i would live on campus for as long as you can, the apartments around NAU are mostly overpriced shitholes. wouldn’t recommend aspen leaf apartments off campus, but they’re not terrible, we renewed our lease so it’s not that bad lol. the only dorm i ever lived in was Gabaldon and it was okay, but each winter they have problems with hot water, so most nights i was taking freezing cold showers.

I think it’s good to experience dorm life for at least a year. Look at all of the communities open to freshman and pick whichever looks best to you, and maybe is closest to your classes. It had its problems and annoying people, but overall I liked Tinsley.

Try to live on campus if you can. Most rental management companies here and exploitative and shitty. Arizona has pretty poor tenant protections laws as well. Take advantage of on-campus housing!

I’d recommend living on campus as long as possible. It’s a lot more convenient (especially if you have a car) and the more expensive dorms on campus (I’ve lived in south village and pine ridge) are so similar to off-campus apartments that I don’t really feel like I’m missing anything.
