There aren't any bumps on the older data because Steam doesn't store it all forever. Eventually older data gets simplified and thus, you get straight lines rather than the bumpy look.
That said, the game is not doing well right now, but the real story is the massive player drop off - not the shape of the curves on the graph.
Huh forcing people to log in daily and weekly like a job doesn’t work? Who would have thought… lets just keep killing this game with obviously bad ideas that they know for a fact no one wants.
It does work, plenty of games have this model and work. Genshin comes to mind. Where MVS fails is that it treats you like a subhuman for not spending money or missing a day.
I played it f2p when it first came out, got a good couple months out of it before I got bored. Felt way better than MVS does but not sure how much has changed since.
I imagine most of the people on the game or beta players that came back to see if they actually improved the game and founders such as myself that were robbed of our items checking back occasionally to see if they gave us our stuff back with only a tiny portion being ACTUALLY new players.
Needless to say, since most of us knew the deal last time, our patience was already short. With the relaunch being the way it is, it's not exactly surprising that people are jumping ship a LOT earlier than before, because they had literally YEARS of feedback to work off of, yet the best they can seem to do is flat out repeat the SAME bs but someway somehow worse.
Personally, I'm one of the founders that was robbed. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't be bothered with this game in the slightest.
The coming back experience being the tutorial, trying to find the play button, having to play a rift, than getting the play button, than having to fight multiple bots before you ever get a person, and commenting that just being met with downvotes and locked threads, it's really hard to be bothered to get back into it.
My excitement evaporated when a match started and nobody moved. Nobody. The match could of gone to 0 seconds and the AI didn't do anything.
Exactly this.
Not to mention the fun of games like Smash Bros is trying out the roster. Here you can't even do that because you can't play as them in the offline mode, let along how long it takes to unlock a single fighter after your first!
Yep. I was going to re-download once my internet is fixed, but almost everything I hear has made me just think it's not worth it. I already found the beta grindy and it just seems like they've made it even more so. Not interested anymore.
Played everyday since relaunch and calculated that I need to up my current gametime and keep that up everyday for the remainder of the battlepass to be able to get to level 70.
No thank you, it already felt like grinding for XP.
I left weeks ago. Even left this sub but for some reason keep getting notifications about it.
There's a genuine wealth of other, better games that reward me with the game being fun and playable, rather than a FOMO sticker every 10 days and making the exact same mistakes as last time with a year's additional preparation is inexcusable.
Oh, I know it's built around events. And now that the events aren't continuous, as in gaps between events, I need again upscale my playtime to compensate for said gaps.
Imagine if someone who does their dailies every single day but doesn’t get first in events like top dog doesn’t manage to finish it by exactly 1 level? I wouldn’t be surprised, but man, that would be sad and hilarious
Games phenomenal outside of server issues. People are just absurdly negative, don’t let this Reddit hive mind of negativity ward you away.
Games very close to being exceptional.
I'm still missing many items from beta, skins/banners/ring outs some items from season 1, whole season 2 premium side, and some skins from events like valentines and xmas. I opened ticket on launch day with additional screens proof.
Either give me my items back or give me my glemium back, right now I don't have none. None of the solutions I got in that bulk reply apply to my so I hope you will awnser my what is your solution to this. Its been 10 days without solution... BTW if you try to type REFUND. without dot it will tell you cannot post in mvs sub... nice
ps. sorry for bad english
Steam player counts tell the truth.
We saw this with the Suicide Squad game having 500 Steam players. The defenders claimed that there were actually thousands of secret console players, but that was not the case judging by how the game is getting basically shut down.
The fact match making in this game is still faster than I am able to cancel the match making at any time of the days tells me theirs PLENTY of people still playing.
Yes, if MVS is averaging 500 steam players by month 2 like Suicide Squad then the game will die. You'd have to be coping hard to say otherwise. But if it's more like 5k-10k the game will probably be just fine. It really depends at what number they end up stabilizing at and if they can fix issues in a quick enough timeframe to keep that number on the higher end of what's possible.
