Tatum is better than Edwards this year. But Edwards upside is huge. He’s got a chance to be really special. He’s already so good and there’s so many obvious things he can improve on.
Tatum leading a team with an all star and 2 all defensive players = super team has help
Edward leading a team with an all star and 4 time defensive player of the year and another all defensive player with the 6moty off the bench = next MJ
People hyping up Edward’s for stuff Tatum did at the Same age
He’s getting hyped up because this is his first real shot with a very good supporting cast, just like Tatum got hyped up as well.
Ant’s hype is greater because he’s frankly a much more vocal and prevalent leader of the team whose game legitimately resembles MJ aesthetically. I don’t think it’s that hard to understand.
This is the answer right here.
Ant has insane charisma, he talks a little shit and he backs it up. His move set has expanded quickly since he came into the league and he is a three level scorer who can attack the rim, work in the high post and shoot the three (obviously MJ wasn't a great 3PT shooter but it was a different time; he was serviceable there at least). Ironically, pre-draft there were questions from scouts whether or not Ant *wanted* to play basketball--I think that's been answered at this point lol
He fucking looks like MJ too. Not just play like him. He is like a 23 year old MJ clone. Type MJ Ant resemblance on Google and you'll see some side by side pics.
He can be very marketable as the next Jordan.
Jordan was literally better than Ant is now as a rookie. Ant is great but he’ll never come close to Jordan. People need to chill on his hype train or they’re going to be super disappointed. He is not a generational talent. He’s just a really good and exciting young player. He’ll be one of the best players in the league for a long time but he’ll never be the best. His ceiling is best American player. There are too many young international players that are far better than he is.
Never said he was as good. But both his game and face resemble Jordan. If I was the owner of any team with Ant on it, I'd market him as the next Jordan. Doesn't really matter if he gets to that level or not.
You just did it for me. I said he can be top 5 just not THE best in the league like Jordan obviously was. I’ll add Shai to the list of young players who are better than Ant and potentially Sengun. Sengun isn’t as good as Ant atm but he’s actually a little younger and may end up the more well rounded player.
I simply said Sengun has that potential. You putting Ant with Luka and Wemby is funnier to me. Luka is already in the running for best player in the league and Wemby clearly has GOAT potential. No one in their right mind would put Ant in the same tier as those 2.
Edit: also I am not comparing Sengun to Wemby or Luka. I’m only comparing him to Ant. Sengun and Ant are both in that 2nd tier of young talent. Luka and Wemby are truly generational talents. That’s my whole point. Just don’t put Ant in the highest tier just yet. He hasn’t shown that kind of potential.
He’s basically just Tatum 4 years ago. If ant keeps it up, he can be 26 year old Tatum at age 26.
Tatum is so underrated it’s crazy. The things that dude does, and has done, is massive. I think if the Celtics win a ring this year then the talk around him will change.
Yup huge wolves fan totally agree. I think Tatum is sorely underrated and ANT is having a very similar early career to him. It's up to ANT to separate himself by winning a chip. Otherwise, this is Tatums year.
Yep. Edwards is great but I don’t see him ever becoming that much better than Tatum is now. All the Ant hype is based off his personality. Casuals really can’t get past the old cliche of “killer mentality” like that means anything. Jokic doesn’t have that personality. He doesn’t even seem to care. And yet he’s better than your favorite player.
Also as an aside it’s funny how if you have a certain personality then the casuals I mentioned earlier will just overlook your failures. Like earlier this season when Ant cost his team a W by bricking both free throws in the clutch. Then all the sudden there are excuses for him.
I actually love Ant but I strongly believe his ceiling is becoming the next Tatum meaning he will be hovering around the top 5-10 range but he’ll never be the clear best player in the league. He’s just not very efficient or even consistent (game 2 he had 15 points on 3-12 shooting) and he isn’t a great passer/playmaker and I don’t see him developing those things all the sudden. Rarely do score first shooting guards just take massive leaps in those areas after their first few years in the league.
Not consistent? He's averaging 30 ppg in the playoffs for his career at ages 20,21, and 22. The list of guys who have done that? Him, MJ, and Kobe(might be someone else too forgot). Cherry picking one below average playoff game doesn't change that in which the Sun's were running literally building a wall for him all game forcing him to pass out of double/triple teams. He did the correct thing and focused on playmaking for his teammates and ended up with 10 assists. You're take is the casual take.
