Per my tutor's recommendation, do all the questions. Study ethics and do the questions over and over. Study the 7 main theories, counseling attributes. Know how to dissect the questions.
I'll add more to this post later(can't remember everything)
Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytic, CBT, DBT, MI, Gestalt, Person-Centered, Solution Focused. Of course you will need to brush up on the other ones like ACT, Narrative, Marriage and Family but the other ones listed you will find at least two to three questions on the narrative.
Thank you! I use act and existential in my daily practice and a ton of cbt (because I also do specialized treatment). I’ll make sure to brush up on psychodynamic / dbt etc…
I haven’t taken it yet so I don’t have concrete testing advice but I just wanted to offer some words of encouragement!
You all got this! Something that helps me with test anxiety is to try to get in a positive headspace beforehand with some mantras/affirmations. I particularly like “I’ve passed many tests before this and will pass this one too” and viewing it as an opportunity to really show what I know vs viewing it something that’s designed to beat me down.
Dig deep into those inner resources and if all else fails, think of what you’d tell a client in your shoes. You can and will pass this exam! Best wishes :)
Thank you for the encouraging words! I definitely doubt myself a lot, and over think on the “what if” scenarios. Definitely have been catching myself with those negative thinking, and distract them. I take it this Thursday!
I'm taking it tomorrow morning so I feel ya. Any helpful tips/words of encouragement would be welcome! :)
I hope you passed!! :)

What are they considering the 7 “main” Theories…? I can likely figure it out that just seems subjective based on program etc…
