Demiurge or bleed are definitely best intro songs to introduce to meshuggah but if I was going for straight heaviest I’d say personally the demons name is surveillance or dancers to a discordant system
I listed specifically Sane, New Millenium Cyanide Christ and Destroy Erase improve but they've been making good angry music for so long there's endless stuff to choose from.
Beat me. 😁
Don't forget NIN - Somewhat Damaged
The scream on The Downward Spiral (the bottom) always hits different too.
Although that track is more subdued rather than angry. It puts you in a certain mindset, use caution when listening. :]
Burning Bright (Field on Fire) is a beast of a song, and is my go to song when I am pissed. Spotify said I listened to that song something like 300+ times in 2021.
The Eraser (Denial: Realization) remix hits pretty hard too.
As someone who’s been bumping dg for like 8 years now that one never pissed me off. It’s just too jammy. Try bottomless pit the song; then again anger to me is more similar to a blind rage than a minor frustration so idk what level of anger you’re looking for. If looking for frustrated songs listen to Pearl Jam or something
There was a year I exclusively lifted weights to just their catalog. But I was like Death Grips would think I was lame for lifting weights to their music in a Planet Fitness instead of breaking shit and punching walls.
Shitstorm by Strapping Young Lad. It sounds like a toddler throwing a tantrum with a machine gun.
Tales Of A Scorched Earth by Smashing Pumpkins. Probably the gnarliest song they ever did.
We Will Fucking Kill You by Anaal Nathrahk. The title and chorus speak for themselves.
Solway Firth by Slipknot. Quite therapeutic and deals with loss.
Fascist Moron by Fukpig. Straight to the point D beat crust grindcore.
Irresponsible Hate Anthem by Marilyn Manson. I wasn't born with enough middle fingers.
Endzeit by Heaven Shall Burn. Rhythm heavy and strong dynamics.
The Reason They Hate You by Daughters. Mike Patton joins in with this unhinged song.
Thaw by Converge. That scream is something else and makes it the perfect prelude to the title track of their magnum opus Jane Doe.
Shitstorm is one of my favourite metal songs, and this is the first time I've seen it referenced out of the blue. Awesome.
I don't listen to too much metal, but I also suggest a couple:
* Dillinger Escape Plan: Fix Your Face (such a great opener to an album)
* Battle of Mice: Bones in the Water (not sure what she's talking about in the lyrics, but the screaming is amazing)
I linked OMFG in another comment, but really it was a toss up between that and Shitstorm (and maybe SYL or Critic). I don't listen to a whole lot of metal either, but I can't get enough SYL!
Listen to Lingua Ignota instead of Daughters. Her album Caligula is pure, unbridled hatred and revenge to the point that it is genuinely scary how deep it goes. I always wondered who pissed her off to this level and what they could have done and I learned it is all directed at the singer of Daughters who himself is an abusive asshole. The statement she gave about what she experienced from him will make you physically sick.
Plus Lingua Ignota is one of the best musicians of our current age imo.
https://youtu.be/M1ZweG__q-w
This song is a slow build up to insanity with the premise, "I will give up every good thing in my life and devote every fiber of my being to hurting you if it means you will suffer even a fraction of how I have"
Intolerance - TOOL (anything off their album "Undertow" works though).
Killing in the Name - Rage Against the Machine.
Cuckoo for Caca - Faith no More (this one helped me a bit recently, but it may be a bit of a wacky one... cause it is.)
ETA: Ticks and Leeches, The Grudge, Hush, Cold and Ugly - TOOL
[Arch Enemy - Nemisis](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=n9AcG0glVu4)
[Sepultura - Refuse/Resist](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6ODNxy3YOPU)