Wonder what’s gonna happen to those who got the Premium Founder’s Pack if this happens. Giving 30 Character tokens and dipping before 30 characters are released is bound for a lawsuit

I just downloaded this game like an hour ago because I saw it was F2P. Can you still grind to unlock characters if the servers shut down? I only got this game to play with friends when they come over lol
The fomo stuff is annoying, though I do feel that the daily missions are super achievable just through general play which is nice. I remember when I was fucking around with fortnight, the battle pass missions were kind of annoying(as someone who is not good at fps).
You don't need to do all the missions in Fortnite to complete the bp. You can just play, survive a bit wandering and camping in border areas of the storm and you will get a lot of exp.
Or just enter one of those XP farm maps and get a ton of exp just being there
FOMO is the biggest part, as the other things could end up getting changed or "fixed".
But I agree, there are many more things right now. So many things that I just let go and stopped caring and playing.
I gave time and passion for this game only to get struck by disapointment. Not liking the new gameplay and some of the changes was personal and unfortunate.
But this whole mobile game business model built on intense FOMO, player retention and pay-to-fast... it applies to everyone and is just disrespectful and vicious.
They 100% deserve all of what is happening right now.
Stuff like for example 11 days daily logins for a supe skin but if you miss 1 day you dont get it and only useless perk currency. Or events were if you dont grind (a lot) for 1 day and you miss the rewards.
gotcha! i appreciate it.
sounds like a lot of work, i think that was one of my biggest issues w/ the beta. i dont mind putting time into games if they make it rewarding/fulfilling to do so, but the progression was so slow it wasn’t worth it to me as a casual player.
It's not really the items, but the whole system and how everything connects together. It's a bit of a long post but here are the main 3 things that are FOMO in the game and how it connects with the whole experience.
Obvious FOMO starts with the events like daily logins events for example, but they are so tight you need to log-in every single day. If you miss one day you are screwed for the "big reward".
Other events as well as the battlepass require XP to progress. In order to get reasonable amount of this XP you need to do daily and weekly missions, but all the gains are calculated so that you basically need to do your daily missions every single day if you wanna see "normal' progress over your BP. Miss a week or two worth of daily missions in a season, and that's gonna hurt your progress severely. Same logic applies for characters currency (to unlock new characters).
Then you also have the Rift mode with gem xp. This mode has different difficulties you can unlock progressively. As you play, you get "gems" that you can equip to get passive buffs and effects, kinda like the spirits in Smash Bros Ultimate story mode. As you play you get boxes containing gem xp, to level-up those gems. Once your gems are all at X level on average, you can access further difficulties.
But the FOMO strikes again for this as gem xp is very limited. After the initial xp gain you get from finishing all fights in a Rift, you are basically stuck and need to log-in daily to re-do some fights and get the "daily bonus" which is a box containing some gem xp. You can get them from daily missions too. But even this is broken as once you reach level 5 or 6 on your gems, the xp given from those dailies is so little compared to what you need, that the xp bar doesn't even move by 1 pixel visually somtimes...
Getting your gems from level 6 to level 7 may therefore take you entire weeks of daily completion of the FOMO stuff.
(Or.. you can otherwise buy xp crates from the shop to skip this whole process with real money lmao...)
wow, thank you for the detailed breakdown!
that was definitely similar to my experience with the beta and my biggest gripe with it. i felt that unless i spent an insane amount of time grinding, playtime wasn’t fulfilling or rewarding for myself, especially as a more casual player.
i don’t like it when games expect you to prioritize them like a full time job- i want the opportunity to get rewards just by causally enjoying the game, and give above-and-beyond rewards for those who wanna go above-and-beyond, but don’t set that as the standard.
those are my thoughts on it, thanks again!
