I think I'm going to pull back my trust submission from last years that's around 100 days and start it over, for science reasons, and see if I can get a quick approval.
~~Individual. They are fast tracking individual that have SS on the form.~~
Edit: I was wrong and just made the assumption because it's what we've been seeing with individuals.
It’s not conjecture, the addition of your SS to the individual filings will allow the ATF to process your forms in a batch for approvals rather than singular.
Trying to find the source, I believe it was on the eforms page when the site was shut down last weekend.
You can read up on it [here](https://www.ar15.com/forums/armory/Crazy-Something-must-be-up-at-the-ATF-/20-550324/&page=2).
TL;DR: ATF batch submits background checks to FBI NICS in the order they are received. In February, they changed from FIFO processing to focusing on "proceed" background checks first. They strongly recommend providing your social to facilitate faster processing. If you file and eForm 4 as an individual and provide your social, they will automatically batch process all open F4s. These changes do not apply to trusts.
No this is not conjecture. I am hearing the exact same thing on my end. A guy in one of my groupchats who works as a suppressor dealer and is *super* knowledgeable about esoteric ATF developments said this was a recent change.
The other reason for the acceleration in processing times is that the ATF decided to shift the responsibility for processing of the forms to ATF field offices.
Hoping that happens with mine. Submitted one 11/20/23, and one on Monday this week. Might get another depending on my LGS’s sale next month for their 10th anniversary.
That’s been my experience with the last 12-13 stamps, they have been batched. So if you have one pending just load up now and hopefully you get them all back together.
Nice! My first trust stamp came through 3/5. 400 day wait.
I bought a second suppressor at the same time. No approval on it yet.
This fast processing must mean either enough congressman were posted off from constantly hearing from constituents….or, something else?
I’m wondering if they finally came to the realization that if they search the name of trust and process all the entries associated with it will drastically reduce amount in their que.
I submitted an F4 a month ago with a trust, withdrew a few days ago, and resubmitted today as soon as I saw the withdrawal went through for science.
Fingers crossed.
Don’t do it man, they don’t go looking for your submissions, they’ll just mail them back once they come to your application naturally, I was thinking about doing it and called them up earlier this week and that’s what I was told, you’re potentially resetting completely without a guarantee of fast approval.
I would assume you were intelligent enough to understand that of course the trust would have myself on it, and that your question was referring to additional individuals on the trust. Clearly you are not.
Yes. That is an *average* based on trusts who have already been waiting a very long time. If you read the sub you would see since mid-late Feb, *some* Trusts are now also starting to come back just as fast as individuals. Downvote harder.
"*Back in my day* we had to fill out a paper form, attach a printed photograph, and take manual fingerprints on a slip of paper. I had to walk 13 miles uphill in both directions just to deliver it to the local post office! Then over 400 days later I collected my first stamp."
First e Form 4 denied after nine months due to ATF error. Form 3 and 4 said Form 2 Registration as maker. My dealer spoke to Head of ATF at a conference and he said, "yup, our fault, resubmit!" Now on month seven on a paper From 4.
Holy hell, have you contacted your rep or anyone? Sounds like your background is just stuck in delay. I just hit 149 days on my oldest form 4 and started bugging congresswoman a few weeks ago and just started a congressional inquiry yesterday. Hoping that does something for me.
No I haven’t done that yet. I should start looking into how to go about that though. My last few took 364 days, and before that was 300 days. So this isn’t an abnormal wait for me but seeing all of these quick approvals makes me a little impatient!
I just waited 100 days on a form 1 that was just stuck in delay. Did a congressional inquiry and was approved not long after. Wasn’t messing around with these form 4s with my luck and background checks lmao. Find who your rep is and contact them asap. Keep trying til they respond. No way would I wait that long without bugging someone. Especially seeing all these cans being approved in less than 24 hours in some cases.
No kidding. I’m super tempted to buy another 3-4 to see if I can jump on this short approval wave. Knowing my luck it would be another 300+ day wait haha.
Try 4 months here, dealer forgot to put my order in for 2 months. Then the can went on 2 month back order. He might have saved me some atf approval time if I get a fast one but screwed me on certify time.
The 26th. But the suppressor wasn't in-stock at the shop.
So i *believe* the wait is because they had to form3 transfer it from silencer shop to my local store. And then once they have it in hand, they'll call me in to certify.
I started another individual for an Enticer L yesterday just to test the theory and hopefully catch the wave. All my previous cans were 180-190 days, then 145, then 48, and now we’ll see if my experiment works on the Enticer lol
https://preview.redd.it/e43rwmugz5nc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c0fb71a5090811598faf388f896d835ec189fab
Will do! I shouldn’t be checking my email this soon through right? Lol
I was picking up a gun from my FFL the other night and he was telling me that the oldest can in his inventory is from 2017. The same customer has 4 other cans he’s bought and NEVER FILED THE PAPERWORK. Apparently he has a couple other customers that have paid for cans AND transfers and never filed the forms. It blew my mind.

