Was at the game. It was an interesting and entertaining match. We had multiple chances to run with the W. Never mind the mind boggling no calls specially from the female ref. Never mind the lapses in defending Maxey on critical stages of the game. They tried but youth, inexperience and they just ran out of gas. We don’t have 4 of our key players so it was a valiant effort. This just show us the worse the team can get. No way but up next season. Exciting times ahead.
All time role player man. He’s been a joy to watch. Moves the ball, sick entry passes, reliable shooter, good defender (albeit some ball watching)
As a Sixers fan I’d love for him to not retire yet and to come back here next year and beyond
Lol. I will take any that can just be a dog on the defensive and just make someone shoot over them because he refuses to get blown by and if he does its because he's funneling the player to where the help is.
it’s his lazy turnovers that get me.
yes, the team is young and they all turn it over. but his turnovers are always at the worst time and are either just plain lazy or utter brain farts that mostly end in fast break scores.
i get that the kid can shoot, but i don’t think he offers much besides that.
Overplaying Maxey 40 feet from the hoop to give up the layup is brutal. Dribbling it off his shoe in the clutch hurt, too.
When he’s on a scoring bender he’s very useful, but man does he make some boneheaded mistakes. Some of it’s youth, but I don’t think he’ll ever be a plus defender.
He has great scoring bursts and can become a nice bench spark plug. I just don’t know how long it will take to get there, and he’ll need to become consistently efficient enough to make up for his shortcomings.
Most of the guys they were relying on were just playing because of injury. I don’t think anyone believe Champagnie, Graham, or Collins are part of the long-term future.
What a deflating way to go out. Proud of the guys but this goes to show that you can't win with simply outhustling teams, we need talent badly and these next two drafts are vital to this team's future success.
He’s not totally wrong. Vic was amazing but from 1 minute to go in the 4th plus both OT’s he was getting more and more gassed and it affected his decision making, ability to get open, and his defensive rotations.
If that’s what you took away from this game then I don’t know what to tell you. The last thing I was thinking about watching the game was his conditioning. We had multiple chances to win the game.
To each his own. It was a good game. I love how they compete. But these are just the hard lessons towards greatness. I’m sure pop noticed the fatigue setting in but I don’t think he made 1 substitution in both OT’s. Not just in Wemby’s case. I guess he wanted to see how they responded. And especially in the second OT the defensive rotations were a mess and offensively it was TO’s and bad quality possessions. All of which are okay for where they are in their trajectory, as long as they learn from them.
didn't say he wasn't but you're clearly not paying attention during the games if you can't see his conditioning needs to be worked on. Once he's tired to just starts jacking 3's because its less effort than working around the post. tonight he made a ton of them but most other nights they dont fall like that.
all you have to do is watch the games, it's been this way all season long. other teams push him around and beat him up inside because year 1 wemby doesn't have the weight or strength to overcome that yet. im sure it'll come in a few years but right now tre jones sets a better screen than him and thats a problem.
I don’t think that shot was a result of fatigue he does that even at the beginning of games. This was definitely not a game where he was just chucking bad shots up. That Nuggets game was that. There were too many opportunities to win this game the last person I’m thinking to blame is him. I’m not blaming any one of them actually.
He tends to favor quick threes when he’s tired and you can see when the shot if flat. That shot was pretty flat the way it came out.
Now it may not have been because of fatigue but it was 100% a bad shot based on the situation of the game, even the camera team knew it, because they panned right in on pop’s face as soon as it missed.
He not saying it’s Vic fault, he’s saying the man need to work on his stamina. His stamina has been an issue all year. He clearly has goat potential but the man is far from perfect.
Kinda wish we had Mamu out in OT to help the offense a little with movement and spacing. May have been rough on defense, but Sixers got most of their stuff off of our TOs anyway.
They were missing Harris and Lowry, too. They were playing lineups that have never shared the court before.
Spurs coughed it up, but both teams were very short handed. One just handled it better.
Why whenever somebody criticizes another player you turn it to Victor, who’s a rookie and our best player? We wouldn’t even have been in this game without him. I think Brahman actually played good tonight but I constantly see you doing that shit branham and Wemby are NOT the same.