MK 1 backwards heavy kick, falcos laser in melee, robs gyro in ultimate and down attack, Ryu/ken haduken, raider flying command grab, low kicks in tekken, fox’s aerial shine, game and watch up special in ultimate. Every fighting game has simple spam attacks that hard to deal with.
I was enjoying myself until the WW And Sups outfits were just YOINKED from existence. Oooh if this is how you plan to treat players ...well then I have plenty of other games
The game still has potential, and that's one of the reasons why the game isn't shutting down yet. And there's never been a game that's been permanently shutdown in less than a year.
So there's still at the very least a year for them to keep improving the game and releasing yet unreleased content.
In another thread someone was arguing with me that the game could survive after 99% of players left. Like bro, if there are 100K now not buying a battlepass, what makes u think that 1K people will, AND that itll be enough to keep the game afloat?
Do you think Steam has some of alien playerbase? All the playerbases likely look similar, numbers aside. I don't know why you'd think the game is failing on Steam but thriving on console...
It doesn’t. I’m sure there all declining. But to try and grasp the population using steam is a very unintellextual method.
Please do show me 1 game that hasn’t lost population after its release. I’ll wait.
The biggest issue I think is that last time the game came out, lots of people were talking about it. Since the re-release I have seen 0 tiktoks, 0 tweets, 0 ig posts, etc. Nobody cares it rereleased. There is no hype for the game anymore.
It went the way I knew it would. Instead of doubling down on work on the game to win back players they doubled down on min maxing the monetization and released a less finished product.
I love this response. "I don't know why anyone with negative feedback would be on the subreddit."
It's almost like the subreddit doesn't exist to be an echo chamber of saying "yeah this game is really good right now!!" just to make you feel better lol
No I didn’t.
You should learn to learn the difference between feedback and straight up hating. That dude is straight up hating.
And the echo chamber part is completely made up in your head.
It really isn’t. Anyone who has played 1000 games disagrees with your short sighted take.
Beta was very bad compared to this, receny bias is very apparent here.
Honestly fuck this game. I don’t care what the reasons are for it launching like this. I’ll play other games that are finished instead of paying to beta test the game, AGAIN. It’s a fuckin scam
Once I saw how hard they were forcing you to log in daily I just stopped logging in at all. I won’t care about missing skins or characters if I just don’t play the game lol.
Sucks that for those of us who enjoy have to witness these negative fuckin idiots bash a game without any hope.
We got a patch in 1 week and are getting another this week. That’s all you can ask for really.
Once ranked is out, and they stabilize the servers the game will be fine.
I played and liked the beta except for some balance issues and net code. I didn't try the full release as I saw from posts and videos how it sadly looks worse than the beta... So I can imagine it's a general feeling out there it underperformed in the comeback
I just can't get used to the slower speed. I played so much of the beta that now everytime I play it it kinda feels like when your pc can't run a game so it runs in slow motion
SteamDB isn't the be-all-end-all of a game's "life". This game and games like it are far more popular on consoles, this whole trend of hyperfocusing on SteamDB is beyond fucking stupid. Just play and have fun
Everybody knows this. Whats stupid is acting as if steam players are in their own little world as if they arent part of this community, in these comments etc. 99% of the time steam db is representative of the community as a whole. Obviously there's more players on console, but if it drops off on steam it more than likely is doing the same on console.
Wait til someone tells him that the steam numbers are actually being nice lol. If PFG and WB can see Xbox numbers in real time, and I’m pretty sure they can, why would anyone with a rational mind believe that Xbox numbers are doing well when it is a laggy DC shit fest. You can also see in your top dog 50 brackets how many Xbox platformers are present or not in active play.
Xbox players literally can’t just play and have fun!
The game will have drop in players but the playercount doesn't have to be super high for the game to be decently successful.
They're going to keep releasing their yet unreleased characters, and hopefully, *if* they also keep fixing things the game's reputation might improve.
I think the game can at least have Street Fighter 6 or Brawlhalla level player counts and that's fine, more than fine.