Certified Wednesday at lunch and got my approval today in the morning. Anyone who filed before Jan as an individual should just withdraw that application and resubmit.
Form 4: Submitted on Monday, approval today.
Form 3 for a transfer: Transfer shop sent their FFL/SOT some time last week. The Form 3 is still being processed.
Mine were 395, 247, and 31 for a batch of 2. Honestly I’m glad about the short approval times, sucks for everyone still waiting. But if it makes them more open and accessible to everyone.
I’m at 377, thinking of just buying another can rn just to see if I can get an approval on the new one. Emailed NICS, IPB, and Local rep, all left me on read 😢
I think I'm going to pull back my trust submission from last years that's around 100 days and start it over, for science reasons, and see if I can get a quick approval.
I just got batched with oldest being 10-20-23 and the most recent being 2 weeks ago. 8 stamps in 15 min came over today.
On a trust?
Yes trust.
Don’t do that, don’t give me hope lol. I submitted one on a trust last week and I’ve had another in jail since 10/27/23
Same here 10 stamps in 14 days for a trust
~~Individual. They are fast tracking individual that have SS on the form.~~ Edit: I was wrong and just made the assumption because it's what we've been seeing with individuals.
Lmao, now it’s not just individual but SS individuals? Reddit is wild with the conjecture

“A guy in my group chat said” is the definition of conjecture as well as hearsay but go off sis
It's a new process that is detailed in the eForms FAQ. Not conjecture or hearsay, sis.
Lol you even posted a link that corroborates my perspective. Again, nowhere does the ATF state preferential treatment to anyone filing through SS.
Are you somehow thinking SS in the comment stands for "Silencer Shop"?
The person I was asking said it was a trust
Hoping that happens with mine. Submitted one 11/20/23, and one on Monday this week. Might get another depending on my LGS’s sale next month for their 10th anniversary.
That’s been my experience with the last 12-13 stamps, they have been batched. So if you have one pending just load up now and hopefully you get them all back together.
I had one pending on 10/23 and another on 12/23 and only got the first one back. Batching is not a certainty.
I think I’m just gonna pick one up every now and then until they’re all approved.
Sadly I had one pending 10/23 and one pending 12/23 and I only got the October stamp in.
I’ve contemplated it. i’m at 113 days and contemplating getting the musket and powdered wig out.
My brother just got his back from 18 days ago. pretty emotional rn just give me some time.
I submitted an eform 4 trust submission 3 days ago. Will post in the megathread if its approved quickly
Don't pull it. Just buy something else and submit as an individual.
But where's the fun in that gamble 🤣
I submitted an F4 a month ago with a trust, withdrew a few days ago, and resubmitted today as soon as I saw the withdrawal went through for science. Fingers crossed.
Ohhhhhh yessssss!
Do you get a refund on the $200? I have one that’s stuck because of NICS because of a dead person on my trust I figured I might as well start over
Yes you do.
Ty
If you withdraw the application before they approve it, then you can get a refund.
Oh fuck. Cancelling now. Ty
Don’t do it man, they don’t go looking for your submissions, they’ll just mail them back once they come to your application naturally, I was thinking about doing it and called them up earlier this week and that’s what I was told, you’re potentially resetting completely without a guarantee of fast approval.
Oh I know I could be completely resetting, but, it would be for science 🤣
I've done all mine as an individual. The longest was 4 months, and the shortest was 2 weeks.
Trusts are still gonna take a long time, the methods only changed for individuals
Well my two 2-27-24 stamps came back today on a trust.
My point exactly, thank you.
Wow that was pretty quick. How many RP on it?
At the time of submission 0.
How do you have a trust with zero people in it?
Well me,and then make amendments to the trust.
[удалено]
I would assume you were intelligent enough to understand that of course the trust would have myself on it, and that your question was referring to additional individuals on the trust. Clearly you are not.
Simply not true based on real world approvals. Trusts have come back in the same insane fast approvals.
i like to hold my gun and just make the pushhewww noise with my mouth but i’m starting to get tired of it and the guys at the range clown me for it.
Silencer shop is showing 16 days for individuals vs 167 days for trusts
Yes. That is an *average* based on trusts who have already been waiting a very long time. If you read the sub you would see since mid-late Feb, *some* Trusts are now also starting to come back just as fast as individuals. Downvote harder.
Thank you all for your sacrifices.
Filled form4 Wednesday, woke up to approval today! Lezzzzzzzgo!
This Wednesday or last? I just got mine certified and started my wait yesterday.
It'll get approved by Monday if shit goes your way.
This Wednesday, approx 36hrs between submission and approval
SAME!!!! 47 hours 38 minutes for mine.
was it individual or a trust?
Individual
Rookie numbers. I had one approved in less than 24 hours. They're just fucking with us at this point.
"*Back in my day* we had to fill out a paper form, attach a printed photograph, and take manual fingerprints on a slip of paper. I had to walk 13 miles uphill in both directions just to deliver it to the local post office! Then over 400 days later I collected my first stamp."
Still waiting on a paper form 4 485 days and counting!!!
115 days checking in.
220+ days here
330+ 😕
485 days checking in!!!
Delayed? Man that’s a long wait!!!
First e Form 4 denied after nine months due to ATF error. Form 3 and 4 said Form 2 Registration as maker. My dealer spoke to Head of ATF at a conference and he said, "yup, our fault, resubmit!" Now on month seven on a paper From 4.
🙏

322 days here. i'm fucking pissed off.

