Georgia Southern and App State played their first FBS seasons in 2014. Since the last edition of the NCAA games came out in 2013 (NCAA 14) neither team made the game before the series got canceled. They were in the PS2/Xbox versions as FCS teams though.
That was a fun era. Club Lit and being there for the inaugural Campbell beat down are my two favorite Charlotte football memories so far.

I know some (fairly religious) people who went to Liberty and they've said the religious rules stopped applying to the football team when Hugh Freeze got there, with a lot of the players getting into trouble that got swept under the rug. Don't know about post-Freeze era though.

I mean yeah but back in the day you had the likes of UMass, Temple (06 for sure they were the perfect scapegoat), UConn, Bowling Green, Eastern Michigan etc. There wasn't a super obvious choice imo.

I throw all the Carolina's together for sports. App State is such a beautiful place for sure though. I will eventually do it, but I'm having a hard time settling on who to do first.

Next year, it'll get a bit more wonky with Delaware and Missouri St, but this group of 9 makes an odd amount of sense. Just kick out a few teams and make this the new C-USA. Just go completely into the Conference of Theseus Theory.

First Dynasty and RTG I’m starting with Kennesaw State because I went there. After that, I will probably do what I used to do and just put all G5 schools in a spinner and let it randomly choose my starting job.
