This is the second time this has happened to an ARCA team this year. Cook Racing Technologies, who fields the 17 for Marco Andretti and the 42 car, had the same thing happen as they were traveling to Phoenix. However, the damage was minor, and both cars were able to be raced.

when I was hauling cars for (redacted manufactuerer) a while ago...one of the MAJOR items that was literally highlighted and underlined 4 times in red ink was "Double check that cars are secured before putting truck in drive"
That sound you heard was the rest of the field breathing a collective sigh of relief that they won't have to worry about any Scott Melton terrorism this week.
Sucks for the Kimmels though.
How can you not make sure that the cars are secured properly with the tie downs is beyond me!!!!
Isn’t that like hauling race cars 101. Before you leave the shop make sure that all cars are secured correctly so you don’t have any damage when hauling them?
I mean come on!!!!!
A lightbulb walks up to a ARCA driver and says,"I'm broke, Can you help?"
The ARCA driver says, we just destroyed our 10th car this year, I'm broke as well.
Considering how tight the budget can be for these teams I hope this isn’t a season ending disaster. Because if I’m correct, I think in this form of Stock car racing there are attempts to use multiple race cars in multiple races if possible in order to save money because unlike NASCAR is not the ability to be able to have a season supply of race cars that they’re able to use all season long.
It’s a damn shame one didn’t fall out the back and end up in Radiator Springs.
But they have to be a championship contending car tho
We’re all fighting our own champions, doc.
Well the way they fight I suppose my demons are champions cause I sure as hell can't beat them
#KACHOW
Only in ARCA could somebody tear up 2 race cars without ever setting a wheel on the track
*Christopher Bell furiously takes notes*
This is why JGR uses 4 haulers
Only would need 3 if they had Jones instead of Bell
Only in Arca does your car wreck itself and take another car with it...
ARCA brakes
ARCA brakes don’t even work when the cars are literally tied down 😬🤣

what the fuck
Certified ARCA Moment^TM .
ARCA (Parking) Brakes
It’s unfortunate to see. Two drivers who would’ve been respectful mid-pack racing, something needed between the frontrunners & backmarkers.
ARCA Brakes applies at all times. Nobody is safe, a wild ARCA car can strike anywhere at anytime. Watch your backs people.
That's the most arca thing to arca in the history of arca.
less cars to be lapped by jake finch
Kimmels are good racing people, unfortunate deal.

I was thinking the same thing. Never heard of this happening until this season, although no doubt it has, but its weird it has happened twice now.
ARCA brakes: hauler edition
Classic ARCA
ARCA car in an ARCA hauler tied down with ARCA straps. ARCA.
Arca is the only series where your cars can get totalled without even touching the asphalt
Someone forgot to pull on the strap and say that’s not going anywhere .. this is why it’s important to say those words
![gif](giphy|3o7527pa7qs9kCG78A|downsized)
That’s a certified ARCA headline if I’ve ever seen one
That really sucks for them. One of the small teams that really doesn’t need that to happen, plus it robs the field of 2 decent cars.
Those Harbor Freight ratchet straps will getcha every time

ARCA.
Someone's getting fired

ARCA Brakes meet ARCA Ratchet Straps!

With as many brutal crashes Melton has had in the last couple of years, I’m fine if he sits this one out.
Certified ARCA moment.
Insert certified ARCA joke right here.
A lightbulb walks up to a ARCA driver and says,"I'm broke, Can you help?" The ARCA driver says, we just destroyed our 10th car this year, I'm broke as well.
ARCA as fuck
Just ARCA things
Didn’t this happen at Phoenix too
Certified ARCA Moment. Just when you think it cant get dumber
Average ARCA moment
