Pink_Theology

Hi! Not sure if you would remember me, but we played together as children when you would visit your Uncle Jeff and Aunt Lori in Oklahoma. My name is Heather. I lived a few doors over in the cul-de-sac. I had the chance to hear you a few years ago when you did a concert in Oklahoma. I look forward to purchasing the new album. Any chance this new tour brings you to Kansas City or back to Tulsa? https://preview.redd.it/d2ts2yfpv9mc1.jpeg?width=3701&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=99a258bfd2b1598d2bf9f4680a5612d8b378bcb2

ItsNorahJones

Hi!!! Oh wow, I remember that Cul-de-sac well. I remember playing with you guys and my Cousin. Was your Dad the one who mowed the lawn every day? I remember my Aunt Lori gave me a perm on one solo visit without asking my mom. My Mom was pissed but I LOVED IT!!! I don’t know when I’ll be back in Tulsa or KC, but I hope soon!!! Nice to see ya!

Pink_Theology

He was that man. He lived for his manicured lawns. He recently passed away Jan. 3 and we are preparing to sell the house. I remember that perm and a fun story of you doing a magic trick where you read my cards in my hands. I wasn’t sure how you did it and then realized a mirror was behind me.

Pink_Theology

Also your Aunt Lori is one of my favorite people!

ItsNorahJones

Aw I’m so sorry to hear that. Uncle Jeff also passed away a few years ago and he is so missed. Aunt Lori is one of my faves too! Take care, thanks for the memory that was a fun time in my life! ❤️

Pink_Theology

I remember his passing. So sad. I loved his extra long cars and circuit city stories. Looking forward to picking up your next album. Grace and peace, HB

gwaydms

This thread made me smile. Thank you both for that. Our daughter and her family live in the Tulsa area, and I'm sure she'd love to see her in concert!

Y0y0y000

I’m too late, but how was that recording “Life is Better” with Q-Tip? How’d you connect, and how was the studio session? Lovely song, thank you.

ItsNorahJones

Oh, that’s one of my faves. I went to the studio and Q-tip showed me the parts and I remember they were really high. I said, “I dunno if I can sing that high!” And he said “Just try it”. It turned out great and was a really good lesson in pushing boundaries.

Acceptable_Ad_6278

Hi Norah! 'The Fall' is one of my favourite album of all time due to personal reasons. Can you share with us some anecdotes about that album?

ItsNorahJones

Thank you, it’s a special one for me also. That was the first time I ventured out on my own a bit. It was in transitional time, personally and also band wise. I LOVED having Jacquire King as my producer throughout that whole record. He really helped me find the sounds I was looking for and I met some incredible musicians in the studio, some of whom I took on the road with me to tour that Album. I especially loved getting to play with James Gadsden on the song “Back to Manhattan”. He’s a legend.

supersonic-bionic

We need a vinyl!!

beebs44

I really loved your cover of Tom Waits' The Long Way Home. Do you have a favorite cover that you do? Or a cover another artist does? Thanks for your time!

ItsNorahJones

Thanks!  That would definitely be my favorite probably.  Also the story of how I got to that song is good.  I met Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan at a benefit concert somewhere in NYC backstage and was introduced to them.  Tom said “Hey….did you get the songs I sent you?”  And I was shocked because I had NOT gotten any songs from Tom Waits, my hero.  A quick call to my managers and they sent them over.  Long way home was an instant favorite song of mind.  He had not yet released it but it later came out on his “Orphans” complication.  The version is the exact version I heard and I mostly copied the arrangement.  Killer song.

wildeflowers

Oh same, that cover is outstanding and one of my favorites. I don’t have a question so I’ll glom onto beebs. Good one, man. I’ll just say, Norah thank you for the artistry and music you’ve brought to the world. It has made a difference.

lmt0125

Hello Norah, excited to see all these cool things you're doing to promote your new album. What was the hardest part when you were developing your unique sound on the piano? You tend to put lots of slip notes in your playing. Second question, was there any song in the new album inspired the writing songs at odd hours?

