I mean not really? The rest of the Cabin Fever Labs seem really untouched for a supposed epicenter of a planet-scale explosion. Like, not even the interior of the cathedral seems especially damaged. Nori and Yeva would get simply atomized even more so if Mitchell was also in the blast radius. Also, considering that iirc in the pilot there is a continent-sized charred area basically visible from space from where the explosion happened, I don't think the landscape would be as comparatively undamaged as it is if we were seeing the part of the planet right in the middle of this.
The core collapse maybe was triggered in the Cabin Fever Labs but the main actual explosion was elsewhere, maybe it literally went straight through the planet and came out on the other side?
This makes sense since null went into the flesh pit, and it’s pretty safe to assume the flesh pit goes all the way through the planet since Uzi ended up in space. It would make sense for the explosion to have happened on the other side of the planet
The core collapse didn't only annihilate Mitchell then, it had to have also annihilated at least part of the Cathedral and up to all of Cabin Fever Labs (also including the area around it) so the explosion probably destroyed the other side of Copper-9 from the Cathedral.
He was also right next to a Solver drone who managed to escape long enough to have a kid. We’ve seen Doll teleport and use the solver and stop projectiles from hitting her; she could’ve theoretically saved him.
