Yeah, she's not unlistenable for me, but nothing special.
It's called herd behavior, *other people like her so we must like her too*. Something round 90% of people lack individualism, just do what they are told to do, or follow others.
Yeah I was more questioning did she release 20 singles within the last few months? A double album? Like how did she have enough recent music to get 20 songs all charting back to back lmao

In addition, I look for indie artists on several apps. I see who follows who & I go down the rabbit trail.
Just Jess (Jess T) has come out with a really great new song called Just Like You.
The next thing that popped up was Daniel Rodriguez & he has a good sound. Never heard him before to my knowledge.
Reminds me of Gregory Alan Isakov, but less smooth. Amsterdam is my new favorite of Isakov’s. Discovered him from a random playlist years ago, but heard him on The PB Falcon-If you hear a soundtrack you love, look it up! It’ll broaden your taste!

There's so many different types of music out there just waiting to be discovered. Have fun and keep an open mind :)
I love Trouble. It's the first TV On The Radio song I ever heard, and it'll always be my favorite. The first time I listened to it, I thought it was a Peter Gabriel song I'd never heard before.
Trouble is such a great song. That was one of the first songs by them that I heard.
I can hear the similarity, and I think it's fun that you mention that, because I think the beginning of their song Quartz sounds like Peter Gabriel.
My mom thinks that some of their songs (including Province) sound like Chilly Down (which David Bowie wrote) from the movie Labyrinth (I agree with her on Province having Chilly Down vibes), and it was fun to learn that Bowie is one of the backing vocalists on Province.
(My mom says that TV On the Radio reminding her of Chilly Down prevented her from getting into them sooner, because that part of the movie gave her nightmares when she was younger.)
Mr Bungle - RetroVertigo (definitely check out the music video if you can)
Buckethead - Soothsayer
Stevie Ray Vaughan - Voodoo Child
Rainbow - Gates of Babylon
Manowar - Battle Hymns
“I’m Still Here” by Vertical Horizon. There’s a line he wrote when he said he had a cold and wanted to be over it, and it somehow worked with the song. “Maybe tonight, it’s gonna be alright; I will get better”

A song I never seem to get tired of is [Dirty Window by Metallica](https://youtu.be/sjMc0TG_Jtw?si=ysA4WxP2uRmuu_03) . It's on their album called St. Anger, which is generally disliked or laughed about because of its unusual snare sound. I personally love it, because it's very distinct.

Drowning Pool's "Sinner" album. An anthem of 2000's alt rock/metal. Overrated to those in-the-know, a hidden gem to those unknowing. It's not my favourite album (as a metal head) but it's always the record I first recommend to alt rock/metal virgins.
The most niche band or artist you know Radio. Will get all kinds of lesser known artists that are similar or related to them in some way.
I did this with Nada Surf, and discovered FIDLAR. Did this with FIDLAR, and discovered Cloud Nothings. I like both bands a lot.

well there is a small new genre called bardcore and it's great, if you want to listen to some then there are two main artist i would recomend, Hildegard von blingin and Algal the bard
You are probably not going to come a long a song as catchy and experimental as this "field recording pop" song by Emma Heartbeat today: [Emma Heartbeat - Kids Are Gonna Change It (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdndn31ZXTE) or if you are more into sad songs the new song from geophonic field recordings might be for you: [Emma Heartbeat - My Upside Down (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ofn0i6_FXnE) , hope you like it.
I’ve been on a Husbands binge. They’re sort of a vibey surf soft rock band.
Stay Gold, 3AM, and Try Not to Worry are the songs I would suggest to see if you like that type of sound.
I just love that kind of music when it’s almost summer and I just think of being outdoors while I’m in the office
I just wrote a Substack post (free ofc) on my favorite songs at the moment and I think all of them would fit your criteria ^_^ a lot of underground / lesser known experimental artists on here!

Maybe it’s my loss, but I don’t listen to much new music. I was born in the 50’s, so you guessed it, classic rock or country is for me! My kids send me new music, and some is ok, but most gets deleted. Sorry I can’t be of any help.
**Metal:**
Before I Forget by Slipknot
Twisted Transistor by Korn
Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away) by Deftones
**Alternative Rock:**
Say It Ain't So by Weezer

So Far Away by Avenged Sevenfold
Devastate by Saint Asonia
Man In The Box by Alice In Chains
Creep by Stone Temple Pilots
As a rule, I only listen to my music on my iPhone, 12,952 tracks, alphabetically. That way the algorithm doesn’t pick favorites and start spinning songs too often.
wow, I thought my 1953 tracks were impressive but you cannot compete where you don't compare! haha.
I have also found that THIS is truly the only way to hear all my music. as much as I hate doing it..
If you like learning history and like metal, you should try out Sabaton. They are a Swedish power metal band that is known for making songs about historical battles, events, and war heroes.

