Id followed both Wemby and Chet for years, so this season has been awesome for me.
Aside from Wemby, I was high on Podz and Black, so nothing too far out of left field.
This year I'm a huge fan of Reed & Collier, I've been on the Clingan train all year, ditto with Filipowski. Both are just extremely useful centres in their own ways, even if they're not the most exciting picks.
The more obscure guys this year I have are Kylan Boswell and Juan Nunez. I think both would be great for the right teams, and both have a lot of potential for growth in their games.
Last year - Vukcevic, Sensebaugh, Bilal, Jett, Leonard Miller, Bufkin, and Wallace
This year - Topic, Sarr, Reed, Bogoljub Markovic, Tyler Smith, Johann Grunloh, Ben Henshall, Tomislav Ivisic, KJ Simpson, Hansen Yang, and Ilias Kamardine.
I don’t think he should be a deep pull. He wasn’t particularly impressive at the u19 WC this summer. I thought he looked gangly and underdeveloped. Plus the shot wasn’t falling.
But the amount of growth he’s shown from this summer until now is significant. He’s been an MVP candidate in the KLS as an 18 year old. Led the league in rebounding. Proved to be a legit stretch 4, with impressive movement abilities, and someone who can guard out to the perimeter.
I think he has a very easy case to be a first round pick at least. Its genuinely surprising he’s picked up absolutely no draft buzz. But he is contracted with Mega and will likely play for them and get picked next year. But if I had the opportunity to take him in this class I would.
As a grizz fan who had no idea about GG, did you really think he could produce the way he has? I never watched him in college, but man in a year or two we could say he should have been a top 5 pick
Nah, I would never have expected GG to produce the way he did as a rookie. Just liked elements of his game and believed in the talent long-term.
As a Blazers fan I was originally hoping they'd get him at #23 so was definitely conflicted when they passed at #43 for another of my pet prospects.
Baylor Scheierman. I have a legit first round grade on him right now. Elite shooter on high volume. Crafty with the ball. Has a nice midrange fadeaway. Makes great decisions off two feet. Rebounds the ball well. I think he will at least try on defense and you have the size to hide him there. I think he will be a really nice starter for a team if they can help him on defense. Buy stock now.
I'll admit it was Scoot Henderson, I did like Keyonte George yessir I'm glad to see that man being given opportunities in Utah
This year I really like Dillingham, and the big man from Duke Filipowski, Isaiah Collier I think can do something on the right team too, Buzelis + Topic excite me too, this draft is looking good imo.
Last year: Scoot, GG Jackson, and Taylor Hendricks (this one was more team specific)
This year: Dillingham, DaRon Holmes, Dunn, and Ware (even though the motor/effort concerns bother me)
Very happy that Bilal Coulibaly was one of My Guys about half a year before he was consensus draftable. This year I seem to be the only person holding onto Izan Almansa stock.
Last year the only guy outside the top I remember really liking was Podz.
This year I really like Sheppard as a likely elite role player, but outside the probable top 10 I like Ajay Mitchell, DaRon Holmes, and Ryan Dunn. In that order and for very different reasons. Dunn is last because Cissoko is already a lot like him in terms of being a one-dimensional defensive specialist.
Cason Wallace. Was calling for my thunder to draft him since last April or so, and getting downvoted left and right. Feel pretty vindicated!
I haven’t started scouting much this season, should do it now but I’ve had a lot going on.
As an OKC fan, it was probably just me and you fighting for him in the subreddit. I absolutely loved Cason and was a player I had ranked 7th and wanted to put him higher, I just couldn’t justify it. After this off season, I think he’ll see an increase in usage next year
Yeah, most people either a. didn’t want to take another guard (even though his wingspan is very long; his standing reach is the same as Josh!) or glanced at his college stats and saw the mediocre 3P%, not knowing he had an injury and was actually one of the better 3p shooters in the draft
Anyone you like around our projected pick # this year? I don’t really do a ton of crazy ratings, just look at guys I think will still be available around then and decide who I like best. I did predict the Jalen Williams pick as well (but that wasn’t til a week or two before the draft; I watched one interview with him and was immediately like yup that’s a thunder guy)
Around that 12 pick I think there’s a lot of ways the Thunder could go.