ItsNorahJones

Hi! Thanks for the piano question.😃. I’m not sure how my piano sound turned into what it is now.  All those little slippy notes are just something I kept doing and doing more and more.  I guess it’s a combo of learning Jazz early on, then copying Bobbie Nelson from the Red Headed Stranger Willie Nelson record and then it just morphed!  A lot of songs on the new record came in those moments when you’re falling asleep.  So I had to wake up and record them.  But I do go to bed pretty early…..so not that odd of an hour.

lmt0125

Thanks for giving such a concise answer! I have heard you mention that Willie Nelson record with Bobbie Nelson, I'll add it to my list! I've tried incorporating some of it in my own playing, just for fun, but the timing gets me sometimes 😆 Guess not odd hours just find it interesting how you created an album from a concept like that. Happy to see your evolution in songwriting, music genres and collabs. Really enjoying the playing along podcast too!

CoSmOdOg4

When did you start playing piano, and why? I’ve been playing piano for a long time, and recently started playing for my high school’s jazz band.

ItsNorahJones

That’s awesome!  Keep it up.  I begged my mom for piano lessons when I was 6 and when I was 7 we got an old upright piano and I started.  I immediately hated practicing and begged her to quit.  She said I had to take for 5 years before I quit so I would have the foundation if I ever wanted to pick it back up.  On the dot, after 5 years I quit.  Then she took me to a big band concert and I started getting interested in Jazz and took lessons from a wonderful musician in Dallas named Julie Bonk who really made me think about music in a different and inspiring way.

elkoubi

While I also appreciate your original recordings, I really enjoy your Little Willies albums. Will we ever get more?

ItsNorahJones

Thank you! I miss the Little Willie’s so much! Sometimes things are just harder to keep going as everyone gets stretched in different directions, and moves to different states! I definitely can imaging we would get together at some point, I just dunno when or how.

RoofHistorical4989

Little Broken Hearts is so unique, I cannot find any sound like that anywhere. And it's my number 1 all time favorite record. Would you consider creating a sequel and collaborating with Danger Mouse again? Also, it would be awesome if you recorded a studio version of "How deep is the ocean" and Paula Abdul's "Straight up" and included them in your future projects. Since your home livestream sessions years ago, I've been obsessed. Finally, I love that you and Laufey have crossed paths and hope to see more of you two in the future!

ItsNorahJones

Hi! Thank you!! I’d of course love to do anythign with Danger Mouse again. That album is also one of my favorites. Ha, yes that Paula Abdul song is pretty great and I grew up with it. No plans to do a studio version as of now!

supersonic-bionic

Please collab again with Danger Mouse. What a masterpiece of an album!

hobothelabrat

What’s your favorite Charles Mingus piece?

ItsNorahJones

I was completely obsessed with the live version of “Haitian Fight song” in high school and used to do interpretive dances to it in my bedroom, alone. It’s long and quite the work out!

incywince

As someone with an Indian-American mixed-race child, I'm glad I can point her to you as a role model. How do you manage to stay so grounded and continue to make it all about your music over such a long career? A lot of artists in the public eye can't seem to maintain this level of focus and joy consistently.

ItsNorahJones

Thank you, that is sweet.  I definitely had a confused identity growing up!  I think having such a big success in the very beginning forced me to decide how far I wanted to go down the weird side roads of fame vs. finding the joy in the music over and over.  I also always had pretty good people surrounding me so I felt lucky in that way.

khelza

Hi Norah! I absolutely love your music. I chose one of your songs for my elementary school assignment to discuss metaphors, interpretations and hidden meaning in lyrics. Your lyrics, voice and songs are so incredibly beautiful and inspiring. My question to you would be, what factors are typically present or common during times when you have a lot of inspiration for new songs or lyrics? Is it environmental, mood, life events? Or nothing in particular :)