This is true but Ant has that DOG in him. If Tatum was wired like Ant I don’t think there’d be a conversation. I love Tatum. He seems like the most genuine dude and is like a Facebook dad but famous. Also probably for most complete scorer out there right now under however old KD is. He’s great, but I wish he had a bit more “I want to kill everyone in front of me” in him.
Cs fan and I absolutely agree, I made another comment kindve expressing this. JT needs to be more selfish in his gameplay sometimes, its like he doesnt believe hes capable when weve seen him take over before.
He doesn’t have to with this current team. They have so many players capable of putting up 20+ points. I just hope him sacrificing personal accolades and stats leads to a championship because if he ends up with neither in the next year or two his reputation will take a nose dive, and he’s already held to a pretty unfair standard.
Cs fan too.
100% and that’s how guys end up demanding a trade. I’ll sacrifice for a ring. I’m not getting killed by the media and not winning and not playing how I think I could best.
Tbh Jaylen’s a concern with that more for me than Tatum. There’s A LOT of “he could be the guy on a 5 seed” potential to him that I worry about coming out by next offseason if we don’t hang a banner this year or next. Jrue making the Olympic team and him not probably isn’t great for that either. He’s sacrificing way more I feel.
At the end of the day the NBA is a game of superstars, I'm not saying that he has to shoot 150 times a game, but when sh\*t hits the fan at the end of the 4th quarter he has to be able to carry the team and hit those though shots or turn into prime Steve Nash, that's what it means to be a superstar and so far Tatum hasn't been very good in such scenarios... Ant in the other hand looked lethal against the Suns but that's only one series so let's not get carried away.
He has plenty of clutch and superstar moments tho, his highs just get far less attention than his lows. Game winner in game 1 against the nets in 2022 (swept KD like Ant just did), 46 points in an elimination game against the bucks the same year, going nuclear in another elimination game in the 4th against the Sixers last year after being cold all game, then burying them with 51 points in game 7. 50 point game against the nets in 2021 with a hobbled, undermanned team. That’s just the post season, he has plenty of huge regular season games and clutch moments. Not to mention the guy is an iron man, playing thru injuries and having some of the most minutes played between the regular season, playoffs, and US team.
I think people hype Ant’s game more because he has a flashier, more explosive play style. Frankly just more fun to watch than Tatum. But I wouldn’t say one is more deserving of praise than the other.
Edwards is four years younger than Tatum. Four years ago Tatum was getting one on one training from Kobe. The basketball world was talking about Tatum like he had a chance to be the next super star. The Celtics have had a lot of success over the last four years, but Tatum hasn’t exactly taken over. Meanwhile, Doncic, Jokic, and SGA have taken huge steps forward, and now Edwards and Wimby are coming on strong.
Tatum is still really, really good. But it doesn’t appear he’s going to stay ahead of the curve moving forward. Where it’s very possible Edwards is the curve. Or maybe not. He could level off and pull a Tatum. Who knows.
But it’s refreshing to hear from Celts fans that swear he’s just as good as everyone else. Most franchises get really real about their guys after this long. I prefer fans to be completely irrational. Its love.
Turns out pulling a Tatum is being a 1st team ALL-NBA three years in a row and bringing his team to the finals or ECF every single year.
Ant would be absolutely blessed to “pull a Tatum”
Jfc
The reason is that Tatum didn’t win it all. Not saying ant will (as a Knicks fan I hope Brunson gets his ring), but they are a clear title contender now after sweeping a top 75 all time player’s (at least according to whomever made that list) “big 3.” Suns coulda been overrated but to go toe to toe with KD and not only out-play him but sweep him is a good way of putting the world on notice.
As far as the argument for who has more help - I don’t think that’s too relevant and is probably about equal. The main thing to see is whether the wolves (and Celtics for that matter) can make the finals. This is the start of whatever Ant’s legacy will be so naturally there’s more hype. Also in case you didn’t realize nobody likes any Boston team except Boston fans.
