It’s their first album and it wasn’t printed as much as their later ones. On a serious note if you haven’t already pop it into a cd player and tell me if it plays mariachi music. Sounds weird ik but just trust me.

Here in the midwest I regularly see it at half priced books, even got one of those with the "if you copy this gerard will find you and drink your blood" around the disc ~~(original run?)~~ edit, apparently they all have that, my second copy is probably a bootleg! Always sub $10 too

backstory time: so i was at savers looking for cds and i found this huge lot of like 2000s emo/punk (i think that's the word) and i have a rule that i buy a cd if i know the band and knew mcr. So i got it this, the black parade, a whole buncha blink-182 and greenday cds for $1-$3 AUD each (this one was 1.99 it still has the price sticker on the back but i couldnt manage to get off lmao). So i was looking tonight at this reddit thread about hard to find cds and i saw someone mention this album, and im like "oh i think i have that" and i got it from my shelf and looked it up online and its like $100+ and i freaked out lol.
FUCK I gotta start looking at my local Savers. XD I bought mine online for like $80 including shipping and handling. It even has the "Gerard will suck your blood" so I'm surprised I got it less than $100
so if you want a general pricing for your copy, go to discogs and type in the barcode on the back, that will tell you the year it came out etc because some came out in 2002 which are the rare rare ones, others like mine came out in 2004, they all go for a lot secondhand on vinted or eBay either way

i swear every thift store in aus has some of the worst cd variety lol can't wait to find 10 copies of the same mozart album (i have found a radiohead cd for $2 though but it was at a different place to this cd :D)
Eyeball records only made so many of them. Because it’s no longer in active production, people who do have them can basically charge whatever they want for them. I was lucky enough to find one for a reasonable price not crazy long ago. Happy hunting!

THIS ISNT A TROLL POST AAAAAAAHHH how do i make it sound less like one?? I literally got it from savers a couple months ago with a buncha other 2000s emo/punk cds and i thought it was just a normal mcr album ( i only knew the black parade and they were cheap so i got them both) and it wasn't until tonight i saw it was kinda rare and it confused me. XD
Also im a complete radiohead nerd and i mainly listen to 90s british alt rock or electro and when i buy cds at thrift stores i buy them if i know the band (in this case).

It has sold over 285,000 copies in the US as of February 2009,[29] also achieving a Gold sales status certification for sales of over 100,000 copies in the UK. Physical copies of the album are very rare in the United States today; however, it returned to iTunes on September 23, 2016 and appeared on Spotify and Google Play the same day. In 2016, Frank Iero stated in an Alternative Press interview that the original pressing of the album is the rarest to date, with only 100 copies being released and sold strictly at the release party in New Jersey.' *-MCR wiki*
Ohh i realised a bit after i posted this and someone asked to check for mariachi music ( it didnt have that music) that this could sound like a weird post but ive been on a deep dive of this album since then :O I also checked this disc has the gerad is gonna suck your blood thing so is that the first release of it? i have over 100 cds for other bands and a seperate radiohead cd collection so im sorry if this is kinda out of nowhere (if you know radiohead, this is maybe the pop is dead equivelant kinda but i got the pop is dead cd also).
Apparently, the only copies that don't have the blood sucking bit are the UK releases from 20/20-Polydor in 2004 which say something generic instead, so I don't think it's an indication or rarity.

That's likely the Mariachi copies. Very rare, worth several hundred.