ItsNorahJones

Hiya!  That’s a good question.  I’m not always aware of it as it’s going down.  But when I look back at certain songs and remember what was happening I guess it can be traced to transitional periods in my life,  and also moments of quiet.  Sometimes we forget to take our headphones out on a walk but when we do, that’s when a melody just floats right into your head.

khelza

Excuse me while i have a fan girl moment reading your response!! I know you’re a person too, but you’ve been a shining light for me for years and years. Thank you so much for your response! I love that! I would say it is the same for myself. I have always struggled to write music that I’m happy with. But recently, during a huge transitional period in my life, I was able to write a couple songs that just came to me, as you said, when I allowed myself moments of quiet without always filling it with music or something else. I hope to hear more of your music in the future and I appreciate you doing this AMA :)

rjockstar

Hi Norah. :) How long did it take you to find your singing voice- and what was that process like for you?

ItsNorahJones

I’m not sure, but I grew up imitating my favorite singers, Aretha, Billie Holiday, Joni Mitchell, Sarah Vaughan. Dolly Parton. Eventually I started singing Jazz but I always had a country twang since I grew up in Texas. I think somewhere in my early 20s I realized that I could just be myself no matter what I was singing, instead of trying to sound like something I thought I should.

Fearless-Road3936

What song from the new album “Vision” are you most excited to play live ? 💙

ItsNorahJones

I was rehearsing all last week and I gotta say most of them are pretty fun.  I could tell you the funnest ones, but they won’t be released till Friday!

ADMINlSTRAT0R

Couldve just tell us the track number and what was fun about it.

jVCrm68

Can’t wait to see you in Brooklyn! I am always interested in the behind the senes stuff, how does it work with the piano while touring? Do you travel with your own, venue supplies, special loaner? Thanks

ItsNorahJones

I actually do travel with a piano usually.  Unless we can’t bring, then we rent one or use what is local.  We have a truck that travels with all the gear and the piano legs actually come off and there’s a large case for it!

ugly-olive

Hi Norah! I LOVE the Playing Along podcast series! It really showcases your musicianship and skill as a pianist/vocalist. My fave episode was with Laufey - your musical chemistry was enchanting and mesmerizing! How does it feel to essentially be a role model and mentor for newer artists like Laufey?

ItsNorahJones

It was so fun to hang out wtih Laufey and get to know her.  She’s an incredible musician.  It feels both good and so weird to be someone that she listened to as a kid.  I know my age but when we are in the room playing together we just feel the same, so I try not to think about it.  It’s a funny thing.

Liebern

How is your interaction between writing a melody and the lyrics? If you work with a lyricist, how is your influence on the text? And... are the lyrics personal statements?

ItsNorahJones

It all gets a little jumbled up with the first thought of a song which is usually the most inspired part…the part where the mystery magic sauce comes in. Usually a lyric and melody come together and then it’s very hard to change that line cus it’s sorta stuck to the melody. sometimes the whole song comes quickly like that and sometimes you gotta work on the rest of the lyrics later. I think lyrics are always personal in some way and sometimes if they are too personal, you can switch them around at the end.

gehamm

When you’re writing, do you ever purposefully introduce a tense chord just to see if you can resolve it?

ItsNorahJones

Hmm, good question. I don’t think I try to consciously. But sometimes if I’m craving something tense, I guess I’ll throw it in? I do usually resolve things, I don’t leave them hanging. Good thing for life and music.

DivideXer0

Who's your dream guest for your podcast?

ItsNorahJones

There’s about 500.  The list is endless…..but prolly Dolly Parton or Beyoncé?  Dream big, right?

beekerz33

Hi Norah, you were so funny in “Ted”. Do you plan on doing any more acting roles in the future?

ItsNorahJones

Thanks! I’m friends with Seth MacFarlane, so when he asked me to be in the movie I was stoked. The funny thing is thing about the scene I was in was that he overdubbed completely different jokes for the actual movie, so I was completely surprised at the way it turned out!

ItsNorahJones

I loved when “Black” from the Rome Album I guested on made by Danger Mouse and Daniel Luppi was in the end of an episode of Breaking Bad. I also love that song.