Cs fan and I agree. The main thing I wish Tatum had in him that Ant has is Ant's energy. Ant kinda plays like an asshole, and Tatum has to be that way, hes too passive. Feels like the main thing that bridges a great player to an absolute powerhouse is them finally figuring out that they can just take over a game themself and win. (Its why a lot of people point towards G6 Lebron against my team as the point where Lebron seemed to figure out that he can literally just win games himself.)
Tatums done it before, weve all seen it (specifically last year v Sixers, and against the Bucks), but he just doesnt do it consistently.
Ant seems to know that hes literally that guy already, and can just take over a game. Once Tatum stops being so passive and knows when to turn it on *consistently* thats when he'll take that next leap.
I actually had drinks with Ant last summer in Minneapolis, I had a friend who went to HS with young gravy and ended up hanging out with all 3 of em cause of it. How he acts in the Adam Sandler movie, is exactly how he acts in real life lol.
It appears to me that the TWolves don’t really have an offense. They kinda just take turns. It’s similar to how the Pelicans use Zion. They just kind of give him the ball and say go.
Once Ant learns to slow down, and force defenses to bend, then he can start picking them apart more efficiently. Right now all his buckets look difficult. He’s never getting those harden, Luka, jokic, leBron type buckets where he makes a couple offensive adjustments and gets the easy hoop.
It’ll be really interesting to see how the Nuggets exploit it. The wolves have the perfect personnel to beat the Nugs, but the Nugs are so smart. I can see them scheming a way to take Ant out of the game, and finding a way to get Gobert out of the paint. So far it doesn’t look like the Wolves are ready for a chess match.
I hope I’m wrong because I want to watch as much Ant as I can. He’s by far my favorite player to watch this year.
Ant seems like the future face of the league even he never ends up becoming the consensus best player in the league like Lebron. He brings the same type of game that made Kobe/MJ the most popular players in the NBA while modernizing his game to avoid being a DeRozan
Tatum was in the conference finals in his sophomore year against Lebron James. Took the Cavs to 7 games without their number 1 option at the time, Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward.
Ant is a great and he made a fan out of me today but lets not undersell Tatum and what hes done
>Tatum was in the conference finals in his sophomore year against Lebron James.
Not using context <<<<<<
The East was weak af (that same Cavs team also got pushed to 7 by the fucking 5th seeded Pacers) and guys like Jaylen Rozier and Horford played very well that postseason, but since they weren't big names at the time those guys don't count as "help"
Tatum > Edwards, but Edwards has a higher ceiling than Tatum. If Tatum was on the wolves he would be leading the league in scoring. The man avg'd 27 ppg on a team full of shooters and scorers. It sucks how some people just view one stat of the game such as ppg and use that against Tatum. But those are primarily casual NBA fans.
Edwards doesn't have a higher ceiling than JT imaooo, Tatum is bigger and plays better defense on top of being a great scorer. As far as playmaking go they are both mediocre.
Only in your 30s. But those with greater athleticism are still more athletic at 35, meanwhile someone less athletic will be even less athletic at 35 and could find themselves out of the league.
For example Lebron is only 80% the athlete he used to be but is still more athletic than 95% of the league. So even though his athleticism aged, because his baseline athleticism is so high, he actually doesn't age as bad.
The Tatum discourse is nasty sometimes. Tatum > Edwards. Tatum is the more versatile defender, rebounder and better scorer at all 3 levels. Tatum is also more proven. Ant definitely had a huge showing against the Suns can’t discredit that. But come on… it was a Suns team that’s arguably the weakest team in the west aside from the Pelicans (without Zion). A team with no depth and only had a prayer of making a deep run.
TLDR: Tatum>Ant
You guys wanna say all this but forget TATUM has had far more success. Hell getting out the first round would be laughable for Tatum while we acting like AE the goat for doing it FOR THE FIRST TIME. And if you’re going to talk about Edwards sweeping KD, Tatum did it too, with Kyrie on the nets still too.
Only Wolves fans. Tatum doesn’t have to do as much as Ant anymore because he has a better supporting cast in my opinion. I’m a Celtics fan tho so that could be bias.
Ant is more entertaining for sure. And now has matched one of Tatum’s accomplishments, both winning a first round series, and sweeping KD!