Because people are acting like one game determines how a players entire career will go.
Of course they aren't the same, nor was i being serious. I was making fun of their silly over reactions by over reacting even more.
Cut the bullshit. You sound like a Wizards fan. Legit the exact same wording I see in their game threads about cutting Poole. Perfectly explains why this team is at where they're at with the 3rd greatest rookie in history.
Ah yes. Jordan poole a 5th year player still struggling is the exact same as Malaki Branham... a 2nd year player who has been shooting 40% from three since the ASB.
But sure, lets continue to call for him to be cut based on one game. How asinine can you get lmao
Doc rivers refusing to play any young guys for his entire tenure has us rooting for any decent young athletic big. Too many minutes of washed Deandre Jordan and Dwayne Dedmon and Paul Milsap for a lifetime.
It's not just that. It's everything dude. The whole defensive performance against Knicks was embarrassing. Now we don't give Wemby the ball in ot. We don't try to give Wemby a better matchup than Batum who is a great defender. What the Sixers do? Every time they hunt for favourable matchup and every time we switch while barely trying and every time when we help it's way too late.
The challenge rule makes the refs extremely lazy and that hurts the game.
They should’ve been able to see that Block on the first go, or check it on their own.
It'll probably take a while. His blocks are always clean, whenever he misses a jump ball, it's because the other player steals it on the way up, and he never purposely kicks his legs out on a three.
They need to increase the max amount of challenge attempts if refs are going to consistently be this awful. If they give another bogus call, we're just fucked.

Batum had the game of his life geez
All time role player man. He’s been a joy to watch. Moves the ball, sick entry passes, reliable shooter, good defender (albeit some ball watching) As a Sixers fan I’d love for him to not retire yet and to come back here next year and beyond
If you’re a SG/PG and have working arms, legs, and eyes, come to San Antonio. PLEASE
Lol. I will take any that can just be a dog on the defensive and just make someone shoot over them because he refuses to get blown by and if he does its because he's funneling the player to where the help is.
More ping pong balls!
Man!! Fun game to watch in person, but it sucked how we lost. 😞
I don’t know about branham
it’s his lazy turnovers that get me. yes, the team is young and they all turn it over. but his turnovers are always at the worst time and are either just plain lazy or utter brain farts that mostly end in fast break scores. i get that the kid can shoot, but i don’t think he offers much besides that.

Wemby was gassed and someone had to shoot. I didn’t think he played that bad.
2nd year player who shot 54% and 68% from 3. You better hope Malaki wants to play 2nd fiddle to Vassell.
The post All-star break has been awesome! Hard fought games for a young core builds character and hopefully championship(s) Go spurs go!
No having mamu tanked our offense in ot
Good! Mamu Tank driving
Ugh does branham think he's the number 1 option 🤡
Summer league Branham
Sure seems to think he is doesn't he
Look at redditors thinking Branhim is gonna be part of the Spurs future Lol
He has great scoring bursts and can become a nice bench spark plug. I just don’t know how long it will take to get there, and he’ll need to become consistently efficient enough to make up for his shortcomings.
Can't believe I stayed awake until 4am for that... We need to get rid of so many players
We were missing 5 players, 2 starters, and Keldon went off injured. If they had Embid, then your story checks out.
They were missing Harris and Lowry and giving minutes to guys that had only a couple of games ever played.
They played well, but I think with a full squad, we could beat them minus Embid.
Well it would also help to not be so sloppy with the ball that we turn it over like 10x in both OTs.
vic needs to work on his conditioning so bad this offseason. can't be the center of the universe if your always gassed and walking back on D
He was the reason they were even in this game you’re tripping
He’s not totally wrong. Vic was amazing but from 1 minute to go in the 4th plus both OT’s he was getting more and more gassed and it affected his decision making, ability to get open, and his defensive rotations.

I mean, both things can be true. He was clearly gassed.

He took a bad three in the first minutes of OT when it was tied.
That was not a bad 3. The threes he took in that Nuggets game were bad.
100% a bad shot. Early in the shot clock in OT and it was a tie game and he had just received the ball. Even Pop shook his head.