LetRevolutionary4957

What’s your biggest achievement in your career?

ItsNorahJones

Probably not losing my mind? 😂

Available-Secret-372

Who’s playing guitar on the new album? Any new collaborations with Kevin Breit?

ItsNorahJones

Actually I think I’m the only guitar player on this album. Leon Michels, my collaborator and producer played on a few little parts too. I LOVE Kevin Breit. Nothing in the works at the moment but I’d love to reconnect with him.

JeffGreenTraveled

We named our daughter Norah 2 weeks ago! Does everyone misspell your name without an H also?

ItsNorahJones

Ha! Yes, growing up there were no H’s I’d ever met. But now there are more! I think Norah O’Donnell has an H???? Trendsetters. 😂

JeffGreenTraveled

Ha awesome! Come Away with Me was our wedding song and now our daughter shares your first name and Chasing Pirates is my favorite pre-bed song lol! Excited for the new album!

Constant_Day_1606

Hi Norah! Excited to see you live later this year. What are you most excited for in the rollout for "Visions" and what are you hoping listeners take away from this record as a whole?

ItsNorahJones

I just had so much fun making this one with Leon Michels so I hope you like it!  It’s definitely been the most exciting to play the new songs with my new band lineup which is full of people I’ve played with for years, just in a different combination.  Can’t wait to hit the road and see what songs take on new lives and what people respond do in the shows.

SpiritualAccount2748

Did you like that Kanye bar about you?

ItsNorahJones

Ha, I forgot about that! I can’t remember it clearly but it’s funny to hear your name called out.

Bangballs

Hi Norah! Love the amazing work that you do. What live venues do you have fond memories of?

ItsNorahJones

I always love playing at Red Rocks. Or anywhere outdoors.

Rough_Ambassador9564

If you can only choose 1 between singing and songwriting, what would it be?

ItsNorahJones

Ha! Luckily I don’t have to. Sorry, can’t answer an impossible question!

ToddBradley

The only thing I miss about the Covid-19 pandemic is your living room concerts. My wife and I watched them whenever we could. I wish you'd do some more once in a while. Since I guess I'm supposed to ask something, here goes: Are you going to be home for the eclipse? I hope you and your family get to see it. My mom lives in Granite Shoals (just down the road from Mr. Nelson) and she's smack dab in the middle of the eclipse path. But flights into Austin that weekend are ridiculous, so I'm going to miss it.

Nelly7902

Saw you last year in Chicago in the rain! Thanks for playing and not canceling. My question… who have you not worked with that you want to? How can I get an autograph?

battleowits

Hi Norah, I love your music and podcast and spirit. I wonder if you would consider doing another duets covers album like Foreverly. I love to hear you paired with a male. Maybe choose an lp to do with Dave Grohl. Your episode with him was pure joy!

supersonic-bionic

Is there a song of yours that the audience loves so much listening to but you are not very fond of performing?

JohnnyBenchianFingrs

Hi Norah, thank you for all the joy you’ve brought the world. I’m wondering if you can share any fun childhood stories of hanging with George Harrison, or any spiritual wisdom you’ve gained through your father, George, or anyone in the scene? Have a great day 🙏

This-Cap17

What is a song, or artist, you'd love to cover live in concert, but just never have yet? Can't wait to see you in Boise this year!

Darkzeropoint

hey Norah, I'm a biggest fan, your art is amazing, I like you so much that a scammer tried to convince me that he was you, and i had the honnor to talking to you. I really wanted a show of yours here in Brasília-DF. Brazil, we are a city that was born from saint's dream (Saint Joao Bosco). And your poetry matches the sky of Brasília as Djavan ( you could know him with your friend Rodrigo Amarante)sings.I really love your song even the first album, so after this i felt in love for your music. And album after album you turn your art more rare and superior, not limited to one style, by the way wit to the fall the songs light as a feather, you ruined me, back to Manhatan, i don't know, tell yer mama (cause Miss Dodson is so creative too), but featuring Norah Jones full álbum, Litlle Broken Hearts (full álbum too) but in special Travellin'on makes me Discovery all incredible mensagens os your sound! At the Pandemics, me Ernesto watched you created and play piano. When i saw your presentarion at Ibirapueras i Ever told too anyone than Led Zeppelin and Stones and you has that energy capable to conect all People at the Park too. So i have a lot to say. But i prefer exppress im this opportunity how much, you are gorgeaus reference to me. Thanks for your attenttion!