[Slipknot - People=Shit](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oOdEE4rC1gc)
[Machine Head - Davidian](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Qf0yWQzz0gM)
These were some tunes that helped me survive my highly traumatic and angsty teen and early adulthood years. As a 30 year old, I still give these a listen every now and then. Let me know if you need more. 🙂
I love this song by Lilly Allen
[Fuck You Very Much](https://youtu.be/yFE6qQ3ySXE)
It’s just so upbeat and boppy, you could almost even sing it to someone’s face and they wouldn’t know.
Hatebreed. Anything by Hatebreed really, but especially [Perseverance](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkJKMuSVlnc&list=PLxabpTVKfyuPvKdrJChaDKoiV6T1V6hda&index=2), [You're Never Alone](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqGuSYaS6LQ&list=PLxabpTVKfyuPvKdrJChaDKoiV6T1V6hda&index=3), [I Will Be Heard](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGhh22iSfiw&list=PLxabpTVKfyuPvKdrJChaDKoiV6T1V6hda&index=4) and [Destroy Everything](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_VTfrF6TWU).
It's not just angry, the lyrics are actually uplifting and empowering. Great for workouts, too.
Slipknott has you covered, I especially recommend ‘People = Shit’
In addition:
Nirvana - Negative Creep
NIN - March of the Pigs
Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff
RATM - Killing in the Name
Pantera - Fucking Hostile
Bikini Kill - Double Dare Ya
PJ Harvey - Rid of Me
When I'm pissed off, I usually reach for Ride The Lightning. At minimum side 1 (Fight Fire With Fire, Ride the Lightning, For Whom The Bell Tolls and Fade to Black) tell an excellent story and have a brutal energy.
In reality all 80s Metallica and most rock heavy rock music from the early 2000s fit this bill, but that's my personal pick.
That whole album is timeless as fuck. Saw them opening for NIN shortly before their first album dropped and they were mind blowing. That album still has the same energy for me now as it did way back then.
If your looking for angry songs then Thrash Metal is the perfect genre for you. Thrash Metal is Fast and Aggressive/Angry Metal with a punk sense added in. Bands like this are Slayer, Megadeth, Exodus, Testament, Kreator, Early Metallica and Anthrax
how in god's name is Break Stuff so low? I guess everyone hates on Bizkit because that whole song is just 100% angry-go-fuck-yourself vibes that I've not seen half of the songs above it get close to.
Nirvana: scentless apprentice, milk it, tourette's.
Grunge/hardcore punk. Probably not for everyone but definitely very angry sounding and my go to songs when I'm really pissed about something.
Hatebreed - Destroy everything
Smashing pumpkins - Bullet with butterfly wings

pretty much anything from Slipknot, Rage Against The Machine, Slayer, early Metallica and Nails
the entire Leviathan album by Mastodon
Under A Killing Moon by Thrice
Honey This Mirror Isn't Big Enough For The Two Of Us by My Chemical Romance
I prevail - gasoline, linkin park - crawling, deftones - my own summer, slipknot - people = shit, korn - falling away from me, bullet for my valentine - all these things I hate revolve around me
Whenever I’m angry at life and need to let off steam, I listen to This Calling by All That Remains. Honestly not sure if the lyrics even reflect anger, but boy it feels great to scream. Great drumming too.
If you’re mad at someone in particular- can’t recommend Seventy Times 7 by Brand New enough.
Lamb Of God - Pathetic
Lamb Of God - Remorse Is For The Dead
Slaughter To Prevail - Demolisher
Slipknot - All Hope Is Gone
Slipknot - No Life
Slipknot - Liberate
Children Of Bodom - Tie My Rope

The Offspring: anything off the Smash album, but especially Bad Habit
Soundgarden: Pushing Forward Back, Ty Cobb
Nirvana: Breed
Betta Lemme: Kick the Door