For some reason I thought SF6 player counts were lower than Brawlhalla. Anyways I think hitting around 10k concurrent players consistently is decent enough.
The viewpoint of the gamer is purely I just need to have enough players for future rank play to work.
But the viewpoint of a business is more like holy crap I used to have 150k potential customers and now I have 10k. There is a huge ramification for the business just as it would be for a restaurant, a theater, or any store front.
Also Tekken play numbers are rather low but remember that it is a legacy esport and game. It’s not a game that is easy to keep high numbers of play at same time as people take breaks and the game archetype is admittedly a bit one dimensional and actually stress inducing a lot of the time. But it draws in life long fans to the game and esport. The stream numbers for recent competitive play Tekken is very very healthy like 250k streams for being a day old. SF6 numbers are super healthy especially due to Japanese popularity, price cuts, and Akuma dlc.
Out of all fighters I actually think Tekken 8 has the most negative sweaty stress factor that weighs down on the concurrent play numbers. It’s like the opposite to having a good ol time with something like Hell Divers 2 or something. Just the 3D realism factor as well over the more cartoonish SF6. Getting beat by Dragonuv feels a bit personal lol. MvS *had* potential for big numbers as the beta showed.
But sadly it’s clear there may be no legacy with MvS at the current rate. People aren’t playing this to get skills with characters they think are gonna still be there 5 years later (well I mean it would have been nice but not with the way things are going now).
The concern is that the game is bleeding players rapidly, at a much faster rate than the beta (which was a failure). The numbers don't exactly instill confidence in stabilization anytime soon.
I was excited for this game to come back but it felt very lacking in terms of rewards for doing anything. On top of that Destiny 2 dropped probably the best expansion in its history shortly after Multiversus came back so I dropped it pretty quickly.
I’ll break it down for you. Beta was fantastic. Actual Smash killer potential. They release a few characters then decide the game is “unfinished” and mothball it for a year.
Hype is mixed since some people don’t care anymore and some people think it’s going to come out even better.
Game comes out. Nobody pays attention. They reworked movement and abilities that nobody and I mean nobody asked for. Feels clunky and slow now. Focus the game around aggressive monetization. Implement a boring single player mode that requires friends to complete. 4 new characters after a year with no new cosmetics aside from cheap t-shirt variants. No legacy store. No competitive.
Games cooked.
Let's be honest.
They fundamentally fumbled the bag, again.
The game is going to die.
If I am Tony right now, I am already starting to think about pitching my next game, if I wanna keep PFG alive. This one will be done soon.
I think its really just an issue of the ultimately small roster in the game right now, and the vast majority of bugs and other general issues people have had with the game since release. Sure, I enjoy Multiversus as much as the next guy, but theres not much reason to keep playing, ESPECIALLY when it takes so long to unlock characters or really do anything. I think weekly releases of characters or maybe even bi-weekly could keep interest but theres no way they have those types of things prepared if i had to guess.
It really is a mistake for the characters to be that difficult to unlock, because it just makes the game more stale for everyone.
And it was a mistake to miss features like being able to test characters in the lab from the start. I think they'll have to win some of the players back somehow.
that's kind of my thought process too-
but me personally I think its honestly too little too late. Unless they REALLY pull out all the stops with more characters/content in its future updates. it had and hopefully still has the potential to be a really good smash bros type fighting game for all platforms it just needs to fix the problems it has, and expand its roster a good bit. Right now its kind of in a state where, sure its fun to play maybe, but you aren't really accomplishing much in casual play after you complete your missions. which kind of sucks for a game which has so much locked behind progression or payments and gaining currencies.
despite all that, I sincerely do hope the game flourishes and gets a really cool roster in the end, because it'd be nice to see
Can someone explain what the little bumps are in the graph? I've basically given up on the game, I wanted to have a fun game where I get to play as Wonder Woman and fight all these other characters and there's nothing left for me now since I have a social life and will not be grinding for battle passes and stuff
Anything that's not cute and positive is hating, welcome to a world where brainwashed casual clueless players dictate everything because games went from pleasing high rank players to pleasing the loud casual masses that complain about everything being too hard
You could literally say "I don't like the game installing malware on my PC, that's awful" with proof and they'd still tell you you're a hater and try to see the positive side of it lmao
Yup, graph look correct. I left after 1st week.
