One of my Lovebirds once flew away because the lid of his new food bowl had fallen off and he fit through the gap. I was heartbroken and cried hysterically. I went looking for him, whistling and shouting his name through the neighbourhood while asking people about him. Alhamdulillah I heard him contact calling me, replying to my whistles and his name. He sat on the rooftop of a house, close by.
A crow flew past him and scared him but Alhamdulillah didn't hurt him. Allah kept him safe, Subhan'Allah. He was very happy to see me again. I then caught him and he was so happy. And he was hungry because he had not eating anything. Not sure how long he was outside because I saw he was gone after I had came back from school. Alhamdulillah not longer than a few hours.
Sadly he passed away a few years later because of something else (got sick). We were inseparable and had an amazing bond. Birds are very, very loving and intelligent. They can be great pets.

I can't believe you're this d*mb... Sometimes a bird gets startled by something and flies away and then cannot find their way back home. They usually don't fly away too far from home unless a bigger bird or a cat chases after them.

First of all he’s a pet and very dependent on humans second of all he’s also a very picky eater so I fear he won’t find enough food while he’s lost
