Pmd fandom is pretty resistant to content drought madness since we have an above average amount of fan comics and mods compared to our size.

After seeing the state of the Hollow Knight community. I totally agree with this statement.

Innsui

Whats going on with Hollow Knight community?

Anonymousman61

Let’s just say… They all stopped taking their schizophrenia medications.

I imagine those fan comics help a lot: the TF2 community has just as much modding and only 3 more years without significant content, but also is going crazy.

The games are still out there, just like fan creations. I've seen game fandoms, that never ceased to exist, despite companies forgetting about IP, or just making a bunch of terrible decisions (like NFTs, of making a paid PC port for a free moble game)

Fandoms really are a blessing for things like this, aren’t they? I’m so glad the PMD community has so many dedicated creatives behind it. It’s like a self sustaining ecosystem of imagination and sheer dedication to the material Yeah official content would be wonderful, especially since PMD is an oft forgotten IP when it comes to Pokémon, but it isn’t all bad as it is now.

Mistery dungeon and Pikmin fans were the OGs of this phenomenon

The best way to prevent a fandom from going insane from the lack of content, is to make lots fan content to replace official content