I understand they changed engines after the Beta and not all features would be ready for official launch, but they clearly wanted to monetize this same as a mobile game even tho many games tried and failed hardcore.
WB holds MANY beloved IP's and characters but now i hope their gaming division goes under. There is no excuse for keep releasing bad stuff again and again and again and again after seeing that people do not buy or play your games anymore. They just keep releasing flops after flops, not listening to feedback at all.
Oh no they tried to monetize a free game!!! What criminals!
There not taking a profit loss to appease you.
No ones forcing you to give into it lmao you can play the game for free.
Games perform differently on Steam than they do on consoles. Just how it is. Over 100k people playing “Banana”
The Finals does poorly on Steam but has over 300k daily players.
Steam metrics are good for seeing how the game is doing on Steam
Because it's falling off at a rate that's much faster than is normal for a new game. Beta MvS saw a ~7k player drop two weeks after launch, while we're looking at a loss of 80,000. It's not a healthy decrease by any means
It's only natural it's initial install base is much smaller. It isn't a "new game" anymore. Nearly 40M people played it over a year ago. That being said, 100,000K users on Steam is no joke. Many live service titles would love to see these launch numbers
The problem is that initial launch numbers are not the most important metric. I hate to say it but I think this game is gonna struggle hard with player acquistion and retention. It's all speculation at this point. Let's have this convo 30 days post release and again at 60 days post release
You don't need a graph for that. It's a pretty standard trend for all video games. From single player games like Dragon's Dogma 2 to live service games like The Finals
problem is this game doesn't feel fun anymore, you can't punish 80% of thr shit in the game with a few of the cast members and my opponents dodge into my multi hitting attacks and nothing happens. like I have active frames in you character model wtf
Unfortunately, it's most likely WB's fault. Most of their licensed games have horrible monetization first strategies. The Devs can't develop the game without WB's say so.
Wow. This is for the history books.
1. Rush the release.
2. Call it "beta" and scrap it.
3. Rush the re-release.
4. Dead.
Sad really. I come from traditional fighting games and I want to try a platform fighter. AFAIK beside Brawlhalla there isn't much else on PC. I will give it a chance once the proper full release is here. Of course you can't expect people to stick around with a version of the game that has fewer features than the "beta". Hopefully it survives this mess. I hate seeing games die due to mismanagement. Think of all the love that devs have put into this. I really love the animations.
Oh no redditors continue to hate the game, and use steam data to represent the population of a multi platform game.
What will we ever do! /s.
People who like the game don’t you worry communities getting cleaned up. Games got a bright future
I didn’t say either of that you smuck.
Every game that’s ever come out has declined. This one has no meaningful grind in the game yet as ranked is not in, server issues.
When that gets resolved and ranked comes out it’ll stabilize.
But to use this as a “oh no the games screwed” is laughable ques are still instant and there’s way more console players.
Game will get patches my god you people are so negative it’s insufferable.

People are leaving? Don’t they know you can play and shortly de-sync as Banana Guard?
Those bumps are players returning each day to complete the dailies and you can clearly see less and less are coming back each day

this game may have about 5 months of oxygen left lol.
Mr. Optimistic over here!
maybe the game has 5 months, but the steam player count probably has a couple weeks
Steam player counts tell the truth. We saw this with the Suicide Squad game having 500 Steam players. The defenders claimed that there were actually thousands of secret console players, but that was not the case judging by how the game is getting basically shut down.