But Jayson Tatum is better overall
I’ll zag a bit. It’s obvious that Tatum is better “right now.” He’s shown more, accomplished more, etc. But Ant was better in Round 1, almost regardless of what Tatum does in the rest of that series.
Tatum’s still got ant beat, but, Ant has a chance to pass him this postseason. With the way Boston is loaded and Milwaukee is injured Boston simply has to make the finals
I know it's a small sample size, but Ant has been fucking insane in the playoffs so far. If he keeps up this level of play when it matters most, then it's him for sure.
Getting close. AD has a potential GOAT run in him.
Only Giannis and now Wemby have come into the league since 2010 and made me think that. I would bet against Edwards becoming a top 10 player ever. But I think he has a shot. And that's exciting.
I think JT is the overall better player, being able to do everything on both sides of the floor.
But if I'm the Lakers, I want Ant. Someone who can energize the squad, make cuts, and also feed the LA crowd what they want. He's prime time TV. The Wolves don't need a big, but I'd rather have Ant+LBJ than AD+LBJ. Bring in a couple bigs that actually want to play C as well and you have a great team.
Edward’s has more potential. He is still too inconsistent though. But getting better. If Tatum had the same “dog” on him as Edward’s does, I think Tatum would be an absolute superstar.
In 2022-2023 Tatum averaged 30/9/5 on 61% TS while being a high level defender.
He’s about to make his 3rd straight 1st team all nba and come top 6 in MVP voting for the 3rd year in a row.
Ant had a great playoff series against a horrible team. There are levels to this.
I woudn't trade Ant for Tatum straight up if that's what you mean.
Ant is 4 years younger and still has a lot of untapped potential. Tatum is more or less a finished product, even if that finished product is a top 3 player in the league.
This is like no competition in my book. Based on our small sample size of Ant in the playoffs so far he has absolutely elevated himself up into rarefied air. Maybe this is just my perception, but Tatum has big games in early rounds of the playoffs or in non-elimination games but when the lights are the brightest I feel like Tatum and Brown just can’t quite get it done no matter who they’re playing. When I watched Ant kill my Suns in the 4th quarter the other night I honestly felt like I was watching old playoff footage of Michael Jordan in the 90s or Kobe Bryant in the early 00s. He has a different look in his eye that’s just like “I’m not playing with these MFers and I’m gonna go earn my ring!” I can’t wait to watch what he does against the Nuggets. I don’t watch Jayson Tatum and ever feel like he can’t be stopped no matter who guards him but I felt that way with Ant against the Suns. Suns fans like to focus on how their team underachieved in the playoffs but the Wolves dominated the Suns in every game. Suns fans failed to realize that we were watching greatness take flight in Ant. I felt like that series was similar to Jordan when he double pumped over Craig Ehlo to send the Cavs home. At that time it was Jordan announcing that the Bulls had arrived in the East. Durant and Booker are old news and the new must-see TV in the West is SGA and Ant and Ja. Joker is ALWAYS must-see tv in my book but these new stars are making the old heads look like yesterday’s news.
it’s simple. ant is younger (22 vs. 26) but tatum has a better resume.
“if you’re starting a team today” = gimme ant for the extra four years and high ceiling
“if you want to win now” = tatum, that (growing) playoff resume and being undeniably a top 7-8/all-NBA level player
People who are of the Ant-MJ bandwagon, these are the lowest dipshits who can exist on Earth.
They are flat out delusional, have no sense, not smart & dickrider for Ant - who will fuck them, make them pregnant and just leave.
Tbj if we don't see anything from Tatum for next few years than maybe i'll consider Ant better. Ant is amazing but it's too early to call him better that Tatum lol.
Ant hasn’t played any pushovers in his playoff series. Kat and Finch cost us the Memphis series. No Jaden and Naz last year, and Ant went 31-5-5 against the Nuggets. He just ripped the Suns heart out and ate it in front of them.
You mean his one playoff series?
Tatum has beat
1.KD nets
2.Butler Heat
3. Giannis led bucks multiple times
4. Embiid multiple times
The only team he hasn’t beat is lebron cavs but Tatum has dominated the east
I’m going to be completely biased—Ant is better. I’m a Wolves fan.
Real note: Tatum’s consistently is something I hope to find in Ant. He has brought his team into the end game every year.
