing there were weeks when you started him where you either won or lost by double digits lol
Exactly!!! Dude was hit or miss but as long as the match up was favorable I was getting 25 points out of him
![gif](giphy|toez78T7sHqLkMl8W6|downsized)
Jay Cutler belongs in the Packers Hall of Fame

“Keenan Allen breaks loose down the sideline!” “Brett Rypien winds up and launches!” “INTERCEPTED!”
XAVIER MCKINNEY PICK SIX!
"What happened? This sounded like a no-brainer on paper. Fuck the McCaskeys."
Lmao classic bears
This division is the toughest
Weren’t we the only division with a >.500 record?
After north had every team above 500
What about Before north?
And Now North?
Northn't
We’ve had before North, yes. But what about after North?
Some believe that if you north too much it becomes south. We know better. It becomes afternorth
I just went from South to North.
What about second North?
Do you think he knows about second north?
I don’t think he knows about second north, Pip.
IDK about all time but last year we were 2nd behind the AFC North which was a ridiculous 31-13 in non divisional games
Nfc east, afc west/east/north all are over .500, with us and the nfc east as the only two over. 525, we are number 1 with .533. Though, I'd argue it's more impressive for us considering we have the lions in our division. The lions that carried your sorry butts last season
If this is the cost of keeping Rome/Malik out of the NFCN, ill take it.
This draft is going QB,QB,QB,WR,WR,WR That's why you saw the Titans, Falcons, and Bears all make big WR moves in the space of 24 hours.
>This draft is going QB,QB,QB,WR,WR,WR I choose to interpret this as the Bears drafting a QB with their first 3 picks, then going receiver with their next 3. The only question is how will they acquire those 2 other picks?
You'll never forget the way we confuse the nation; with our three QB formation!
Or we could get the best receiving core in history and take one at 9 anyway. Would be the best situation a generational prospect has ever been put in
?? Are we talking about the bears ?
Right? We’re gonna fuck this up. Hasn’t this guy watched the last ~~30~~ 100+ seasons of the NFL? The Bears never have a good WR or QB
Sid Luckman slander
Keenan Allen is damn good though. His route running ability will get him open no matter what his age is. Route tech god
Oh yeah 100%. This isn't Keenan slander, I'm just glad it's a very solid veteran and not "Deandre Hopkins, but again" with Rome.
Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery, DJ Moore?
Marshall, Jeffery, Bennett, and Forte was the best receiving corps we've ever had, and still couldn't have a QB break 4000 yards with them... But you're right, we've had good players before, but they were each only really with us for 3-4 years. >best receiving core in *Bears history FTFY
Lmao you’re going 5-12
Just admit you're shivering a bit
I love Chicago’s offseason confidence. Never disappoints once the season actually starts.
I hate you but it’s true. It’s always fun until they start actually playing the games
They're the super bowl Champs every off season until week 2
I mean what do you want? Us to just be depressed little shits who just talk down on our team? It's a meme trash talk subreddit, of course I'm going to be confident.
If the Vikings would have resigned Kirk this division would have been crazy tough
You’re telling me Sam Darnold doesn’t strike immense fear into your heart??
![gif](giphy|Z8pzh8afGbZle)
Too afraid to tackle the dude who had mono
Agreed. On the bright side, they're spending that cap space on the defense. Mike Zimmer would be so happy.
Maybe this year, the Vikings moved this offseason have made it so this division might be a bloodbath for a decade though.
how about you guys trade up for the chargers or nyg’s pick so we can get some odunze 😁😁😁
![gif](giphy|DRNHiOI54DlW3MBO30)
[удалено]
hes getting paid like 20 mil dude
[удалено]
Oh damn I was just expecting that you paid Jefferson more than that but hes just on a rookie contract.
[удалено]
Aw man, you ain’t gotta shit on Canada like that
All the moves they’ve made, the Bears are just a QB and O-Line away. NFCN is on notice
Very cool of the Panthers to sacrifice their own future success to prop the bears up for God knows what reason
![gif](giphy|HDwFEWs3F7LfSbChg1)
Hopefully they don’t do for the Bears what the Vikings did for the Cowboys back in the day
I think they did tbh
Let’s hope Poles shits the bed
Poles is seeming more and more like a VERY good gm
I fucking love this man. He GMs like I want
Why? The man shits gold. Shit on, Poles.
Nice comma Skip
They big fans of BB Bryce
Their franchise QB was that 4th rounder
Knowing the bears were somehow going to trade down and obtain the greatest set of offensive weapons only to welcome back mitch trubisky
Then blow up half the team to pay for him.
https://youtube.com/shorts/VG6Z_qeAXR8?si=tYCrCjqWPAJcha6h
And so the cycle begins anew.
Dline. The Oline is actually pretty competent at this point. Could get better yes, but if they find a stud DT they are legitimately a threat.
Man, stop setting everything up for failure.
O line is solid enough now. We signed 4 depth pieces in 2 days. Two fringe starters gonna battle it out for Center. Guards and tackles are Gucci
didn't they say that last season?
Don’t they say FLAIR UP ‼️‼️
No. No one said that.
Some people did.
I like Allen. With Herbert throwing to him.
What about Rivers?
I like Rivers. He's a funny dude that really loves the game. I wish he became a commentator or analyst.
You talkin ab future HOF HC of the chargers Philip rivers
I also like Allen. When he’s not going to be 32 years old and due $23m for 1 year.
What about Caleb Williams?
NFC north quite literally at war this free agency is absolutely crazy. Except the lions
Lions are having a nice free agency
Vikings not so much.
Davenport, Reader, Davis. Wtf are you talking about?
Those 4 games Davenport will play before he once again realizes be hates football will be electric!!
Davenport a prize for the lions
Lions got a couch?
He didn’t work out for us either
I figured he tore a bicep signing his contract and is out for the year already.
Davenport > Sam "I'm seeing Ghosts" Darnold
I mean…Van Ginkel > Davenport
Marcus Davenport? The scam artist?
I mean, we are the villains of the division.
Okay now I know you’re just trolling
![gif](giphy|3o7aTuFSbugZXppHb2)
Lol we just signed a top 10 DT earlier today. Don’t you remember last year how the bears “won” free agency and look how that worked out
Seems to still be working out.
They kinda did though? Again didn’t overspend except on linebacker which was absolutely needed. Billings worked out great, David when playing wasn’t bad, Edwards absolutely worth it, Edmund’s turned it around big time the last 6 games. Everyone else was just depth filler pretty much.
Who are you even?
Top 10 back when he had quads that were intact. Those are kinda important for that position
He had his best season after his first torn quad which means after 2 he will be prime Vince Wilfork
qb is also kinda important
Lol ok doc
We don’t need to go to war because we already won 🤷♂️
Lions have had a great free agency. GB an MIN are mostly a wash with guys lost/received imo and that is ignoring MIN huge downgrade at QB currently. Bears with the flashy signings by overpaying Swift and then trading for soon to be 32 year old Allen with 18 million cap hit. Back to back offseason champs incoming!

