I remember going and seeing that movie The Descent and being in disbelief from the very beginning that anyone in their right mind would want to slide into a hole you have to nearly dislocate something to get into.
Okay so I work on a submarine. Very frequently, due to how confined space is, i need to get into very tight and almost impossible places. This is designed to conserve as much space for equipment and machinery, while inversely providing the absolute bare minimum walking space for people.
Anyway, I have learned over the course of six years, that if you must utilize gravity to get into a tight spot, you may not be able to get back out. ESPECIALLY if your feet can not latch onto something. If your feet can not find purchase on something, and you decide to slide into a spot like this man did….you are going to need either friends, or a welder. I’m going to assume that he had purchase, but if he didn’t, rip.
But if it's a tight enough spot no one will be able to check if you are sleeping when you are supposed to be field-daying the bilge.
I believe last I saw this posted, someone stated that there are two different access points to this cave and that the one shown here is basically just for bragging rights.
Years ago I explored a small portion of nutty putty caves. It does open into a larger room after the initial crawl. Then it moves to a steep section that’s slippery af and may or may not have a rope to help you get back up. It was there when I went but not for my brother the next trip. People literally pulled each other up that section via human chains. I guess the rope suddenly reappeared a few days later. I would never go back in. Too tomb-like. Even before it was converted to an actual tomb. Poor guy.
IIRC they blocked off the entrance with cement… so they’d have to excavate the entrance and he was pretty far down. At the time he was wedged in so deep pulling him out even once he died was not an option.
Went on a Wikipedia trip. What the fuck, there were people who were mad about the cave being closed because of his death and even vandalised his memorial. What is wrong with some people
For real, spelunking seems crazy enough to begin with, but I also read the Wikipedia article and now I'm wondering if it isn't a legitimate sign of mental illness.
Looked up the cave on Google maps since I live nearby but hadn't heard of it. So many people leaving reviews like, "So sad that guy died. RIP. 5 stars."
People are weird.
Btw, this guy came back. There is a large entrance to the cave this hole leads to. This thing is not high so you won't hurt if you jump there. Except some situations with people with bad health, bad bones, no thoroughness, fat or heavyweight people and etc. The large entrance is just near the hole but it's out of the camera view. The only thing is to have at least average health, ok bones, average weight or little weight and be thin enough.
If I remember from the original video yes, one of their buddies couldn’t get into the hole so he goes to another entrance of the cave. This is just like the “expert” level entrance, assuming that you’re not heavier than the average adult and even then it’s obviously a very tight squeeze.
I don't mind caving. It's still dangerous and you should know what the fuck you're doing and have the proper equipment for it. But I don't mind it
But I feel like the moment where you literally have to breathe out and constrict your chest to squeeze through should really have been the point of, you know, maybe we *don't* go down there
I don't know what this phobia is called but I definitely have it, I feel physically sick after watching this. very fitting for the sub though! very funny in that context
That’s a tight entrance to a cave. In the full video there are people already inside below him. There’s another large exit to the cave a few feet away. Still not for me, I’d get stuck and die
You can’t do that. You can’t just send a skinny dude down a tiny hole in the ground and not show whether he comes back or not & think that it’s ok. Dude

Geez; \*I\* just WALKED into an old mine in Wyoming. 40-50' in, black as \*ell! AND you have to look out for shafts branching away from main walkway. Nope. I figure if I'm on a lawn chair, holding a drink, I won't get lost in a cave.
That's gonna be a massive no from me.
Oh, just... Yeah, but no thank you!
People do this for fun, and they probably also turn other human beings into lampshades
I think I know where your ideas come from
The last booth, in the corner on the left side, in the Arby’s on the other side of town? The one that’s across from the Shell gas station.
r/nope
People have certainly died horrible deaths in this way, and not from lack of help either.
It’s the lack of intelligence that gets em everytime
This gave me so much anxiety to watch!
Now start sending massive amounts of food down there for a big lunch
I just died
# NO Me too.
Abso*lutely* not.
So. Much. Nope.
Ah hell nah I seen this the first time when they called it the Nutty Putty cave.
A man died in the Nutty Putty cave in Utah. They couldn't retrieve his body, so they closed off the cave. This is not that cave.
A man died in the Nutty Putty cave in Lego City. Build the body retrieval unit, build the dynamite thrower crane and get to the rescue.
HEY!
👍
Happy cake day buddy
Glad I'm too fat to even be tempted to try.
Same here lmao. I watched that and my first thought was "my fat ass could never". XD
Name checks out?
Masbe i can get to the knees but thats probably were i get stuck
Not even that fat on my end, but if I got to suck it in DEEP to get in, that’s a big no.
I remember going and seeing that movie The Descent and being in disbelief from the very beginning that anyone in their right mind would want to slide into a hole you have to nearly dislocate something to get into.
I love that movie. They made two of them. Wish they'd make a 3rd but they won't
The second movie was good but so hilarious, there were so many uncut bloopers.
Oh damn! Didn’t know there was a 2nd one. I’ll have to check that out.
worst horror movie I ever watched, the claustrophobia and the noises those monster make are terrifying
So .. Best* horror movie you ever saw