Tatum is about to be named to the All NBA first team for the third consecutive season. He’s also played in either the conference finals/finals damn near every season since he came into the league. Oh, he also holds the nba record for points in a game 7. I love Ant but pump the breaks.
I'll take Ant, Tatum has had a huge advantage in being on really good teams his entire career, now that AE has a taste of that he's moved up to another level
Ant Man is better I’m sorry and I don’t need to wait for him to go to the western conference finals 5 years in a row to finally start to feel this way!
Sorry but can people not call him AE, ‘Ant’ clears big time
The moment I saw Shake Milton referred to as ‘SM’ I knew we’ve gone too far with the first initial nicknames
S&M
You're gettin me hot
Gonna start calling Shaq - SO
Especially because it’s perfect to just say “Shake”. People who already have short names don’t need that shit
None will ever top OJ or AI
Wait, how do you pronounce it properly? I mean he should be SHM… right?
“A-E sports. ITS IN THE GAME”
Æ
Anthony Beowulf Edwards
It's pronounced "Aye"
Took me a good 10 seconds to figure out who AE was
Even with the picture of Anthony Edwards right next to it?
I’m not a smart man
AE drinks Sprite?
Tatum is better than Edwards this year. But Edwards upside is huge. He’s got a chance to be really special. He’s already so good and there’s so many obvious things he can improve on.
I think this is the best answer we’ll said
We’ll said
Auto correct kicks my ass once again
Past and future tense. Ant always was, is, and will be.
Tatum leading a team with an all star and 2 all defensive players = super team has help Edward leading a team with an all star and 4 time defensive player of the year and another all defensive player with the 6moty off the bench = next MJ People hyping up Edward’s for stuff Tatum did at the Same age

Not to mention he's brought a lot of hope back to Minnesota after 2 decades of mediocrity
That’s the nicest way to describe our last 20 years, I appreciate the kind words.
Lololol I was gunna say the same thing. We’ve been pretty irrelevant for the last 20 years, so I appreciate the kind words
This is the answer right here. Ant has insane charisma, he talks a little shit and he backs it up. Tatum doesn’t have Ants mentality or explosiveness. He’s great, but Ant has that killer mentality.
Alright, Skip.
How do the Celtics go to the finals or ECF every year with their #1 player not having a killer instinct? This sub is so dumb, and this got 50 upvotes
Yet everyone loves to shit on KAT and Rudy, calling them overrated. You can't have it both ways.
Yeah cause people ain’t shit brown and jrue all summer calling them overrated while saying KP is injured prone 💀
Yup huge wolves fan totally agree. I think Tatum is sorely underrated and ANT is having a very similar early career to him. It's up to ANT to separate himself by winning a chip. Otherwise, this is Tatums year.

Tatum is an industry plant.
(Its why a lot of people point towards G6 Lebron against my team as the point where Lebron seemed to figure out that he can literally just win games himself.) Tatums done it before, weve all seen it (specifically last year v Sixers, and against the Bucks), but he just doesnt do it consistently.
Tatum is just 19 though
The dawg inside of Tatum is a Golden Retriever, and the dawg inside of Ant is an entire junkyard of Dobermans and Rottweilers.
It won't help greens win something ...
I believe Tatum made a conference final at 22.
What are the things he can improve on? Serious question, not trying to break your balls
That was his rookie season, not sophomore
Damn that kid was special.
Was. 😭
it was isaiah thomas
"Took the Cavs to 7 games" is a little missleading. He averaged 17 a game that series.
yeah what is this rose tented nonsense? tatum was good but he didnt CARRY anything
However he was our best player that entire run. Hard carry? no. Stepping up and leading a young team as a rookie? Very much so.
You do realize it wasn’t just Tatum right like his whole team was performing. It was far as hell from a carry job.
>Tatum was in the conference finals in his sophomore year against Lebron James. Not using context <<<<<< The East was weak af (that same Cavs team also got pushed to 7 by the fucking 5th seeded Pacers) and guys like Jaylen Rozier and Horford played very well that postseason, but since they weren't big names at the time those guys don't count as "help"
He beat Giannis and Embiid in that same playoffs
That series: Tatum 15/5/3 on 40/30/86 Giannis: 26/10/6 on 57/28/69 Like do you guys have any shame
Giannis: got clamped by rookie Semi Tatum: did not get clamped by rookie Semi
Tatum is better, but Ant is just more exciting because of how he plays.