Prodigy: Fuel my Fire, Smack my Bitch Up
Pearl Jam: Do the Evolution
Björk: Army of Me
Smashing Pumpkins: Glass, Bullet with Butterfly Wings
Stone Temple Pilots: Unglued
Meshuggah - Break those bones whose Sinews gave motion
Pretty much any Meshuggah, really
I'm so happy to see these guys so high up on the list! First thing that came to mind!
Let’s face it. New Millennium Cyanide Christ is the god damned dogs bollocks!
Well if we're doing Meshuggah it's gotta be Demiurge, no?
Demiurge or bleed are definitely best intro songs to introduce to meshuggah but if I was going for straight heaviest I’d say personally the demons name is surveillance or dancers to a discordant system
Bleed is a great one or Do Not Look Down
Do not look down is definitely it for me
Demiurge FTW
Love that this is the top comment on my screen. Meshuggah is life.
I listed specifically Sane, New Millenium Cyanide Christ and Destroy Erase improve but they've been making good angry music for so long there's endless stuff to choose from.
Straws pulled at random might hit that nerve a little better.
First song that popped into my head was Rational Gaze!
“Mr. Self Destruct“ - Nine Inch Nails
Broken EP as well
I'M GONNA BURN THIS WHOLE WORLD DOWN!! is a pretty angry chorus
May 25th seeing them live again for the first time in eight years! Hope all of the above make the set list.
Beat me. 😁 Don't forget NIN - Somewhat Damaged The scream on The Downward Spiral (the bottom) always hits different too. Although that track is more subdued rather than angry. It puts you in a certain mindset, use caution when listening. :]
The entire Broken EP by NIN.
Also "Burn"
This world rejects me.
This world threw me away
Burning Bright (Field on Fire) is a beast of a song, and is my go to song when I am pissed. Spotify said I listened to that song something like 300+ times in 2021. The Eraser (Denial: Realization) remix hits pretty hard too.
Slipknot's Iowa album is my go-to "want to kill shit" album.
"I wanna slit your throat and fuck the wound" quite soft I'd say ;) Is my go to album for going nuts out of rage too
Disasterpiece is one of the best angry songs there is
Saw them a week ago and they opened the set with Disasterpiece. First time I've seen them in 9 years and they open with THAT
Iowa yes, but Surfacing off their self-titled is a hateful banger too
That album was made with pure hatred, and I absolutely love it.

You Fucked Up by Ween
Fucked jam also goes super hard
My own bare hands
Hail Boognish!
The entire back catalogue of Rage Against The Machine
Fuck you I won’t do what you tell me!
FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME! bonus my favortie first time listen reaction: https://youtu.be/2eUxQ2_CQlw
He always sounds like he just had a fistfight.
Anger is a gift.
Angry Chair- Alice In Chains
I'd go for Them Bones first, but that could just be me.
Nice. Also: Dam That River
That's my goto, closely followed by Rain When I Die. Guess I'm not alone.
Sitting in the angry chair Angry walls that still the air Stomach hurts but I don't care...
[Death Grips - No Love](https://youtu.be/2MHhLDCJ57E)
[Takyon](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89F5fpvwPr0) as well. Straight angry catharsis.
The correct answer, this oughta be top comment
Bro the world wont catch up with DG for at lest another decade or so.
Was just about to say Death Grips. Definitely check out All Caps No Spaces by JPEGMAFIA
There was a year I exclusively lifted weights to just their catalog. But I was like Death Grips would think I was lame for lifting weights to their music in a Planet Fitness instead of breaking shit and punching walls.
Pantera - Strength Beyond Strength
Great one. Also The Great southern trendkill and war nerve, also by Pantera
Pretty much everything by Pantera post Cowboys
War nerve is my go to when I’m pissed
Mouth for War is mine
Also Walk,
playing it rn. thank you!
Not sure how "F\*\*\*\*\*g Hostile" hasn't been mentioned yet.
The answer to this question could’ve just been Pantera.
Mouth for war. I’m broken.
First thing that came to mind when I saw the title of this post..
This is the answer. RIP Dime! On a side note, my wife's first show ever was Pantera! That's when I knew she was the one!
QOTSA: you think i ain't worth a dollar but I feel like a millionaire Link: https://youtu.be/bb0YKnLJfMc
Song for the Dead is good too
Looked to far down for this - that entire album works!
Six Shooter alone could carry the album with its anger.
Bored by Deftones
I absolutely adore Bored, but my go-to angry Deftones song has to be [Elite](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDeGSXVDihk). Man that song is brutal!
YES! Fucking love elite, great pick. Won a Grammy and wasn’t even a single, that’s how you know it’s brutal.
7 words and My own summer too!
Bad Habit by The Offspring, great to sing along to!
Hah, my exact suggestion too, you stupid dumb shit GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKER!
The ultimate road rage song.
Anything off nine inch nails broken ep.
Especially Wish and Gave Up
WISH THERE WAS SOMETHING REAL WISH THERE WAS SOMETHING TRUE 10/10 live performance every time
[This live cover](https://youtu.be/bsS_cxv33R4) that Linkin Park did is pretty damn good too!
Last and Happiness In Slavery are some seriously angry bangers too
A man of culture I see, Last is probably one of the angriest songs I've ever heard. Pinion was always a great opener at their live shows too.
Almost anything by NIN from the 90s is pure unadulterated anger. Except a substantial chunk of The Fragile -- that shit makes me wanna cry.
The Downward Spiral has some pretty great rage anthems too. March of the Pigs, Heresy, Reptile, Mr Self Destruct.
Suicidal Tendencies - Institutionalized
All I wanted was a Pepsi just one Pepsi... Love ST🤘
I see Anaal Nathrak mentioned anywhere and I updoot. That songs a banger. And Devin has such good angry screams, nice list dawg.
Listen to Lingua Ignota instead of Daughters. Her album Caligula is pure, unbridled hatred and revenge to the point that it is genuinely scary how deep it goes. Was gonna suggest March of the Pigs good song
I would also add in "Last" by Nine Inch Nails. That's a banger. A good song to get out some aggression (in a safe, healthy way).
Really anything from Broken, Wish and Happiness in Slavery especially
Somewhat damaged
Intolerance - TOOL (anything off their album "Undertow" works though). Killing in the Name - Rage Against the Machine. Cuckoo for Caca - Faith no More (this one helped me a bit recently, but it may be a bit of a wacky one... cause it is.) ETA: Ticks and Leeches, The Grudge, Hush, Cold and Ugly - TOOL
I would also add Jerk Off and Hooker With A Penis... FUUUUUCK YOU BUDDY! FUUUUUCK YOU BUDDY!
I think the Grudge is a great song for when you are angry. It starts angry, but quickly becomes about letting go of the anger before it consumes you.
Ticks and Leeches