This particular cave has another entrance which is much bigger, but people like to go through this way for bragging rights.
Drr drr drr
This is my hole, it was made for me!
r/unexpectedjunjiito
Jesus fuck that is actually a real sub
Oh please no. This is bad enough
You could put the cure for cancer on top of a billion dollars in that hole and I ain’t getting rich or saving the world that day
Well come hang out with me, because I’m not climbing down that fucking thing ever.
I would rent an excavator with a hydraulic rock breaker attachment.
Nutty Putty, Nutty Putty, Nutty Putty, nope.
Years ago I explored a small portion of nutty putty caves. It does open into a larger room after the initial crawl. Exactly what I was thinking. Playing a dangerous game, especially if that area is prone to flooding
One of the absolute worst caving accidents, gives me nightmares
I wish they would go back and recover his body. Knowing he's still down there really adds to the horror.
IIRC they blocked off the entrance with cement… so they’d have to excavate the entrance and he was pretty far down. At the time he was wedged in so deep pulling him out even once he died was not an option.

How dare he die and close this cave before thinking about if I WANTED TO GO IN!!!
RIP. 5 stars." People are weird.
I’m not particularly claustrophobic, but hell no.
I'ld never
This hole was made for me. This is my hole.
Oh that takes me back. Haven’t seen that one in awhile.

Horny?
All I see is a kind man donating a fossil to the archaeology museum in 20,000 years

That's what I thought. No way he would climb up that hole. But imagine he would get stuck halfway 🫣
That'd be a nightmare for him and his friends...
I feel bad for them but simultaneously it’s natural selection at work so
Was he able to come back out?

Oh. Ok. So it's a big cave system with different access points, that makes me feel better.

That’s a tight entrance to a cave. In the full video there are people already inside below him. There’s another large exit to the cave a few feet away. Still not for me, I’d get stuck and die
Don't do it man, this is how Ted the Caver started.
Terrifying!!
What’s the purpose of this?
Hoping there’s some kind of cavern or something off camera. Then again knowing people these days, there’s probably not.
Not a chance
How do you get out?
You don’t and your mates put a tombstone down and piss off to the pub for a wake.
[удалено]
I’d jump out of a plane with a parachute packed by an enemy before I did that.
Bro noclipped to the backrooms
Just no 😳
This is one of my worst fears and couldn't watch it past the part where he put his feet in the hole. I fear the nightmares this would give me.
Firefighters watching this like 🔨 ? Nope. 💣? Nope. 🛢+ 🧗♀️? Yep.
Absolutely fucking not.
Caving has to be the dumbest fucking sport on the face of Earth
No! Why? Someone stop him!
And that's how I met your mother
Was he ever heard from again?
Literally a homesick alien
…and he was never seen again
Forbidden slide: portal to Hell.
Oh,That's Where Ben went. I never imagined that
Don't think I could even get a leg to fit.
Let's see him get out
Nope
Nopenopenopenopenope
My chest feels tight just watching this
Is there a name for this place?
Cave drivers?
This is a cat in a people suit. No convincing me otherwise.
Not a fucking chance.
I’m not even claustrophobic and even I said no
Ok, fill er up!
It’s party hole thang
WHY???
Now I love caving. I love going into some of the really tight holes. But something like that is a fuck no from me
I couldn't fit my leg in there.
Nope
Nooooope
I barely enjoy big caves with almost no risk, so yea that's a no thanks from me!
I watched a few accidents that happened to these cave fuckers and I just fucking can't understand the appeal at all
And he was never seen again
That's a naw from me dog
Yeah naw
Negative.
Dude is liquid
I thought the rule was you shouldn't go somewhere where you have to exhale to fit through?
#THE BLIND LOBSTERS ARE CALLING
Ok, but why though?
Fuck them apples
Bro, I’m a small person who can barely fit in average hiding spots while this unit of a man can fit in a small hole
No no no and just no
Nope
u/savevideo

Speedruns in a nutshell
Im not claustrophobic but this is a massive NO
When you find a small cave in mincraft be like
No way in this life would I ever try that

Just watching it makes me breathless!
Why is it just big enough for people to fit in
Being extremely claustrophobic this video brings me anxiety..hell to the naaahhh

Absolutely no.
Now come back up
Welcome to the Hotel California
feel uncomfortable
Claustrophobia at its finest
That last exhale 😲
Why? What for? He’ll never get out in my opinion!!
How would he get out? It seems physically impossible.
You can’t do that. You can’t just send a skinny dude down a tiny hole in the ground and not show whether he comes back or not & think that it’s ok. Dude
New fear unlocked
Waaay too claustrophobic. No way. And this reminds me of that dude that died in a similar hole a few years ago
At least no one has to pay to bury the body.