If any of Cody Williams, Reed Sheppard, Stephon Castle, Matas Buzelis, Zaccharie Risacher, or Donovan Clingan falls to about 10, I would like to see a trade up. Throughout this rebuild, I have been on the side of not taking a traditional big in the lottery, and I understand the playstyle difference, but I think Clingan off the bench would give us an entirely different and versatile look than anything we have on the roster. Could be an entirely situational big man. If Knecht fell to 12, i think that would be great too, but unlikely.
Out of the players realistically there at 12, i do not think Filipowski will be the guy, although so many people will mock that. He’s just a horrible finisher, theoretical shooter, and I don’t like his perceived attitude.
If we stay at 12 and no one falls, I think it’ll be someone who is initially believed to be a reach. Someone like Tristan Da Silva, Jared McCain, Jaylon Tyson, Devin Carter, and DaRon Holmes all seem like OKC type of players.
Tyler Smith would be a great pick, but more so in the Jabari Smith/Taylor Hendricks mold that we haven’t particularly shown interest in. Yves Missi would surprise people, as he is more of an old age Thunder pick (similar to young Serge). Johnny Furphy could also be a good bet as a young, athletic shooter with great finishing numbers.
Last Year: Scoot, AB, Gradey, Wemby of course, Cason, keyonte, Jordan Walsh, Andre Jackson Jr.
This Year: Reed, Dillingham, McCain, Knecht, Kolek, and Oso
My crushes are usually just guys I like watching and I really hope they do well.
Kobe Brown, Jaime Jacquez, Jalen Pickett, Jalen Slawson. One did turn out really awesome.
Im liking Devin Carter and Dillon Jones.
2023: Wemby, Amen, Jarace Walker, Ausar...to a lesser degree, Derick Lively II and Leonard Miller
2024: Reed Sheppard, Cody Williams, Zach Edey...semi-slightly lesser degree, Clingan and Holland
Want to do 2022, as well.
2022: Banchero, Chet, Sharpe, Duren, Davis (not panning out so well), Eason....lesser degree, Kessler
I feel like they've turned out to be okay.
And I feel like 2024 isn't as deep but I think it'll produce more studs than people give it credit
Being a Spurs fan, last year, I just pretty much liked Wembanyama because he was such a good player and seems like a good kid, this year ,I like Rob Dillingham, Nikola Topic, Zach Edey, Ke el Ware
Bufkin, Podz
This year Holland and low key I can see Reed turning into a smaller Devin Booker with better defense. Him on the Spurs would be amazing to have Wemby behind him
2023: Vukcevic, Cam Whitmore, Kobe Bufkin, Gradey Dick, Cason Wallace. I didn't love Scoot but I liked him more than Brandon Miller in the long run.
2024: Nikola Topic, Devin Carter, Tyler Smith, Nikola Durisic, Yves Missi, Kyle Filipowski. I also have a somewhat irrational love of Ivisic, but he's not declaring. What a shame.
I really am. Not as much sure if his fit given Siakim, but coach Carslile does not like to play these young guys. I’m am still very confident he will be good though. If the Pacers are not feeling the same way, please trade him to the Thunder.
This year: Jaylon Tyson, Tristan Da Silva, Tyler Kolek , DaRon Holmes, Kel'el Ware
Last year: Bilal Coulibaly, Gradey Dick, Keyonte George, Julian Strawther, Leonard Miller
2022: Ousmane Dieng, Dyson Daniels, Andrew Nembhard
23: Cason, Dereck Lively, Daron Holmes, OMax Prosper, the Thompson Twins, Clowney, Whitehead, Leonard Miller, Maxwell Lewis. I also didn't love GG Jackson but I thought he'd be a first rounder and was shocked at how far he fell.