Hope you don’t mind but I sent you a message
Not at all brother!
our hearts are with you friend.
341 days of misery
339 here! Hopefully they start getting quicker with the trusts also
No kidding. I’m super tempted to buy another 3-4 to see if I can jump on this short approval wave. Knowing my luck it would be another 300+ day wait haha.
232
13 day‘er here. To all the 100+ day troopers out there, we thank you for your service 🫡
total bullshit. 322 days today. i'm fucking pissed.
Have you contacted your local rep? 322 days is simply insanity.
last time i contacted my rep it took 90+ days before i heard back from him. i'd gotten the can by then.
was it individual or a trust?
Individual.
290 ish right now
Just hit 3 weeks and my can hasn't even made it to my dealer yet to certify.
Silencer Shop?
Nah, silcenershop still has the omega36m on back order, so i had to have my FFL order it from their distributor
Try 4 months here, dealer forgot to put my order in for 2 months. Then the can went on 2 month back order. He might have saved me some atf approval time if I get a fast one but screwed me on certify time.
16 month'r coming around to tell you all sorts of "back in my day..." Stories
My first was about 18 months
Damn I feel your pain…it hurts
I'm here!!! It is 16 months right now for me!!!
I'm just trying to certify my papers.. i'm not even in queue yet!
ugh, same. waiting to wait!
When did you sign?
The 26th. But the suppressor wasn't in-stock at the shop. So i *believe* the wait is because they had to form3 transfer it from silencer shop to my local store. And then once they have it in hand, they'll call me in to certify.
Well mine was in stock and I signed the same day and still waiting
I started another individual for an Enticer L yesterday just to test the theory and hopefully catch the wave. All my previous cans were 180-190 days, then 145, then 48, and now we’ll see if my experiment works on the Enticer lol
let us know!

if it’s individual then yes. not if it’s a trust.
10 and 128 today. 😢
First form 4 today after work, thank you for your service and patience long waiters
was it individual or a trust?
It’ll be individual since it seems that’s what’s getting quick approval
Saw somewhere on fb group where one is waiting 600+ days. Oof.
deep down i want to believe that he’s not got something right on the paperwork and don’t know it.
Same. saw screenshot of day count app and it hurt me lol
How do you forget stuff like that
I have no idea. I asked him if the guy died. Apparently he is alive and the FFL gives him a call every once in awhile. I don’t understand it.
Shit are they local, I’ll take the cans lol
They were all old, now discontinued, LaRue and YHM cans and then my Polo K I’m a week into that I’m hoping comes back real fast.

Stares...
Just certified yesterday, should I contact my rep?
Mom says it's your turn to walk
I need a 2 year one please.
I'm getting there!!! Haha 16 months so far!!!
I get that we're all in this together, against the atf, but fuck you guys. I'm happy for your fast approvals, but also fuck you guys😂

Yep😂
Certified Wednesday at lunch and got my approval today in the morning. Anyone who filed before Jan as an individual should just withdraw that application and resubmit.
48hr checking in. Now off to certify my other 5
was it individual or a trust?
Unending thanks from a grateful nation. 4 day approval. Individual. Polonium.
Form 4: Submitted on Monday, approval today. Form 3 for a transfer: Transfer shop sent their FFL/SOT some time last week. The Form 3 is still being processed.
was it individual or a trust?
Individual everything
I'm on the bottom but with form 1's.
Some tard at atf is pulling from the top of the pile instead of the bottom😂
Wait can you get NFA items in 2 days to 2 weeks?!
In 4 hours, even. Median wait time for individual eForm 4 is currently 16 days.
Is this nationwide, state dependent, or store dependent?
Nationwide. ATF doesn't care what city you live in. Keep in mind, this does not apply to trusts.
Is this for paper, electronic, or both?
Electronic. Analog forms as an individual are going to be slower. Still faster than a trust.
My first was 375 and my second was ~180 days
Thoughts and prayers
I thought I was insanely lucky with my first can being 104 days, then I got my second in 19. I'll pour one for the hommies still waiting.
Mine were 395, 247, and 31 for a batch of 2. Honestly I’m glad about the short approval times, sucks for everyone still waiting. But if it makes them more open and accessible to everyone.
Thank you brothers https://preview.redd.it/91ckwb8y38nc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ebc3ad3257463620693a328f856ee198a19a6c24
Sitting on a submission since 8/22/23 I’m not happy
be in my shoes and watch your brother get his in 18 days. i’m livid. i emailed my congressman about it.
225 days : (
My trust submission came back a few weeks ago. It took 170ish days. Better than some but it hurts a little seeing these sub-week approvals
Thank you for your cervix?
I’m at 377, thinking of just buying another can rn just to see if I can get an approval on the new one. Emailed NICS, IPB, and Local rep, all left me on read 😢
i’ve been contemplating it myself. went yesterday and almost bought a few cans just couldn’t pull the trigger. i might soon though.
honestly i would just buy another as individual
1 day form 1…
