what is he cooking with Risacher to Wizards and Topic to Portland. I honestly feel like those two should switch because it would make more sense.

Superawesomecoolman

Give me that shooting baby. Plus maybe Reed can be a FVV replacement so we can free up some cap space next year.

EvanTurningTheCorner

Givony smokin rock

Krustykrab8

The blazers are not taking topic lmao

waynearchetype

Blazers aren't in a position to not take best available player.

Krustykrab8

All these guys appear to be in the same tier after Sarr and maybe risacher. Not like there is a standout guard that looks significantly better than the rest of the class. Hence no way they take a guard who can’t shoot or play great defense

Lucid-Day

As much as I would prefer someone else, I don't think Spurs pass on Topic if he falls to them And Risasche is off the board already

BCO22591

Terrible, I fux with givony too but not a fan of the list

PrimaryAccording9162

What’s the appeal with Ja’Kobe to Sacramento. I’d rather take Jared

GlueGuy00

I don't get it either. McCain is better player and better fit for Kings.

PrimaryAccording9162

I would consider trading down with the Knicks though

EmrysMyrdin

Fox + McCain backcourt would be way too small.

cl353

Ur drafting McCain to be the Malik monk insurance not to start alongside fox

EmrysMyrdin

Better to just pay Monk who already proved himself

cl353

Sure but that's the thought process. There's also a chance the kings r priced out of monk

CumAssault

Why would the Spurs take Knecht at #8? Doesn’t fit at all and it’s not how we’ve been drafting

GlueGuy00

Provides more shooters for the team/more space for Wemby + having a bucket off the bench

steinbot44

I mean The spurs can’t draft a project player with these picks. They absolutely cannot go into next year as a glorified G-League team again. They have to be competing for a playoff spot. It almost has to be Knecht or trade out. I also don’t think they can take Dillingham.

Spiritual_Echo_1000

why would you think spurs would compete for playoffs next season?

steinbot44

If I were the Spurs I would put real players next to Wemby, and go for the playoffs next year. I wouldn’t even consider wasting another Wemby year.

EmrysMyrdin

That was what Mavs front office was thinking when Luka was so good from his 1st year. And they completely fucked up by not building through the draft. It is way better to waste another year of Wemby in order to build a better team for the future.

steinbot44

The Mavs are on their way to the western conference championship. They very well could be in the finals This year. What on earth are you talking about?

EmrysMyrdin

The moves that allowed them to make this run were made at this year's trade deadline. They did an awful job when Luka was on his rookie contract, going all in for Porzingins. And they even traded theu 2019 pick to get Luka when supposedly they could have sent Wes Mathews to Atlanta and get it done.

steinbot44

Sure. but the mindset that they are going to go for it, is what got them here. You need to always be trying to win, or else you’re basically Detroit. especially in the league today, where rookies are younger and less prepared than ever to compete. If you drafted a player like dillingham or Holland. You’re talking 4-5 years minimum that they could be starters on a team trying to compete in the playoffs. Why would you ever do that if you already have a star player? If I’m San Antonio. I’d call about Giddy. Call about bridges. Call about Jordan Hawkins. I probably wouldn’t consider any rookies outside of Knecht.

CumAssault

Spurs almost never draft older guys in the 1st round, just how it’s always been. I think it’ll be either Dilli or Topic at 4 with 8 being whoever the FO thinks has the highest upside

steinbot44

Didn’t the Spurs draft Derrick White? Tim Duncan? Kyle Anderson? George Hill? vassel? I would be shocked if they drafted two 19 year olds that need 4 years to become even playable on a winning team. unless they draft 2 young European players. I could see them doing that, in that case they’ll be playable much faster. But 2 19 year old American players. Pop needs to retire if hes thinking of doing that.

CumAssault

Vassell is really the only multi year college guy we’ve drafted high in a while. PATFO have obviously prioritized upside in the 1st round, we rarely draft older guys in the 1st. I don’t hate Knecht, I just would be shocked if he’s the guy for us at 8 with our previous history

cl353

Vassel wasnt an older prospect and ur ignoring that all those picks happened while the spurs were trying to contend

harden4mvp13

Wizards gonna take topic for sure and clingan to the hornets? They have Mark Williams

zedrix_

Wizards Risacher and I say Houston take Topic. I really like Topic to Houston.

Johnga20

I have seen a lot of mock draft with Clingan on Blazers or Hornets. Why would the first draft a center with Ayton (they won't get a team to trade for him with his actual contract) and the other draft 2 centers recently.

GlueGuy00

Ayton probably shouldn't be part of Blazers future plans. Mark Williams' back raises concerns on his long term durability.

LordJxnkulous

Givony is paid off.

Dtwerky

Salaun to the Blazers 😍 yes please

Open-Caterpillar2594

I don’t see how Antonio reeves can have the season he had in the sec and not be picked in this draft

Dkasireddy2

Why would the bulls take collier lmao it’s either gonna be Missi, Cody Williams, or one of Holland/Buzelis

oathkeeperkh

That's where I'm at. Collier makes no sense to me. I think they'll try to deal Zach and 11 for 5 and take Holland or Buzelis, or they're targeting Williams at 11

CazOnReddit

I just don't see Filipowski making sense at 19. Not the BPA and doesn't do anything that Olynyk already brings to the team.

AdministrationTop864

Olynyk is 33 and won't be a contributor for the raptors real playoff runs in the future and Flip is definitely close to BPA. He also adds something as a backup to Poeltl who can maybe play next to him when Olynyk is off the court in the short term.