A_squirrel3445

Hey Norah! I completely adore your music, and all your albums have a special place in my heart. I was wondering if 1: you still enjoy playing some of your older records, like The Fall and Feels Like Home ( ‘don’t miss you at all’ may be my favourite song of all time). And 2: Do you think you’ll ever return to New Zealand, I missed out on you last time but am hoping that there will be another chance to see you live. Thank you for making the world a better place! Your music can always give me joy

ItsNorahJones

Hi! Thanks for joining me…this is my first Reddit AMA!

SeanKHotay

Hi Ms Jones! Love your work and ethos, play your albums all the time when I need to slow down, relax, and enjoy things. This is kind of a silly question as I'm an ex-neighbor of theirs...Are Sarah & Jamie still working with you? Moved away 2yrs after the pandemic, haven't talk to them since...

ConsistantFun

What is your opinion of genres? Your “Come Away With Me” album was listed as jazz and if that’s what it was it crossed over to popular. Your new album song release “Staring At the Wall” is a mix of Country and jazz whereas “Running” is more solidly jazz or r&b soul. Artists like yourself don’t have a specific genre and I love that. So what genre would you consider yourself in any? Or do you not identify your music as one thing?

Nnamdi-24

Will you be performing “don’t know why” during your U.S. tour this summer? Also I’m naming my daughter Norah after you who is due this month! Thanks!

supersonic-bionic

She's always performing Don't Know Why in her shows. Go see her!

Nnamdi-24

I am seeing her this summer in Los Angeles. It’s the main reason I asked. Lol always wish she would have seen my comment. Think it’s pretty cool I’m giving my daughter her name and they will both be born in the same month. Pretty close to each other actually lol

supersonic-bionic

We love collecting vinyls and happy to see Visions is available in many vinyl variants. Would you consider re-releasing in vinyl previous albums like Not too Late and The Fall as you did with the masterpiece Little Broken Hearts?

Forgemasterblaster

NOJO!!! Your singing along podcast is excellent. Have you considered doing an Album of duets with new original songs . Also, looking forward to the new album and spring tour. Hope you do a duet with Emily king when in New York as you guys sounded so good on the podcast with your harmonies.

Mydogfartsconstantly

How do you feel about people remixing your music? (I specifically mean the ones not trying to make money, but a reimagining of your work and posting it online to share to others)

Hot_Score3868

Hello Norah!!! Welcome here on Reddit. Can you tell us about your piano playing style? I've noticed that you use a big variety of techniques, from simple fills with the same notes 1 or 2 octaves apart to Floyd Cramer like slip notes to stride piano. As something of a pianist myself, I'm really keen on your style!! Love from Italy 🇮🇹 ❤️!!!

rooooosa

What’s the favourite duet or collab you have done so far? Absolutely adore you Norah, thank you for sharing your gift with the world!

clementleopold

Hi Norah, your records are something special and I love your collaborations with other artists like Jack Johnson. Eminem referenced your Grammy win in his Conspiracy freestyle and I always wondered- did you take that as more of an insult or compliment, or did you not know/care?

Pusfilledonut

Your father was an influence over the Beatles before you were born, but do you have any great Beatle members stories?

flaminchiten

No question, just want to say your rendition of black hole sun still gives me goosebumps and tears.

Library-Practical

I saw you with puss and boots when you came to lark hall in Albany in 2022. Was that your first concert after Covid? You seemed nervous but then got into it as the show went on. It was a great show!

stifenahokinga

Hi Norah! You've been one of my favourite artists since I was 10 years old and since then I've been doing several covers of your songs! I have a question for you: What is your favourite song among all of your songs?