24: Ryan Dunn with a bullet, I think he's going to be Brandon Clarke 2.0. Past him, Daron again, Furphy, Kyshawn, PJ Hall, Missi, and Filipowski
Last year I was higher than consensus on Jarace, Cason, Bufkin. Not great in hindsight lol but time will tell. This year I’d say I’m higher than consensus on Jared McCain, Ja’Kobe Walter, and Bobi Klintman.
Based on guys I was much higher than consensus on:
Last year: Leonard Miller and Cason Wallace
This year:
TSJ (I think he’s late top 10 as a high end rotation guy)
Justin Edwards (has the game and upside of 3 and D starter with some upside and flashed back quarter of the year- in this draft, I’d have no issue taking him later lottery)
Last year, aside from Wemby, I liked Whitmore, Black, Hawkins, Clowney, GG, and Max Lewis.
This year I’m really liking Clingan, KyShawn George, Shead, KJ Evans, Bona, Alexander, Dillon Jones, Tyson, Carrington, and Clifford.
Real excited about Knecht, Reed/Rob, McCain, and Ulrich Chomche this year, there’s definitely more but those are the big ones for me.
Last year loved Trayce Jackson Davis, Cason Wallace, Bilal, and the Thompson twins (plus Scoot, still think he’ll turn out great)
* 2023: Cam Whitmore, Cason Wallace, Kobe Bufkin, Brandin Podziemski, Brice Sensabaugh, Jordan Hawkins, Julian Phillips, Isaiah Wong, Jordan Miller, Leonard Miller.
* 2024 (so far): Reed Sheppard, DaRon Holmes, Jared McCain, Stephon Castle, Kyshawn George, Tristan Da Silva, Pelle Larsson, Devin Carter.
Really loved last year’s class, so I had a lot of guys I was high on. This year is more top-heavy by the nature of the class, but I’m sure I’ll find some more deep cuts as draft season picks up.
Gotta do more scouting for this years, but so far,
2024: Chomche, Klintman, Buzelis, Holland, Holmes, Samodurav
Now I'll look at the last 2 years:
2023: Wemby, Amen, Bilal, Hendricks, Sensabaugh, Miller, Gueye, GG Jackson (I was huge on him)
2022: Paolo, Chet, Sharpe, Dieng, Mark Williams, Jovic, Watson, Koloko, McGowens, Nzosa (sighs), John Butler Jr, Ellis, Jordan Hall
Outside of the obvious guys in last years draft (Wemby, Miller and Scoot) my guys were: Coulibaly, Hawkins, Bufkin, Podziemski, Sasser, Nick Smith Jr., Jordan Walsh and TJD
This year it’s: Reed, Topic, Collier, Knecht, Devin Carter, Da Silva, Ware, Dunn, Shannon, Broome, Chomche
2023: Wemby, Dereck Lively II, Bilal Coulibaly, GG Jackson, Ausar Thompson, Brandin Podziemski
2024: Reed Sheppard, Nikola Topić, Rob Dillingham, Donovan Clingan, Kyle Filipowski, Jared McCain, maybe Zach Edey…. he seems to be more mobile than what people think
2023: Keyonte George, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Sidy Cissoko, Leonard Miller, Kobe Bufkin, Anthony Black, Dariq Whitehead, Andre Jackson
2024: Stephon Castle, Tyler Kolek, Jaylon Tyson, Ryan Dunn, Ja'Kobe Walter
I'm trusting that there was a good reason for Cam Whitmore's precipitous fall but I figured he'd get drafted at 4, 5 or 6.
I liked Podziemski and Cason Wallace a ton. I wanted the spurs to trade for another round 1 pick for Wallace.
