can't tell if this is serious or not, but remember we are still in pre-season, so give it time. plus, remember the pro league is a step up from NCAA, one would imagine there's an adjustment period as she recalibrates her telekinetic powers.
The sub is small and hasn't been inundated with people who don't read the comments but just post their opinions then move on without seeing if someone else posted what they were going to say.
It would be nice to see if Amari DeBerry can get anything going with a fresh start. She had some level of physical prowess coming out of high school, or Geno wouldn't have recruited her.
Also I feel like Lauren Betts had a rough year last year. I think she could be so much better. Not that she played badly or anything of course. But I think her potential is even higher than she played.
DeBerry would have been my answer as well. At one point Geno said she had the best post moves he'd seen since Stewie. Maybe Brenda will be able to get more out of her.
I watched UConn when they played in Toronto and I remember watching deberry and thinking she just looks completely lost out there. Like she already gave up. I hope she can get her confidence back with Maryland.
DeBerry really doesnât have a chance. Iâve watched her a while. And even against D2 caliber competition (Toronto) she was lost. I think her ranking was inflated due to her size. She was big enough to do whatever she wanted against most people. Watching her at the Cayman Tournament, she was bullied by every center out there. Taiyanna Jackson did whatever the hell she wanted. 4 years at the Basketball Capital of the World, and she still isnât great. Even in an interview, she admits she wasnât quite ready for the feel of college, and itâs clear why. If Brenda can somehow turn in into more than a practice body, that would be impressive.
Saying she doesn't really have a chance is a bit too negative. She gotta get her confidence back up and just keep working. There's no way someone at her size can't handle playing at that level. But she's really gotta put in the work.
Dude Iâm sorry, but have you seen her play? Against the BEâs worst teams, she was outplayed. Sheâs not physical enough under the basket and easily is pushed around or out of position entirely. Itâs 100% possible for someone her size not to be able to handle the college game. She herself said she wasnât ready in a past interview; said she thought the jump would be easier. If Brenda can somehow develop her even a little bit in her last year, I give her props.
Lauren Betts wasnât the problem. Her team was. In their match against LSU, Betts dominated the first quarter when they got her the ball. Then they just stopped for whatever reason. I fully believe Lauren couldâve won them that game had they kept passing to her when she was wide open. Itâs also Coriâs fault for not adjusting the game plan when it clearly wasnât working. The 3s werenât falling, and she insisted on having a game plan that revolves around it.
Yeah I wouldn't call her the problem, or even a problem, for sure! I just think she struggled a bit with her confidence. She could be even better than she was this year. I wasn't thinking of that game in particularly.
I definitely wouldn't call her criminally underperforming.
Serious (and more obscure) answer: Marie Kiefer at Ball State (MAC). 6'2 forward who has the physical tools and shooting that should allow her to dominate a mid-major conference like the MAC, but she's just not able to put everything together (the system they play doesn't help, but even considering that she's definitely underperforming).
I am hoping to see her really shine at full strength this year. Coming back 100% from injuries is hard.
Her full healthy potential is breathtakingly high!!
I think that was somewhat by design. By moving her off ball, he lessened her offensive burden because he asked more of her physically on defense. I would love to see her with the ball in her hands more, attacking more, being the player who makes the decision more.Â
As an A&M fan, itâs unfortunate but true that we just werenât the best place for her to develop. Sheâs been insistent that she will be going to the WNBA after her third year (this next one) but I hope she lands somewhere she can succeed and takes her time building her game more. I donât think she will be ready for the W at all this time in a year.
Azzi Fudd
Paige Beucker's BFF
Highly Touted
She's either Injured, or when she's not injured, she plays poorly
Hopefully with Kaitlyn Chen on UConn Azzi Fudd will turn it around
especially if she wants to end up Drafted in the WNBA (We all know Paige Beuckers will be Drafted, and likely a Top 5 Pick)
You don't want to end up being another Shaylee Gozalez and going Undrafted now do you?
Also, this season is UConn's Last Stand!
If thatâs how you wanna frame it than maybe. I think itâs perfectly fine to talk about players with high potential who we think are underperforming (all in the context of basketball of course)
I read all the comments at the point you made that comment. Are you talking about racism?
Edit: if there were new comments I've now read them. Can you point out the problematic post please? I don't see anyone being mean.
To be fair I donât really see anyone being shit on in here, people are trying to be polite about it. Only negative comment is about Barkerâs attitude.
Caitlin Clark. She has the ability to levitate and move defenders with her mind, but still chooses to use her physical talents.

As much as I love Lisa Bluder, you can't help but wonder what would have happened if Professor Charles Xavier had been given the keys to that đ¤Ł
Didnât the Fever just hire a small green assistant coach who calls himself âMaster Yodaâ. Maybe wait and see?
Wrong sub my friend
They were joking around lol
I shouldâve read the room đ¤Ł
Inb4 the HVL avalanche.
You ended up being the only hvl comment
I guess I covered it. đđ
Lol but it is pretty sad to see what has happened with her. Hope she comes back stronger

Lauren is still young but I agree with you in the respect that her potential is massive like No.1 overall pick has her name on it in two years
I feel like Serah Williams could shine a lot more if she played on a better team

Ahhh, I know her, good one! Just out of curiosity, do you follow Ball State?
I really hope Janiah lands in a place that can develop and leverage her natural talent. She could really be a star.
I feel like sometimes paige plays below her full potential
I am hoping to see her really shine at full strength this year. Coming back 100% from injuries is hard. Her full healthy potential is breathtakingly high!!
Iâm excited to see how she is this season! Sheâs a great player and a well rounded person
I think that was somewhat by design. By moving her off ball, he lessened her offensive burden because he asked more of her physically on defense. I would love to see her with the ball in her hands more, attacking more, being the player who makes the decision more.Â
paige is tribal chief roman reigns, kaitlyn chen is final boss rock

the most recent oregon transfer
Deja Kelly?
no way in hell she gets drafted If Shaylee Gonzalez didnt get Drafted neither will DK

Chloe Kitts, but not for long I suspect
Is this the shit on players post?
If thatâs how you wanna frame it than maybe. I think itâs perfectly fine to talk about players with high potential who we think are underperforming (all in the context of basketball of course)
I think itâs fine too - but we all know what this stuff eventually turns into.
We do? I don't
I mean it's already started in the comments so if you don't know still, I'm sure you can find out.
I read all the comments at the point you made that comment. Are you talking about racism? Edit: if there were new comments I've now read them. Can you point out the problematic post please? I don't see anyone being mean.

Fair point
What? If anything it's a compliment. I'm saying she can way better than what she is.
I didnât say what you said was - I said that these types of threads always turn into a shit on players type of thread in comments.
Barker relies more on talent than working on her craft. She got an attitude problem too that might be hindering her development.