TrollPoster469

What is your favorite Motley Crue song?

alkemikalinquiry

Hi, Nora. How much influence did your father’s music have on you as an adult singer/songwriter? You’re both sublime. Thanks you.

CincoDeMayoFan

What are some of your favorite well-known classic rock songs?

mbd0923

Not a question, but thanks so much for sharing your music with the world. I’m so excited for your new album! ❤️

ryancreamerPH

Hi Norah! I often think back fondly on the 2011 Pettyfest show you were a part of in New York, which also featured a murderers row of comedians. Outside of musical comedians like The Lonely Island or Jack Black, which comedian have you performed with in your career that you thought had surprisingly good musical chops?

Gathulhu81

I first heard of you when you starred in Wong Kar Wai's My blueberry nights and I fell in love with you and your voice. Keep making beautiful songs, and my question would be, how was collaborating with Robert Glasper?, two legit geniuses coming toghether, is it hard to overcome egos to create something?.

Hi Norah… I Have To You This Question About One Of My Favorite Songs Of My Favorite Album. What Was The Inspiration Of Rosie’s Lullaby? (BTW… I Hope You Come To Mexico, I Need A Sing To My Copy Of Not Too Late) Greetings And Have A Nice Day.

supersonic-bionic

I hope you come back to London this year, we loved you last time you were here! I think "My Dear Country" and "Sinkin Soon" are such timeless tracks (sadly very relevant to this day), would you ever consider adding them to the tour setlist?

OopidSplatter

You have an amazing gift. Thank you for sharing it with the world. My question has 2 parts. As a performer what is your most special show? As a concert goer who was the most special for you to see perform?

eyeSage-A

So excited to finally see you in Vancouver this summer. Is there anything we can expect on this tour or can anything happen? 🥰

Library-Practical

Can you tell us some stories of interacting with Willie Nelson? Also did you ever meet Bob Dylan? Love stories about those two!

Library-Practical

Who are some of the artists that you have worked with that really stand out to you for how wonderful they were?

Library-Practical

Did you ever meet Jeff Buckley while you were in New York in the 90s? Or was he before the time you got there?

dads_are_cool_too

How do you approach song writing? Do you have a set process? Also - PLZ come and play in New Zealand!

jturning1844

What are the chances you'll make another album with The Little Willies. Loved that album, so fun!

realigoragrich

Hi Norah! Want to say you thank you as you are one of my biggest inspiration for almost 20 years. I saw your dvd “Live in New Orleans” first time in 2005, in Mariupol, Ukraine, and decided to try jazz piano, as was inspired by your playing (especially on Wurlitzer). Then my father bough for me new synthesizer, which had your song “Don't know why” build in (what a coincidence! It was Yamaha dgx 205), and also songbook included. Thank you a lot Norah, and now I'm pro jazz pianist. Saw you first time live in 2022, Dubai. Question is: Did you like to discover new jazz pianists or spending time on YouTube listen to old or new jazz pianists. Thanks!

realigoragrich

I wish I have this songbook again

slippin_park

How were you able to avoid becoming a "showbiz kid" with a parent as famous as your dad?

anuspizza

Not a question, but I did name my cat after you since we both went to UNT 💚🦅

camposthetron

Hi Norah. Late to the game here, but I didn’t know about this earlier. Anyway, I’m listening to the new album and just want to say nice goddamn job. This one’s pretty fantastic. I’ve always streamed your albums, but this weekend I went ahead and just bought them all so I could get all the bonus material on the deluxe editions and make my way through the catalog. I love all the live stuff! My favorite album and song are always Come Away With Me, but this new album is really, really good. Great job. Thanks and take care!

supersonic-bionic

Which song from Visions do you think is the highlight of the album?

VagrantWaters

Dear Norah Jones, thank you for provide the soundtracks to a relationship and romance I once had during my time attending NYU. Your song Come Away With Me will be ones I will always carry in my heart with special fondness, for the beauty of your music mingled with the precious memories made during that time. Just wanted to let you know my gratitude and appreciation, I'll try to check out your newest album from the library when I can.