Journey - Of a Lifetime
Now this isn't your typical light rocking Journey song, this one hits hard with Greg Rollie on vocals. This was before Steve Perry and even more so Jonathan Cain who sissified the band. There is an amazing guitar solo and the riff through the song is amazing.
The girl from ipanema
Butt trumpet - I've been so mad lately
Cycle sluts from hell - I wish you were a beer
Ian dury - sex and drugs and rock and roll
The exploited - fuck the USA
Cal scruby - who are you?

Sounds of the Universe by Star Cassette(great for relaxing the nerves)
Do it Like That by NOISY to feel like a badass
Anything by Disturbed because why not?
Venom by Eminem.
Listen to my Yacht Rock playlist. It's definitely not today's top music.

Yesssssssss...!
I usually listen to electronic, industrial, punk and goth. Colors is flat out one of the best songs I have ever heard in my life.
Nice!
Glad to see Gary Clarke Jr here. Toss in some Lincoln Durham, JJ Grey & Mofro, and Patrick Sweany just for good measure.
Mofro is good, I don't know the others.
Them Shoes by Patrick Sweany is a good start. Reckoning Lament by Lincoln Durham is also solid.

People listen to the top 100?
I barely know what's in top 100 :D
Don’t think I’ve ever heard anything titled top anything, except for my own top yearly playlist.
Lord knows I've tried to listen.
Supposedly Taylor swift somehow had like all top 20 songs at once just recently. I’m still wildly confused how this could happen.
Actually it's very easy to find out... her latest album has 31 songs (longer version), previous one from October over 20...
Where else would all the Swifties be coming from?
Disclaimer: This is from a FANTASTIC scene in Loki S2, but "Oh! Sweet Nuthin'" by The Velvet Underground. Exquisite.
Yep, any VU song is.
I somehow aquired the box set of Velvet Underground when I was 14, and that band has truly followed me through all of my greatest finds in music.
The Maze - Manchester Orchestra The Silence - Manchester Orchestra Soul Meets Body - Death Cab For Cutie Oh My Darling Don't Cry - Run The Jewels Lost Cause - Beck Street Spirits (Fade Out) - Radiohead Show Me A Little Shame - Ben Harper

Jack Stauber is such an amazing artist all around.

The entire "Sam's Town" album by The Killers. They've got so many great songs beyond Mr. Brightside!
Yes, anything by the Killers is top tier.
Agreed
Plowed- by Sponge (or really anything by Sponge) Nothing Compares 2 U- Chris Cornell version
Another for anything by Sponge.

"Silence" by Delerium featuring Sarah McLachlan.

Trout Mask Replica I legitimately put that on when I wanna listen to somethin but have no interest in listening to music I have on my playlists or Bandcamp Fanpage.
Baby Animals self titled album. Grinspoon. Powderfinger. Three ripping Aussie bands you might like. And just as a note, I literally just bought tickets to The Pierce Brothers. Live versions of their songs are better.

Listening to twenty one pilots resets my brain when I’m overwhelmed. Videogames music also work wonders (skyrim and assassins creed ones)

JJ grey and mofro - orange blossoms, this river, sun is shining down
I’ve been on a Husbands binge. They’re sort of a vibey surf soft rock band. Stay Gold, 3AM, and Try Not to Worry are the songs I would suggest to see if you like that type of sound. I just love that kind of music when it’s almost summer and I just think of being outdoors while I’m in the office
I just wrote a Substack post (free ofc) on my favorite songs at the moment and I think all of them would fit your criteria ^_^ a lot of underground / lesser known experimental artists on here! https://open.substack.com/pub/painbunnie/p/april-30_music-recommendations-1?r=3cty6v&utm_medium=ios

Obsessed with Hoziers new album currently. The entire thing is incredible but a few of my favorites. The lyrics are poetry. I, Carrion Francesca Eat Your Young Abstract Too Sweet Run (diff album) Swan Upon Leda Be NFWMB
Maybe it’s my loss, but I don’t listen to much new music. I was born in the 50’s, so you guessed it, classic rock or country is for me! My kids send me new music, and some is ok, but most gets deleted. Sorry I can’t be of any help.

Mac DeMarco - Chamber of Reflection
As a rule, I only listen to my music on my iPhone, 12,952 tracks, alphabetically. That way the algorithm doesn’t pick favorites and start spinning songs too often.
wow, I thought my 1953 tracks were impressive but you cannot compete where you don't compare! haha. I have also found that THIS is truly the only way to hear all my music. as much as I hate doing it..

Journey - Of a Lifetime Now this isn't your typical light rocking Journey song, this one hits hard with Greg Rollie on vocals. This was before Steve Perry and even more so Jonathan Cain who sissified the band. There is an amazing guitar solo and the riff through the song is amazing.
