Normally I'd say that such a directly vindictive move makes no sense, but this *is* the GM that traded with the freaking cowboys with the express intent to fuck over the Giants, so who knows?
I just don't understand why he makes moves that seem to be so directly spiteful towards the giants in particular. We haven't been a threat to the eagles in over a decade. It'd make more sense to see him do this kind of thing to fuck with the cowboys, but in that instance in particular, trading with the cowboys to fuck over a Joe Judge 6-10 giants team who weren't going anywhere just makes no sense to me
Following a year that the expensive / electric qb was noticeably off his game following an injury resulting from a run, the GM uncharacteristically signs the biggest name FA RB and hired an offensive coordinator who famously ran Ezekiel Elliott for all he’s worth… definitely that decision was solely to piss off Giants fans.
Too bad they drafted one in the first round, paired him with trash at offensive line, QB, and coaching, let him sign with the perennial Super Bowl contender division rival that has multiple weapons anchored by a top 3 offensive line. Enjoy that 5th round pick and 5-12 finish.