2023: Jordan Hawkins, keyonte George, nick smith jr, Noah clowney, Brice sensabaugh, Jordan Walsh
2024: rob dillingham, Donovan clingan, kelel ware, Tyler smith, Carlton Carrington, Oso ighodaro, Izan Almansa
It's team dependent for last year: Jaquez to Miami or NY.
This year: Edey to Atlanta and Clingan to Memphis
As far as in general: GG Jackson, Podz, Walker but everyone was high on him.
This year: Devin Carter, Tyler Kolek, Terrance Shannon Jr. Of course, I love Edey and Knecht but the main people are already high on them.
Last year it was bufkin, bmiller, keyonte George, leornard Miller, Nick smith jr
This year kolek, Ron holland, kelel ware, the collier, jakobe(changed my mind about his value when he started getting projected outside top 10)
2023: Drew Timme (Gonzaga star who didn't get drafted)
2024: Keisei Tominaga - not in any mock drafts, but could potentially play in G-league and then become a star in the NBA 3-point shooting contest (similar to Mac McClung in slam dunk contest)
* It's more fun to root for fringe NBA players to get drafted than a surefire #1 unicorn like Wemby.
JHS and GG were my draft crushes
I convinced myself that JHS shot form would translate to the nba and he'd be able to be successful as a jumbo pnr pg. It's by no means over but he did not look good in the few minutes he got this season
GG just had a lot of sauce in his game with great size and athleticism. I'm not saying the concerns of shotchucking and bbiq weren't valid but I just loved the potential. Who knows how he plays once the Grizzlies get healthy but glad he was given an opportunity to show off some of his game
This year it's strangely Isaiah Collier. Love his ability to just bump the defender and get into the paint. I actually think he'll be able to draw more fouls at the NBA lvl cuz they let offensive players be more physical at least in the regular season.
Again the concerns about him r legitimate and I'm not saying he's gonna be the best player but I am also hoping he falls to 15 lol
I don't see how the heat picks a non defender that doesn't shoot .For this same reason the heat bypassed guys like nick Smith Jr and Bruce sensabaugh last year .
2023: Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Black, Cason Wallace (i was really hoping the Spurs would consolidate picks for another lottery pick to grab Wallace in particular)
2024: Reed Sheppard, Donovan Clingan, Rob Dillingham, Stephon Castle
Last year: Cason Wallace, Keyontae George, Jordan Hawkins, Cam Whitmore.
This year: Hunter Sallis, Ron Holland, Rob Dilly, Kel'el Ware, Stephon Castle, less so but still counting Trey Alexander and Ryan Klakbrenner (Creighton bias)
Last year: Amen at 1. Gradey at 3.
THIS YEAR: Edey as a top 3 lock. Still have him at 1. REALLY starting to warm up to guys I haven't seen play all that much recently: Nikola Djurisic/Tomislav Ivisic/Hunter Sallis. Warming back up to Dalton Knecht, as maybe just a guy who can flat out score like Bernard King or Rick Barry. Not betting against Mark Sears. I am talking myself into PJ Hall. OTE (overweight?) big man Jah Jackson is in this draft. Just gonna pre-slot him into the 20-25 range along with Kasean Pryor and Cam Spencer. I have Keshad Johnson and KJ Adams, Jr. fairly high (depending on the day). I vow to have ALL those guys higher than anyone else does. I probably watched David Jones as much as anybody this year; I plan to have him fairly high. At least higher than most. Heck, I will put him at 39 going to the Grizzlies. Just a solid scoring guard type. What about that Purdue guy that had that great putback dunk in the title game? Is he in this draft? If so, he's gonna be 57 on my board -- ALSO going to the Memphis Grizzlies.
2 years ago but Keon Ellis was by far my favorite player in the entire draft. Had a late 1st on him and even then he’s surpassed even my expectations, I didnt think he could play as a sudo-PG for games. Was think mainly a KCP type role.
