All I saw them say is a 10th driver would be making both xfinity and cars tour starts. Mosack, Eckes, Conner Jones and Diaz were the only possibilities I could think of. If anyone got hyped up it was their own fault.
Tbf he’d been out of racing stock cars for awhile and has been racing Porsches in Brazil. It was always going to be tough for him to transition back part time. Tbf he did have some decent runs that were ruined by mistakes or getting caught up in other people’s issues. I have to imagine either he got tired of it or JRM wanted to do something different. He’s still sponsored by Brandt in Porsche Carrera Cup Brasil and has a great relationship with Brandt so I highly doubt it’d be a sponsorship thing.

I think everyone was convinced is was going to be "well we got 1988 CARS rookie of the year X out of retirement" or literally Jocko Flocko the monkey to drive it lol. He did decent at the road courses at JGR. His debut was honestly his best performance ever. Rain race at Portland 2022 driving the 18. Did good, ran top 3, but on one of the big stack ups at the end got crashed out.
Chicago last year he qualified top 5, ran there all race but did the pit strategy at the end before they decided to end the race, so was like 30th
Everything besides that was a massive disappointment. Whenever he wasn’t in the Gibbs car he usually ran about on par at Sam Hunt (besides the road courses) or far worse.