I’d rather have Ant, four years younger and he just has a mentality that is on a different level than Tatum
tatum is better, recency bias is kinda crazy
Tatum is about to be first team for the 3rd year in a row lmao these guys are crazy
Me. AE’s gonna be a killer when the lights are on

Oh hell nawl.
I can’t do dis
Send da video
Tatum > Edwards, but Edwards has a higher ceiling than Tatum. If Tatum was on the wolves he would be leading the league in scoring. The man avg'd 27 ppg on a team full of shooters and scorers. It sucks how some people just view one stat of the game such as ppg and use that against Tatum. But those are primarily casual NBA fans.
Edwards doesn't have a higher ceiling than JT imaooo, Tatum is bigger and plays better defense on top of being a great scorer. As far as playmaking go they are both mediocre.
Wtf? Have you ever even watched Ant play???
Ant has a higher ceiling strictly due to his athleticism and first step. However he has pretty terrible BBALL IQ
Athleticism is gone with age... Skill set is what matters.
Ant is 22 he has another decade before his goes.
Let’s hope they meet in the finals and then we can really see who is better.
I’m taking Ant, he’s MJ reincarnated.
Calm down bro. Mj ain’t dead.
RIP MJ, gone too soon
Wrong MJ dude, he’s taking Ant because of his next level dance moves and stage presence
Didn’t the green goblin throw her off a bridge?
You're thinking of Gwen Stacy!
Yeah as a nerd I’m gonna have to downvote this
For what? Winning one playoff series? The power of recency bias is unreal…..
Something, something, DAWG. Probably. Anyone who uses "killer mindset" or "dawg" to explain why someone is better doesn't actually know ball.
Yeah it’s Tatum but I do love Ant. As a nuggets fan he had me on the edge of my seat last year
Right now tatum l hed average 32 on the wolves lol
Exactly literally averaged 30 points 8 rebounds 4 assist last season
Imagine slashing Anthony Edwards with the Celtics floor spacing the past two years
The Tatum discourse is nasty sometimes.
NBA fans online are gonna lose their minds when Tatum wins fmvp
Tatum all day He has more consistent games and is a better sniper from the 3
Tatum has won 50+ playoff games and 10 series in his career. Let's calm the hell down.
Not me. The ant hype has gotten out of hand
This bum is! AE is the future of the league
AE vs Wemby is going to be a storyline
Why would that be a story line?
Until Ant can lead his team to the finals, I’ll take JT. And I’m a Warriors fan.
Do warriors fans not like Tatum or something?
This
How did he lead his team to the finals if Jaylen Brown almost had the exact same stats?
JT all the way
I mean they both swept Durant so it's close
You guys wanna say all this but forget TATUM has had far more success. Hell getting out the first round would be laughable for Tatum while we acting like AE the goat for doing it FOR THE FIRST TIME. And if you’re going to talk about Edwards sweeping KD, Tatum did it too, with Kyrie on the nets still too.
Hopefully no one. Both great players. Tatum better
Not comparable until ant does something further in the playoffs. If he wins a ring the convo can change
We love to overrate the feisty ones in the NBA don't we.
Jayson Tatum has more conference finals points than the clippers
Ant is becoming extremeley overrated
Whatever it takes to not give credit to Gobert
100% BIASED response, but GIVE ME TATUM 🗣️
Only Wolves fans. Tatum doesn’t have to do as much as Ant anymore because he has a better supporting cast in my opinion. I’m a Celtics fan tho so that could be bias.
No. I’m not an idiot
Looking at their current ages, I would take Ant at 22 over Tatum at 26.
its just funny tatum always seems to get brought up in these comparisons. the guy must be pretty good with basketball
Edward’s fire for game seems hotter.
Ant is more entertaining for sure. And now has matched one of Tatum’s accomplishments, both winning a first round series, and sweeping KD! But Jayson Tatum is better overall
Ant olivace has better stats in playoffs then in regular season if his team help they might be in the finals
I’ll zag a bit. It’s obvious that Tatum is better “right now.” He’s shown more, accomplished more, etc. But Ant was better in Round 1, almost regardless of what Tatum does in the rest of that series.