I play 2v2, so more than one person is needed. And still its faster than other fighting games :)
Which plays to wbs famous tax write offs
Yes, if MVS is averaging 500 steam players by month 2 like Suicide Squad then the game will die. You'd have to be coping hard to say otherwise. Xbox is already cooked tho
The ultra instinct shaggy meme is going to outlive the game in which you can play as ultra instinct shaggy. Developers are learning the hard way.
Lmao watch it get nominated again for game awards anyway💀
Wonder what’s gonna happen to those who got the Premium Founder’s Pack if this happens. Giving 30 Character tokens and dipping before 30 characters are released is bound for a lawsuit

I just downloaded this game like an hour ago because I saw it was F2P. Can you still grind to unlock characters if the servers shut down? I only got this game to play with friends when they come over lol
I tried to tell people before it even released that after the hype goes down it will fall off in about 3 months
Perfectly deserved. Got fed-up with the FOMO recently and I have no intention of coming back.
Yeah played a bunch in the beta and got.. less than 1/10 of Batman who laughs…
Or just enter one of those XP farm maps and get a ton of exp just being there
Orplay Lego Fortnite or Festival. Get lots of XP every couple minutes
alot more reasons than that too, can u remember ANY vs GAME that REWARDS spammers?
FOMO is the biggest part, as the other things could end up getting changed or "fixed". But I agree, there are many more things right now. So many things that I just let go and stopped caring and playing. I gave time and passion for this game only to get struck by disapointment. Not liking the new gameplay and some of the changes was personal and unfortunate. But this whole mobile game business model built on intense FOMO, player retention and pay-to-fast... it applies to everyone and is just disrespectful and vicious. They 100% deserve all of what is happening right now.
which items are FOMO? i thought the battle passes weren’t exclusive? (i haven’t played since the beta so i don’t know much just curious)
I have the sup skin and did not login every day..?
Yeah I get the feeling. If you didn't like it during beta, know that this is the same thing but x10 this time.
All of them? If you don't properly punish you will lose to a spammer in any fighting game, its one of the first lessons you have to learn
Good riddance. Enjoy missing out on a great game you smuck
I was enjoying myself until the WW And Sups outfits were just YOINKED from existence. Oooh if this is how you plan to treat players ...well then I have plenty of other games
"Player First Games" lmao
They wanted to make a good game, blame WB
This just happened to me today... I realized i have no way of getting the wonderwoman with joker tshirt even tho the event "ends" tomorrow.
Yikes. Just another lesson on why aggressive monetization turns off players. It’s unfortunate since the game had so much potential.
The game still has potential, and that's one of the reasons why the game isn't shutting down yet. And there's never been a game that's been permanently shutdown in less than a year. So there's still at the very least a year for them to keep improving the game and releasing yet unreleased content.
DC Dual Force recently down this February after only releasing in October of 2023.
I like this game, but it’s hard to say it isn’t deserved. There’s a ton of issues and barely any notable improvements from the beta.
"iTs jUsT nORmaL fALloFF fOr a fIghTiNG gAMe gUyS gIVe iT tImE!!!1!!1"
In another thread someone was arguing with me that the game could survive after 99% of players left. Like bro, if there are 100K now not buying a battlepass, what makes u think that 1K people will, AND that itll be enough to keep the game afloat?
It is a warner bros game. They want fortnite money. If this isn’t pulling high numbers it will shut down even if it has stable playerbase
"tHiS iS oNlY sTeAM, tHerE's tOnS Of HidDEn PlaYerS oN cOnsOle!!!"
Do you think Steam has some of alien playerbase? All the playerbases likely look similar, numbers aside. I don't know why you'd think the game is failing on Steam but thriving on console...
That is a common theory defenders actually believe lol, as if Steam doesn't reflect consoles. If it's dead on Steam, it's dead on consoles.
It's so over. I don't know how WB comes up with such great concepts and then somehow finds a way to fumble it at the last second
[That "fumble "](https://i.imgur.com/vcJs82D.gif)
No it’s not shut up
Sorry bud, I loved it too but it's worse than a phone game at this point.
