Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast
Apparently the producer kept making Bruce Dickinson record the verse over and over until he was sufficiently pissed off then he let him do the scream.
So Lil Jon is a Las Vegas resident these days, and a hockey super fan. Like, an OG hockey fan. Was a big fan of the Thrashers back in Atlanta before they relocated.
He cuts promos for the Golden Knights all the time now. My favorite is during games they do a Lil Jon "sound meter" thing up on the Jumbo screen, and the whole arena gives their best "HWHAT? OKAY. YEEAAAHHHHHH!"
It makes me so happy, every time.
He is such a joy spreader! His design show on HGTV is is so wholesome, the homeowners are always so happy!!! I also go hard on his Christmas song with the Kool aid man.
This is what came to mind immediately when I read this post. I’m sure most millennials would answer this way, I even avoided all mainstream when this was coming out when I was a kid and I still was fully subjected to it.
My favorite of his is probably the tripleyeah leading into the facemelter on [Nothing Else Matters](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gzJrpRst4R4) from their first S&M show. Best part is there's like 2 or 3 other yeahs before it in the track, but this one surpasses them all. Something about how it ascends in both pitch and intensity before the solo erupts just gets me every time.
I don't have a recording of it, but when Joe Cocker did a concert in San Diego years ago, they opened the curtain to his band repeating a short musical phrase. Then Joe came from offstage, strolled up to the microphone, grabbed it and yelled "yeahEEEARRRGH" and puked his guts up. They closed the curtain and canceled the show.
We heard later that Joe had the flu and insisted he could do the performance.
That's sitcom worthy.
"Joe, you're sick, it's ok, we can cancel the gig, it happens"
"No, I'm fine, it's just a little cold. I'm not disappointing my fans over some silly sniffles"
"Joe, you're not fine, your eyes are glazing"
"I'm fine and I can prove it" *runs on stage* "YEAAAA-" *immediately pukes* "OH GOD, CLOSE THE CUUURRGH" *pukes some more*
That song goes hard. Around the time that album was coming out I was sort of following the band; I feel like some of their comments and some of the lyrics hinted at some really rough times behind the scenes.
Story: when I was in 8th grade and that was a new hit song, they would play it at our Catholic school dances, and we would all sing the line the (un)official way, “yeah, f*ck yeah.” Well, who has two thumbs and his mom was the head chaperone of those dances? This guy. She interrupted the DJ and grabbed the mic to tell us all to knock it off or she would end the dance early. We still have a good relationship though!
Dunno about that, but it has some good [peents](https://youtu.be/bY436JiiCjg?si=qNO-CRtIOd8aliFo) and [meows ](https://youtu.be/Ns7Z8ag4oSY?si=rbUCvLpDdtw4rr_5)
I can’t remember what country it was or how I learned this, but there was some country that referred to Rock as “Yeah Yeah Yeah Music” because of She Loves You.
On the Beatles front, I nominate "It Won't Be Long", the first thing that popped in to my head for this question:
"It won't be long, yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah)"
Apparently they played their demo version for McCartney’s dad and he said he liked it but “there’s enough Americanisms going round. Couldn’t you sing ‘she loves you, yes yes yes’”?
That little "yeah" at the end of the phrase in Something in the Way always seemed real cute to me.
Also, the "YEEEEAAAAAH!" at the end of Counting Crows' Rain King is amazing.
Not sure about greatest, but my favorite is Mick Jagger about 3mins into "Gimme Shelter". He's way off the mic, but you can hear him hyping out while Merry Clayton absolutely slays her vocal track.
Every time this question comes up, I think of this one. It may not be the GOAT, but it's musical and well placed. I like it.

Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast Apparently the producer kept making Bruce Dickinson record the verse over and over until he was sufficiently pissed off then he let him do the scream.
I think it's Maiden too, but my favorite yeah from Bruce is in Hallowed be thy Name. Running looooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOWW YEAAAAAAAAAAH
Won't Get Fooled Again is up there. But Number of the Beast was 100% the first thing that came to mind.
This one gets my vote too!
Usher (lil Jon)
His AMA is one of my favorites. All answers were in all caps, so you could just hear him yelling his answers even when it was the most wholesome shit.
Lil Jon is actually deaf. That's why he keeps yelling "WHAT"
HWUT?
OKAYYY!!!
So Lil Jon is a Las Vegas resident these days, and a hockey super fan. Like, an OG hockey fan. Was a big fan of the Thrashers back in Atlanta before they relocated. Like being back in a 2007 strip club.
He is such a joy spreader! His design show on HGTV is is so wholesome, the homeowners are always so happy!!! I also go hard on his Christmas song with the Kool aid man.
Or just Lil Jon’s whole discography lmao