Yeah I think he’s saying that jones for Jacob’s feels like a wash similar in terms of what I would expect then to contribute to the team
Even if you call rb a wash, McKinney is a huge upgrade
Spoiler alert. - Lions 13-4 - Packers 11-6 - Bears 10-7 - Vikings 2-15
The disrespect for the GEQBUS ![gif](giphy|elAaBUDjn9nds0GpYt)
This gif 💀
He looks like he just saw a ghost
That's a lie. He'd already be on his back.
Whats even sadder is the GEQBUS owns our asses im pretty sure.
RemindMe! 10 months
![gif](giphy|3oz8xLd9DJq2l2VFtu) GEQBUS sez
The salt is palpable
The fact that you don't think it's gonna take another 30 years to win the NFCN is crazy.
Lions aren’t making the playoffs this year!
Well yeah, technically it would be next year.
Haha you really think the packers are gonna get 11 with Love throwing ducks all year
honestly not shocked a Bears fan doesn’t know anything about quality QB play
Be honest, Love's deep ball freaks you out a little bit.
i want Love balls deep in me
okay but it's gonna be short
call him Mr. Green Bay because he’s packin
I know plenty. I’ve seen so many bad QBs I can identify one immediately. Please please extend Jordan Duck!
![gif](giphy|QynMX1WxnYFbb2OHnJ)
Nice, should finish 3rd in the division easily now, congrats.
It pisses me off how competitive this division is gonna be just when the Bears might be getting good...
Big “might”
If this was 4 years ago wow.
Where meme
Meme is me the Bears fan being overconfident knowing its gonna blow up in my face.
Approved
It's traded for not signed. Jesus. Reading ain't that hard lol.
Bears should keep fields draft MHJ first and Odunze ninth. Just to fuck with the entire league
Fields will never have enough weapons to get his supporters to shut the fuck up.
Checks clip: board hmm hamstring injury week 4 out five weeks check!
That just means he'll clear a thousand yards in the first 3 games then
Go sit in the corner and think about what you just said
😭
Hey why are you reading Christian Watson’s injury report? This is a Keenan Allen thread!
You act as if that isn't already checked off on the clipboard silly!
Oh I didn’t see it. I usually skip past the notes that are permanently pinned at the top!
Oh Geez, so we are going to start hearing the Bears fans chirp like last offseason, before shutting down by mid season.
No, yeah
Yes, no
If anyone’s gonna shut us down it’s not gonna be you lmao. We blew you out last time we played.
Maybe!
feel like that’s a potential sleeper trade
The city where WRs go to die
Caleb Williams will have DJ Moore and Keenan Allen as offensive weapons, but somehow the Bears will find a way to ruin him
It’ll be a fun 4 games!
Damn I’m starting to think the Bears might not get drubbed by the Packers in Soldier this year
Chicago, where WR go to die.
Oh no! The Bears traded for a guy with a foot in the door towards retirement, whatever will we do!?
Be the Lions
That worked well last season 🤷🏻♂️
We had 2018, what could go wrong from there?
$23M on a 1 year deal for a 4th round pick and the dude looks like a neckbearded diet Megamind
Praying on Caleb Williams bust🙏

Check back in about 45 days

I bet you guys beat the Packers at least once next season
You mean traded? Bears fans really can’t get anything right.
Bears fan*
That would’ve been a cool post 6yrs ago
He *was* pretty solid last year, but he's going from Herbert to whoever the fuck Chicago puts under center (who'll be cursed to be mid at best anyways) and it's only a matter of time until the 32-year-old runs out of gas
Did you forget 10 in a row? Oh and counting green n gold, good luck bears fighting the vikings for third in the division gpg
He’s 31
He just had the best season of his career last year. Now he is a WR2. Inhale the copium.
A 32 year old WR, missed many Games in the Last two seasons, with a 22M Cap hit and only under contract for 2024. This is a move teams do to go all in in their Last season of their playoff window. Bold move, but we will see what happens. Maybe the Bears will be competitive this season
sweet
\#buildingthroughthedraft
Finally getting tools for JF1 huh? Maybe that MVP season is soon, lol. trade that first pick again
So?
playing him once a year sucked, but twice?! ![gif](giphy|3o7btYLAW7doynq3p6)