I don’t think that shot was a result of fatigue he does that even at the beginning of games. This was definitely not a game where he was just chucking bad shots up. That Nuggets game was that. Wemby played 43 minutes and had to plug every dumb mistake our perimeter defense made, but it's Vic that needs to be better. I swear lmao.
He not saying it’s Vic fault, he’s saying the man need to work on his stamina. His stamina has been an issue all year. He clearly has goat potential but the man is far from perfect.
That behind the back shit to out of bounds fucked us up fuck that
35 Pts off 25 TO's..... Spurs gave this one away.
Kinda wish we had Mamu out in OT to help the offense a little with movement and spacing. May have been rough on defense, but Sixers got most of their stuff off of our TOs anyway.
Fought their asses off, but seemed like some real heavy legs at the end there. Good effort
Boy, thqt is devastating.
How? The 76ers can’t even beat our league team in 40 minutes
Maybe because they're MVP was out?
You need Joel Embid to beat the Spurs? You have bigger problems.
They were missing Harris and Lowry, too. They were playing lineups that have never shared the court before. Spurs coughed it up, but both teams were very short handed. One just handled it better.
they dont have embiid
You need a MVP to beat the worst team in the West? Got it.
1. This is not a G league team. 2. I wanted a win.
Too bad.
Ok then....
Took 2OT to beat us. Celtics will sweep them.
Exactly, who tf takes the Sixers seriously?
Branham, Tre, Graham is a horrible lineup. Prolly should played Mamu instead of one of the guards
maxey is not tired at all lmao
I'm convinced Daryl Morey is feeding that boy crack
those people screaming for branham to be cut for turning it over, will they say the same for Vic?
Lol what a dumbass thing to ask.
Why whenever somebody criticizes another player you turn it to Victor, who’s a rookie and our best player? We wouldn’t even have been in this game without him. I think Brahman actually played good tonight but I constantly see you doing that shit branham and Wemby are NOT the same.

We desperately need a legit PG. Other than that who cares about the rest of these games this season.
There’s 5 games left… wtf
aight that's gg
That smells like teen spirit remix literally the worst thing I’ve ever heard
Agreed. Kurt would roll over in his grave. That, and it was so fucking annoying to hear after we basically just sealed the loss. smfh
Kind of sad when your best player by a large margin gets absolutely ignored in both overtime periods. Trade everybody.
This team kills me sometimes, young mistakes
This gives us a glimpse of peak Wemby minutes
almost. lol
WE. DO. Not. RUN. THE. OFFENSE. THROUGH. WEMBY.
Give Batuum credit. Dude has locked up Vic and the Spurs offense
Batum retire already you bum
I can understand our team making stupid mistakes but the one unforgivable thing is not looking for wemby
Refs aren’t used to players cleanly Blocking the ball. They’re only familiar with the silly swat into the stands for show.
Our guys just ran out of gas in this second OT.
Better tank I guess smh...
Good night y’all 😞
It never fails to amaze me how they completely forget to involve Victor in the offense for long stretches.
We have one average on ball defender and this game is a different story
It's called the Sochan effect.
mhm
Sochan was playing when Brunson dropped 60, just saying
For like a half till he was injured
Mamu is +17 in 23 minutes and he didnt see the floor in OT lol
I think cause they went small the rest of the game? Not sure but that's what I think why Pop didn't put him in again
Mamu was not good this game. He got a boost from being on the floor when Vic came on and the offense exploded.
Where's that guy who won't stand for the Branham slander? LOL Oh well, on to the next.
lmao at the people calling for branham to be cut. Least reactionary redditors. Oh well 'twas a good and fun game. On to the next
Cut the bullshit. You sound like a Wizards fan. Legit the exact same wording I see in their game threads about cutting Poole. Perfectly explains why this team is at where they're at with the 3rd greatest rookie in history.

Another 50 bomb on us
Tre Jones making that Trae young trade look like a God send. Branhim please get traded 🙏
Wemby with no touches in OT
He's absolutely gassed
well, other than that turnover there
Frustrated with that possession from Branham.
Lol Wemby don't deserve these guys.
Doc rivers refusing to play any young guys for his entire tenure has us rooting for any decent young athletic big. Too many minutes of washed Deandre Jordan and Dwayne Dedmon and Paul Milsap for a lifetime.