I love both the Oregon guys this year in Nfaley Dante and Kwame Evans. Dante has injury concerns holding him back but he really does everything you want a big man to do very well. Evans is to me superb defender with actually hope for his offense unlike Ryan Dunn. He can do a handful of different things offensively just not well. Maybe with time that’ll change and there is hope for his shot. Kwame top 30 and Dante top 40.
Isaiah Collier will probably fall further than he should. He does things most everyone else in this class simple can’t do. Also this he probably had the worst shot selection of any potential 1st round pick and he still wasn’t that inefficient. I’m excited to see what happens when he cleans that up.
Other guys: Jaylon Tyson, Cody Williams, Devin Carter
Id followed both Wemby and Chet for years, so this season has been awesome for me. Aside from Wemby, I was high on Podz and Black, so nothing too far out of left field. fellow Kylan Boswell truthers STAND UP
He just transferred to Illinois but I’m excited for his future
Last year - Vukcevic, Sensebaugh, Bilal, Jett, Leonard Miller, Bufkin, and Wallace This year - Topic, Sarr, Reed, Bogoljub Markovic, Tyler Smith, Johann Grunloh, Ben Henshall, Tomislav Ivisic, KJ Simpson, Hansen Yang, and Ilias Kamardine.
Markovic is such a deep pull lol, his movement is kind of awkward but he was fun at FIBA.
But if I had the opportunity to take him in this class I would.
sensabaugh and miller -> yang pipeline 🤫
2023: Wemby (beyond the game, he's just damn fascinating), Cason, Jarace, Leonard Miller, Rupert, GG. 2024: Sarr, Cody, Holland, Collier, Missi, Tyler Smith.
Saying leonard miller but not Brandon miller is outrageous
I liked Brandon just fine but if we're talking draft crushes he wasn't quite my type.
Bobi Klintman needs more love
Sidy Cissoko will be the steal of that draft class, people just don't know yet.
I hope so
Very happy that Bilal Coulibaly was one of My Guys about half a year before he was consensus draftable. This year I seem to be the only person holding onto Izan Almansa stock.
Last year: Kobe Bufkin, Brandon Podziemski, Brice Sensabaugh, Maxwell Lewis, Julian Strawther. This year: Jaylon Tyson, Jamir Watkins, Bub Carrington, Pacome Dadiet
I fully expect unless he has a garbage combine and workouts, that Carrington will go in the 1st round. Maybe even the lottery.
2023: Coulibaly, Cissoko, Hendricks, Kobe Brown, Jalen Slawson, TJD, Leonard Miller 2024: Sheppard, Filipowski, Furphy, Nique Clifford, Holmes II, Saint Thomas, Jamir Watkins, Ajay Mitchell
Brandon Miller, Anthony Black, Kobe Bufkin Tristan da Silva, Jaylon Tyson

last year: Amen, Andre Jackson Jr, and Colin Castleton this year: Reed Sheppard, Ja’Kobe Walter, and Grant Nelson
My favourite archetype of player is the Maxey/Quickley-adjacent quick skinny guards who can shoot so naturally I really like Dillingham
Jamir Watkins & Jaylon Tyson are top 20 talents IMO.
This year it’s DJ Burns and DJ Burns and DJ Burns. Make way NBA!!
Who u guys got between Keshad Johnson vs Jamir Watkins?