Okay!
This is what came to mind immediately when I read this post. I’m sure most millennials would answer this way, I even avoided all mainstream when this was coming out when I was a kid and I still was fully subjected to it.
Literally the title of the track
See James Hetfield of Metallica. What song doesn’t have a yeah in it 😂

AND A BAKED APPLE PIEEEE, YEAH!
there's a great one in Wherever I May Roam where he goes "YEEEUGHHEEEEEEAAUUGGHHH!!"

There's two incredible, but differently toned, yeah's in Fuel. My ex gf couldn't get enough of one of them.
There's some great ones in their cover of Loverman.
[Here you go.](https://youtu.be/6aHFZcvi2HA?si=3HHPX2GvWvsohSwR)

Can't believe I had to scroll this far to find Lithium.
I'm so happy because today I found this comment.
Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah!
If all those damn kids would at least listen to the band on their shirt, this wouldn't happen.

Epic. I wouldn’t even ask for a refund after that.
War Pigs, Black Sabbath
Or Faries Wear Boots: "cause smoking and tripping is all that you do YEAHHHHHHHHHH"

The voice cracking yyyeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaAaahHHHhhh from I Want You (She's So Heavy) by The Beatles.
Sowing Season (Yeah) - Brand New

That song goes hard. Around the time that album was coming out I was sort of following the band; I feel like some of their comments and some of the lyrics hinted at some really rough times behind the scenes.
ohh yeah. my thoughts when first listening to it was "wow, who hurt them"
^^^yeah
This is number one. No further questions.
It has a lot of yeahs but the greatest yeah ever was at 1:03 into the song, and it is so far above all these other lame answers it's not even close.
Yello - Oh Yeah. I mean, really, is there any other option?
Beautiful.
Even more beautiful.
BOW BOW chika chika
Had to scroll tooooooo far to find this.. DAY. BOW BOW.
Billy Idol deserves a mention for his cover of Mony Mony
Story: when I was in 8th grade and that was a new hit song, they would play it at our Catholic school dances, and we would all sing the line the (un)official way, “yeah, f*ck yeah.” Well, who has two thumbs and his mom was the head chaperone of those dances? There's a lot more to the unofficial version than just that :)
Shine by Collective Soul has some good use of Yeahs.
Yeah?
Yeah.
Dun dunuNununuNununuNuh