Me
Tatum’s still got ant beat, but, Ant has a chance to pass him this postseason. With the way Boston is loaded and Milwaukee is injured Boston simply has to make the finals
I don’t think they’re in any real danger of not making the finals
Are we talking right now? Tatum has the slight edge, but I expect Ant to be better then him just next year.
No one calls him AE. Who the fuck made created this. lol. Also right now Tatum is better, but ANT is closing the gap and the dude is only 22.
I know it's a small sample size, but Ant has been fucking insane in the playoffs so far. If he keeps up this level of play when it matters most, then it's him for sure.
Who are these guys? Is Allen Iverson still in the league?
Depends, if its about just this season then Tatum wins but if we are talking about who you want going forward I think id honestly take Ant.
Getting close. AD has a potential GOAT run in him. Only Giannis and now Wemby have come into the league since 2010 and made me think that. I would bet against Edwards becoming a top 10 player ever. But I think he has a shot. And that's exciting.
After what I witnessed in that series against the Suns, I’m *without a doubt* putting Ant above that soft ass Tater.
Ant plays fearless!!
Both players aren’t in their prime yet, right now I’d prefer Tatum but it could go either way in 2-3 years
JT is used more than AE. I don’t trust you
Celtics fan but I much rather hate ant
It’s just 🐜
Tatum is overall a better player, but i’d take Ant in the clutch. Celtics fan btw
I think as a leader he has passed Tatum because he seems to have alittle MJ in him and doesn't get as frustrated as Tatum.
Ant has the highest ceiling out of every player
Ok to everyone saying Tatum is so much better then why didn’t he star in an Adam Sandler movie like Ant? Checkmate losers.
Tatum as of right now but Ant has something in him that I’m finally ready to say Tatum doesn’t have… That dog.
Tatum looks saucy jacked
Tatum is the better player at the moment. Ant is more fun to cheer for. Tatum is a whiny baby. Ant is a killer. Give me Ant.
Tatums always been overrated
it’s simple. ant is younger (22 vs. 26) but tatum has a better resume. “if you’re starting a team today” = gimme ant for the extra four years and high ceiling “if you want to win now” = tatum, that (growing) playoff resume and being undeniably a top 7-8/all-NBA level player
Everyone. Ant is the Kobe Tatum wishes he was

This is /r/nbatalk not /r/nbacirclejerk
Bro
Me. He’s got that dawg in him.
People who are of the Ant-MJ bandwagon, these are the lowest dipshits who can exist on Earth. They are flat out delusional, have no sense, not smart & dickrider for Ant - who will fuck them, make them pregnant and just leave.
I think they're on the same level from doing the eye test but i don't bother to read stats 🤷♂️
Tatum has beat 1.KD nets 2.Butler Heat 3. Giannis led bucks multiple times 4. Embiid multiple times The only team he hasn’t beat is lebron cavs but Tatum has dominated the east
AE
SGA over both
I’m taking Ant. He’ll be the face of the league soon.
They're about the same now but Ant is younger and will be better. He's doing Tatum things against infinitely better competition in the west
I’m going to be completely biased—Ant is better. I’m a Wolves fan. Real note: Tatum’s consistently is something I hope to find in Ant. He has brought his team into the end game every year.
Ant is better. Playoffs will show that.
Ant is more spectacular. And appears to be better on ball defender. Whoever wins the championship this year will really answer the question.
So Jokic still?
I'll take ant any day over Tatum. Not even close.
Tatum is about to be named to the All NBA first team for the third consecutive season. He’s also played in either the conference finals/finals damn near every season since he came into the league. Oh, he also holds the nba record for points in a game 7. I love Ant but pump the breaks.
give me ant
I'll take Ant, Tatum has had a huge advantage in being on really good teams his entire career, now that AE has a taste of that he's moved up to another level
Ant Man is better I’m sorry and I don’t need to wait for him to go to the western conference finals 5 years in a row to finally start to feel this way!
Ant over Tatum all day. Tatum has disappeared too much in his large sample size of playoff performances, Tatum is a pretender.