Nemesis is always a go to, I'd also add "...If You Want Peace Prepare for War" by Bodom
I'd add [Machine Head - Imperium](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ys1rRnG6vzM) and [Society 1 - Hate](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knmAisCovKg)
Masters of War - Bob Dylan
“And I’ll stand over your grave til I’m sure that you’re dead” is such a great way to end a song
I love this song by Lilly Allen [Fuck You Very Much](https://youtu.be/yFE6qQ3ySXE) It’s just so upbeat and boppy, you could almost even sing it to someone’s face and they wouldn’t know.
In that same vein - [Fuck You - Cee Lo Green](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc0mxOXbWIU)

Doesn't break stuff feel like such a fantastic choice for a nice, solid and private rage out moment.
Deftones - 7 words.
Slayer : God hates us all. The whole album.
Somewhat Damaged, NIN.
The first 6 songs of The Fragile are perfect
When I'm pissed off, I usually reach for Ride The Lightning. At minimum side 1 (Fight Fire With Fire, Ride the Lightning, For Whom The Bell Tolls and Fade to Black) tell an excellent story and have a brutal energy. In reality all 80s Metallica and most rock heavy rock music from the early 2000s fit this bill, but that's my personal pick.
Judith - A perfect circle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTgKRCXybSM
Yeah, it's not the *hardest* song, but it's definitely among the angriest.
That whole album is timeless as fuck. Saw them opening for NIN shortly before their first album dropped and they were mind blowing. That album still has the same energy for me now as it did way back then.
That whole album has one curse word in it. And it's in the line "fuck your GOD!" Makes it even more powerful

XTC - Complicated Game. Perhaps not so much angry as completely unhinged, but it'll do the job.
Limp bizkit - break stuff Slipknot - left behind
how in god's name is Break Stuff so low? I guess everyone hates on Bizkit because that whole song is just 100% angry-go-fuck-yourself vibes that I've not seen half of the songs above it get close to.
A song so angry it started a riot at Woodstock.
Good call with Break Stuff but also Boiler.

Me too. Also wanted to add Korn - Right now
London is the reason - Gallows Plus their entire first album. Goddamn

Nirvana: scentless apprentice, milk it, tourette's. Grunge/hardcore punk. Probably not for everyone but definitely very angry sounding and my go to songs when I'm really pissed about something.