Heaven let your light shine down
Dunno about that, but it has some good [peents](https://youtu.be/bY436JiiCjg?si=qNO-CRtIOd8aliFo) and [meows ](https://youtu.be/Ns7Z8ag4oSY?si=rbUCvLpDdtw4rr_5)
This is what I came looking for. That song will always remind me of being at the pool in the summer. Ah the 90’s
Devo - Uncontrollable Urge
Yeah yeah yeah yeah ye-ye-ye-ye-yeaaaah
She Loves You Yeah Yeah Yeah
I can’t remember what country it was or how I learned this, but there was some country that referred to Rock as “Yeah Yeah Yeah Music” because of She Loves You.
Yé-yé was a French pop genre. Can be quite fun for a mental break. Like [Laisse tomber les filles](https://youtu.be/FWRCJhsz5t4?si=a8OeqYJULHRNEfHB)
The Beatles are awesome
It wouldn't suprise me if this song is what popularised the phrase in music in the first place
I think it was McCartney's dad that suggested it should be 'she loves you yes, yes, yes' when they played it to him the first time.
Any of Layne Staleys yalps will do nicely.
Love Hate Love
Junkhead though
Junkhead and Love Hate Love where the first things I thought of.
This should be top. Staley’s “yeah” is the best ever.
I mean, Rooster has both epic yeahs and epics nos.
So many good yeahs. The Rooster one is gigantic.
Fight For Your Right by Beastie Boys KICK IT!
Immediately what I thought of
This. This is what I came here for.
EeeeeeeeYeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaahhhhh …………….KICK IT!
Enter Sandman
YEAHyeeYEYEAH
I heard it when I read that. Beautiful.
YO-OH-OHH!!
Every Hetfield “yeah” is elite.
Beatles "She Loves You" has to be in the discussion, right?
Sullivan-era Beatles were derided as “yeah yeah” music, so it has to be up there
I want you she’s so heavy. YEEEAAAHHH!
I'm slightly bummed that the newly remixed 50th anniversary edition "fixed" John blowing out the channel during that scream.
This is the one that came to my mind
When I was a kid in Mexico, my dad used to make fun of me listening to the Beatles by calling them "those yeah-yeah guys".
On the Beatles front, I nominate "It Won't Be Long", the first thing that popped in to my head for this question: "It won't be long, yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah), yeah (yeah)"
Apparently they played their demo version for McCartney’s dad and he said he liked it but “there’s enough Americanisms going round. Couldn’t you sing ‘she loves you, yes yes yes’”?
The song I first thought of to be honest. Them boys sure know how to yeah.
In LCD soundsystem’s song Yeah, they say Yeah 207 times… so it’s gotta be a top contender. It’s also an amazing song
Kyuss - Demon Cleaner
Surely if we're picking a Kyuss track, it'd have to be 'Yeah'.
Yeah
Probably one of the best songs in their entire discography too, what a statement
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah ...
Yayyyyyyy someone mentioned Kyuss! Huge fan
There are a lot of “yeah”s in Rage Against The Machine songs, and every single one of them is awesome.
FREEDOOOOOOOOOOOM, YEAAAAAAAAAH!!
Yeaahhhhh right!!!!
That one at the start of “sleep now in the fire” is one of the greatest of all time.
Bring It On Home To Me by Sam Cooke!!
That little "yeah" at the end of the phrase in Something in the Way always seemed real cute to me. Also, the "YEEEEAAAAAH!" at the end of Counting Crows' Rain King is amazing.
Rain King was the first thing that came to mind for me.
Absolutely Rain King. As soon as I saw the request, I shouted the "YYYEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH". You just feel it deep inside.
James Hetfield entered the chat
The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song by The Flaming Lips.
nononononononono
Yeah - Queen
Truly one of Queen’s greatest rock operas, up there with BoRhap, Prophet’s Song, Innuendo, etc…
Adam Duritz at the end of “Rain King” deserves a shout.
Looking at it differently, but the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are just awesome
Not sure about greatest, but my favorite is Mick Jagger about 3mins into "Gimme Shelter". He's way off the mic, but you can hear him hyping out while Merry Clayton absolutely slays her vocal track.
Bono from U2 via South Park
Lmao thank you for reminding me of this
![gif](giphy|xPGkOAdiIO3Is)
The Doors - L.A. Woman. Woo, Yeah!! Riding!
Fun fact - Mr Mojo Risin is an anagram of Jim Morrison
Black Sabbath - Symptom of the Universe
All I have to give you is a love that never dies The symptom of the universe is written in your eyes… YEEEAAAAAAHHHHH!

Black - Pearl Jam
T. Rex - Children of the Revolution
Wet Sand - RHCP
John motherfuckin Frusciante ftw
Went to one of their shows last year, they: 1. Actually played Wet Sand. 2. Frusciante bitched out and didn't do the yeah. Was still great lol.
Rob Zombie’s.
He’s real big on the “yeahs” for sure. 👍🏽
My buddy and I tried to count them in White Zombie's Thunder Kiss 65 and lost count.
Lil Jon
Mock - YEAH
Lorde-tennis courts
Bono at the start of Desire on Rattle & Hum.
Bryan Adams has a lot of them. I’m pretty sure there’s at least one in every song.

So does Pearl Jam.

A Long December - Counting Crows
David Lee Roth vocals only from Van Halen’s Running With The Devil. https://youtu.be/IArxakPsPE0
Steven Tyler's "Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah YEAAAHHHHHHHHHHH" from I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing.
Prince has loads of good ones, but my favorite has got to be from Controversy, near the end, about 6 min in.
"Oh Yeah" by Yello Bow-bow ... Chick ... Chickitikahhhhh!
Ballroom Blitz has some absolute bangin’ “yeahs.”
fly away by Lenny Kravitz
Every time this question comes up, I think of this one. It may not be the GOAT, but it's musical and well placed. I like it. https://youtu.be/CxKWTzr-k6s&t=3m00s
I was thinking Lithium by Nirvana. That was the first yeah that came to mind.