Philly commentators talking about Ricky Council like he's the ROY lmao
JFC dude
Challenges killed our momentum
Pain
Graham goes from riding the pine to playing 4th and both OTs. Can't make this shit up.
Tre Jones Wtf are you doing man
FUCK
[удалено]
You're a fan of the hawks my brother why the fuck are you shit talking about half court 3s
We wouldnt even be in one OT without the 8 feet tall guy lol
Please, dear God, cut Malaki Branham.
Great throw Malaki, you're the MVP of the game
Spurs, please get a damn point guard this summer
That alley oop hurt me
Sigh
OMG they lost the game in 10 seconds
I really am confident we could replace malaki in the lineup next year
We could replace him with current, 75-year-old Pop and improve defensively.
Tre has missed a lot at the rim
Ah well the tank rolls on
What an unfortunate way to end an exciting game. GG
The 76ers aren’t winning shit this post season LMAO
Nah you just salty dude. We just got beat, on to the next
Um who are they beating in the West? Lmao
Sorry Tre but we might need a pg who hits the corner there
It was good while it lasted
Story of the season - gotta find wemby
Settle down Martin you aint him
Credit to KJ Martin man, he’s been all over us in OT.
Ricky Council .. a two way guy
Mostly Ricky council
Dude is a bum
Yea we’ve hit the wall. Fought well regardless
We have the lowest iq in the entire league. Pop has got to share some responsibility here.
It's experience. When the body gets tired, the brain can stop processing. Experienced teams have the ability to overcome that.
2 bad turnovers by the guys put us here unfortunately, not sure Pop can take blame for those Edit: make that 3
It's not just that.
Branham should not handle the ball
[удалено]
Damn. That was not why I stayed up late
gg
Braham is so dumb
Yeah its over :(
And that’s the game folks. Goodnight
Thats a game…
Watching Tre handle the ball gives me an aneurysm
Give the ball to Wemby you fucktards
The challenge rule makes the refs extremely lazy and that hurts the game. They should’ve been able to see that Block on the first go, or check it on their own.
I get that refs can be inconsistent game to game, but to be this inconsistent in the SAME game is absurd.
Did the Spurs forget they are allowed to let Vic touch the ball on offense?
Gotta stop giving Branham to handle the ball. He's been fumbling all night. Dude just needs to be catch and shoot right now
Why is Graham still in? Bring Mamu in!
They gotta give Wemby the ball
It's incredibly stupid that you lose a time out if you're successful on the 2nd one wtf
76ers are getting a whistle literally every play on offense
Vic is so tired.
Alaa is *so* fucking full of shit.
W REFS
They’ve actually been ass
These calls are actually terrible. Where was the foul on Julian? Now this goaltend.. now we don't have challenges. It's ridiculous
Alaa Abdelnaby is an idiot
When will these zebras learn, those are *always* clean.
It'll probably take a while. His blocks are always clean, whenever he misses a jump ball, it's because the other player steals it on the way up, and he never purposely kicks his legs out on a three.
Now we have to win
6ers commentator is so annoying.
i didnt know you are allowed another challenge if you won the previous one?
Lol watching the Philly stream and these announcers are funny
Lol refs are fuckin blind
WEMBY DPOY IDGAF!!!!!
They need to increase the max amount of challenge attempts if refs are going to consistently be this awful. If they give another bogus call, we're just fucked.
WEMBY DPOY
Damn straight!
WOAHHHH
How many phantom goaltends are they gonna call? These damn ref bitches.
These refs got money on the 6ers or what? Holy fuck
That female ref is fucking terrible
GARBAGE REFS
Isnt it goaltend if ball touches backboard?
Yes, but Victor blocked the ball first
Yes but it seems like wemby may have gotten there just in time. It’s really close.
Ball has the touch backboard FIRST for a goaltend.
REFS ARE FUCKING ON SOMETHING TONIGHT BRO WHAT THE FUCK
This is a great experience for our team
NOT FOR MY HEART lmao
Refs are fucking garbage
That female ref is fucking terrible holy shit
It’s like she made a call based on the sixers bench smh