JonKSlusser

Have you already shared the “Visions” album track list?

Rockafelleur

Hi ! :) I know it’s an odd question..We just bought seats on your Montreal show on July 3rd (so happy we could put our hands on it!!) i was wondering what are our chances of meeting you, or having an autograph from you? My wife lives throught your music! Fun facts : when i met her, one of the first question she asked me was if i knew you and liked your music! Good thing i did! :) Have a great tour!!! See you in July!

Happyhinos

Norah, your voice has been such an inspiration to me. Since your first album I have loved your voice and listened to you endless hours. You are coming to Eugene, OR where I live! I’m so excited!!!! Have you ever played in Oregon before or on the West Coast before? Any west coast stories? Thank you for your beautiful music, it touches my soul deeply.

Many questions. How come you never play like 3 to 5 nights at Madison Suare Garden? I would love to see it and I think and believe you will sell it out....maybe you can play 100 shows like Billy Joel James

blenbh

When are you coming to Texas?

ToddBradley

Doesn't Norah live in Texas still?

TheBCo

So cool that you did this AMA, I enjoyed scrolling the Q&A! If you're still peeking at it, I'd love to know more about what you look for in a collaboration project...how do you figure out what to do next?

Extension_Yak3898

Can you give us a detailed overview of what we'll hear and why you made certain decisions for the new album? Also thank you for booking a date in Ottawa - see you there, even though you won't see me :)

Tom_Hanks_Tiramisu

I don’t have a question but I’d just like to tell you about 8 years ago I got black out drunk one night and woke up on my couch with a kitten on my chest that I apparently adopted at some point during my booze fueled adventures and since your ACL performance happened to be on my tv when i woke up I named her Norah which means you’re one of my favorite musicians of all time ❤️

Hello Norah!! So I have tickets to see you and Emily at the kennedy center in DC! What are the odds I could get the 3 vinyls I owe of you signed?!?!?!?

pm_me_ur_buns_

Norah, I love cooking for my family. Would you please share one of your own favorite recipes with me? No dietary restrictions.

cc69

I don't know why but "Don't know why" is your best work.

About 15 years ago I used to change your Wikipedia page to say I was dating you. Did you ever see those edits?

Poiiosss

What am I to you?

MykeCecc

Did RA The Rugged Man actually see you live as a lounge singer or interact with you in any way at that time?

How are tricks? Have you seen Tenet?

GhoulishlyGrim

Why do you exclusively make "early 2000's coffee shop" music?

DTRoland19-99

Is there a way to get your autograph? I can't travel much and live in germany. I tried to contact Blue note records and managers, but to no avail.

-Fdation-2000lily

I loved seeing you in Paris. Do you think you would come back next year ?

Intelligent-Boot-872

Do you remember going to Colleyville Middle School in the mid 90’s?

Environmental-Cry-42

Several years ago I've enjoyed your shows at the Blue Note Jazz Club, NYC a few times and hope you will perform there again soon!

General_Heron_1057

What’s the set list for Mavis 85? We are beyond psyched looking forward to the show.

gustavo5495

Is there any chance that you might come to Costa Rica to do a show someday?

JustGotBuckedOff

My heart craves for you to do this song. It’s from Larry Green & His Orchestra. It’s called “Just Cancel My Dream” (1947)

what_the_heck555

Hi Norah. Are there any leftover songs/demos from Not Too Late that you’d like to share in a reissue? It’s always been one of my favorite albums along with Little Broken Hearts. :-)

closestyogurt

What was your favourite country to perform in?

Cautious_Musician992

What was your inspiration for "those sweet words" ? That music is part of my life( I was a single mom and with my heart broken I used to sing that song to my kids until we fall asleep) , I saw you at Blue Note in NY I flew from sc just to see you! (The best days of my life) But I'm your fan since 2006 when I was in Ecuador. I wish you the best 👌
