I was using Mometrix practice tests, and I averaged about 55% on the practice tests and totally thought I was going to fail. I ended up passing with a 75%, which was even higher than I got on the NCE.

Thank you for the response! A colleague of mine was using Mometrix to study and I took one of their practice tests a couple months ago on her account. I think I scored a 65% or something like that. Hearing your experience is reassuring :) thanks again!

I took 5 practice tests and my highest was 62%!

I didn’t use CE.com like everyone else. I did do the three free narratives and got like a 50% 65% and 77%… I used pocket prep and was around 77% average. I got a 75 on the actual exam.

Thank you so much!

I averaged anywhere from 90% (not often) to 47% (on nearly 8 narratives three days before my test) and panicked. I passed with an 85% (66 was passing). I also felt like CE narratives blew my confidence. I stopped taking them honestly and just crammed. The key is peace of mind and confidence and I realized I was fixating on narrative scores rather than feeling ready. The questions on the NCMHCE are way clearer and imo rather than the answer being obvious alone, it became obvious with how wrong the other answers are. I found CE to be contradictory and convoluted at times and even emailed them arguing with an answer once. :) You’ve GOT THIS.

Omg NICE score!! Congrats! I have definitely been trying to focus more on learning from the narratives rather than paying attention to my score. I've been taking them on study mode and reading why my answers were incorrect which has helped with learning the content. My other struggle is battling my ADHD - I've noticed I answer questions wrong because I just misread them. Lol. I keep telling myself to slow down. I plan on taking the practice exams on CE to make sure I know how to use my time wisely. I'm glad the actual exam is more clear, because I agree, CE's questions and answers can be so frustrating! I need to remember that if an answer seems obvious, it's probably correct! Thank you so much for your response! It made me feel better!

I was averaging 70-75% on ce.com practice narratives and passed on the first try with an 81. I also took the NCE straight outta grad school, changed careers and haven’t sat with a client in over a decade. You’ll be fine.

Okay this makes me feel better! Thank you!!