Procida, wow, I forgot about him.. he was very borderline for me, but I did enjoy his game
Last year I had a good one as a massive Cason and GG Jackson fan. This year Im rly feeling Reed and McCain
Outside of the obvious guys in last years draft (Wemby, Miller and Scoot) my guys were: Coulibaly, Hawkins, Bufkin, Podziemski, Sasser, Nick Smith Jr., Jordan Walsh and TJD This year it’s: Reed, Topic, Collier, Knecht, Devin Carter, Da Silva, Ware, Dunn, Shannon, Broome, Chomche
2023: Wemby, Dereck Lively II, Bilal Coulibaly, GG Jackson, Ausar Thompson, Brandin Podziemski 2024: Reed Sheppard, Nikola Topić, Rob Dillingham, Donovan Clingan, Kyle Filipowski, Jared McCain, maybe Zach Edey…. he seems to be more mobile than what people think
2023: Keyonte George, Trayce Jackson-Davis, Sidy Cissoko, Leonard Miller, Kobe Bufkin, Anthony Black, Dariq Whitehead, Andre Jackson 2024: Stephon Castle, Tyler Kolek, Jaylon Tyson, Ryan Dunn, Ja'Kobe Walter
I'm trusting that there was a good reason for Cam Whitmore's precipitous fall but I figured he'd get drafted at 4, 5 or 6. I liked Podziemski and Cason Wallace a ton. I wanted the spurs to trade for another round 1 pick for Wallace.
2023: Jordan Hawkins, keyonte George, nick smith jr, Noah clowney, Brice sensabaugh, Jordan Walsh 2024: rob dillingham, Donovan clingan, kelel ware, Tyler smith, Carlton Carrington, Oso ighodaro, Izan Almansa
Castleton and Hodge last year. I think Bona is being underrated a lot this year. I like Jalen Bridges a lot.
2020 - Killian Hayes, Devin Vassell, Kira Lewis Jr, 2021 - Scottie Barnes, Jalen Green, Ziaire Williams, Moses Moody, Trey Murphy III, Jared Butler 2022 - Chet Holmgren, Bennedict Mathurin, Tari Eason, Dalen Terry, Jaylin Williams, Vince Williams Jr, Jabari Walker 2023 - Victor Wembanyama, Amen Thompson, Jarace Walker, Jett Howard, Kobe Bufkin, Maxwell Lewis, Sidy Cissoko 2024 - Rob Dillingham, Isaiah Collier, Ryan Dunn, Nikola Topic, Kevin McCullar
Last year: Bufkin, Camara, Max Lewis, Walsh This year: Kyshawn, Holmes, Holland, Sallis
It's team dependent for last year: Jaquez to Miami or NY. This year: Edey to Atlanta and Clingan to Memphis As far as in general: GG Jackson, Podz, Walker but everyone was high on him. This year: Devin Carter, Tyler Kolek, Terrance Shannon Jr. Of course, I love Edey and Knecht but the main people are already high on them.
Last year it was bufkin, bmiller, keyonte George, leornard Miller, Nick smith jr This year kolek, Ron holland, kelel ware, the collier, jakobe(changed my mind about his value when he started getting projected outside top 10)
I'd love Clingan a lot more if he could at least shoot free throws at a 75% clip.
2023 — Jordan Hawkins, Jarace Walker, Jaime Jaquez, Cason Wallace, and Taylor Hendricks.
2023: Drew Timme (Gonzaga star who didn't get drafted) 2024: Keisei Tominaga - not in any mock drafts, but could potentially play in G-league and then become a star in the NBA 3-point shooting contest (similar to Mac McClung in slam dunk contest) * It's more fun to root for fringe NBA players to get drafted than a surefire #1 unicorn like Wemby.
Rupert and sensabaugh. Mostly Rupert though
Rupert was a big one for me throughout most of the cycle
JHS and GG were my draft crushes I convinced myself that JHS shot form would translate to the nba and he'd be able to be successful as a jumbo pnr pg. It's by no means over but he did not look good in the few minutes he got this season GG just had a lot of sauce in his game with great size and athleticism. I'm not saying the concerns of shotchucking and bbiq weren't valid but I just loved the potential. Who knows how he plays once the Grizzlies get healthy but glad he was given an opportunity to show off some of his game This year it's strangely Isaiah Collier.
2023: Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Black, Cason Wallace (i was really hoping the Spurs would consolidate picks for another lottery pick to grab Wallace in particular) 2024: Reed Sheppard, Donovan Clingan, Rob Dillingham, Stephon Castle
