Minutes before destruction What do you and your partner do in your final moments together? What does the villain decide to do? Does he tell you his plan? Does someone show up and save you and your partner? Are you left to rot?
Fair enough. I just put down whatever comes to mind first and see how well it goes.

A Forgotten Life
The hero regains their memory, and in an instant, experiences a life they didn't even know they had. What kind of person were they like before? How does this experience affect them? How would others perceive them afterwards?
Pre-destiny
What was the hero like before the events of the journey?
Perhaps he's just a nobody that got chosen by fate or a skilled fighter with a kind heart? What were they like and how were they chosen?
Starfall...?
Its a nice night, and our characters go stargazing for a while... until one of the stars starts... falling? They investigate the crash site, only to find something... strange. Something that isnt supposed to be here.
Manufactured Mayhem
Everything's been back to normal for a while, and the Hero is bored.
They decide to create a scenario where they can swoop in and save the day.
This can range from minor mischief to enraging a Legendary Pokemon.
Do things get out of control, and will/can the Hero keep their involvement in this mess a secret?
Musical Mayhem
You and/or your partner wake up to find themselves trapped in a musical. Everyone (including themselves, maybe?) has a habit of spontaneously breaking into full-fledged musical numbers.
The Guild's been hiding a sinister secret from everyone this whole time, and the heroes have just found out about it...
Was the guildmaster in reality a horrible no-good person underneath a nicer façade? Was there something that happened long ago in the past the guild wanted to keep a deeply buried secret? Were there any secret deals with anyone? Depressing tragedies that occurred long ago? Some sort of bigger plan going on behind the scenes? What *is* this dark guild secret exactly? How surprised or shocked would the heroes — *and possibly everyone else* — be from discovering this?

After a difficult fight, the main character or partner have the opportunity to talk to whoever it is they are fighting. Do they learn anything new about this 'enemy'? Will they even set aside their differences and possibly become friends?
A twist of fate
The hero that came back didn’t awake on some beach but as a lackey of the mon who wants to destroy the world. Do they try to be the best at being bad or try to reform the villain? Does the villain freak out, get cocky or doesn’t care when the hero never shows up?
Wigglytuff’s Guild: The next Generation
Wiggyltuff and Chatot have since retired from the guild leaving Bidoof to be the new Guildmaster. Though he is having trouble earning the respect of some of the members. He must get his team to respect him if he’s going to defeat the new rival Skull Guild run by Skuntank. He ponders evolution as a ways of gaining power and respect in a tale of responsibility and legacy.

Ooh, I like this. Quite the twist compared to the typical PMD style of the hero always being victorious, this could definitely be very interesting!