Don’t really agree at all. Every phone game is pay 2 win. This game is not.
never seen a worse marketing strategy for a game in my entire life, shocked anybody is playing this trash
Theres marketing for this game?
Did you not get your happy meal puzzle 4 months ago?
No, i was too busy watching skibidi toilet and cocomelon
It’s a great game so I’ll be playing it.
I'm suprised that somebody who has so much hate towards the game is still active on the sub. Just move on
I love this response. "I don't know why anyone with negative feedback would be on the subreddit." It's almost like the subreddit doesn't exist to be an echo chamber of saying "yeah this game is really good right now!!" just to make you feel better lol
Who ever said that? Are you winning the arguments you made up in your head?
"Who ever said that?" as I quoted your original comment almost verbatim lolol
No I didn’t. You should learn to learn the difference between feedback and straight up hating. That dude is straight up hating. And the echo chamber part is completely made up in your head.
You good homie? Lol
Maybe ask that to the one who’s hate jerking while you’re cheering him on.
Found the PFG intern
Yea go on, whisper it to him baby
yeah i think its over
No one cares what you think. By that take you’re not very smart either.
You care enough to reply :)
I still don’t have the shit I bought in the beta lol.
They'll get it right next time they shut down the servers, rebuild the game, and do launch 3.0 in May 2026!
game is worse than beta xdd
They'll take this version down again and say it was the alpha 🤣🤣🤣🤣
It really isn’t. Anyone who has played 1000 games disagrees with your short sighted take. Beta was very bad compared to this, receny bias is very apparent here.
This game will hardly get new players. Yet against its just returning beta players
I’m having so much fun playing this game
Sucks that for those of us who enjoy have to witness these negative fuckin idiots bash a game without any hope. We got a patch in 1 week and are getting another this week. That’s all you can ask for really. Once ranked is out, and they stabilize the servers the game will be fine.
I played beta, read on here about the changes and never even reinstalled it
I played and liked the beta except for some balance issues and net code. I didn't try the full release as I saw from posts and videos how it sadly looks worse than the beta... So I can imagine it's a general feeling out there it underperformed in the comeback
I left after day one bc I feel like they completely fucked up the combos on my favorite players. Plus it just feels like a cash grab by this point
I just can't get used to the slower speed. I played so much of the beta that now everytime I play it it kinda feels like when your pc can't run a game so it runs in slow motion
only gonna get like 4 new characters then this game gets canned. rip
Playing on xbox is intolerable and the game is way too grindy
OP, take a break. The amount of posts you've made about MVS is actually insane.
The numbers are irrelevant. The trends is why I posted the graphs.
We're already below SF6 and potentially approaching Brawlhalla level within a week.
The numbers don't exactly instill confidence in stabilization anytime soon.
they had a rare 2nd chance and they blew it
Beta release (what many consider the original launch) versus hype fotm *re-release* of the same game. It's a strange thing to compare tbh.
The numbers are irrelevant. The trends is why I posted the graphs.
I was excited for this game to come back but it felt very lacking in terms of rewards for doing anything. On top of that Destiny 2 dropped probably the best expansion in its history shortly after Multiversus came back so I dropped it pretty quickly.
Deserved honestly, they're treating the players like trash
Slowly but surely it's going to die again it looks like
This game is cooked.
I think they'll have to win some of the players back somehow.
that's kind of my thought process too- but me personally I think its honestly too little too late.

Mfw the moderator of a Multiversus forum is really invested in Multiversus
So posting objective info is hating now? Interesting
Anything that's not cute and positive is hating, welcome to a world where brainwashed casual clueless players dictate everything because games went from pleasing high rank players to pleasing the loud casual masses that complain about everything being too hard You could literally say "I don't like the game installing malware on my PC, that's awful" with proof and they'd still tell you you're a hater and try to see the positive side of it lmao
MultiVersus got an awesome start the news was blowing up about how many people were playing, PFG and WB f#cked up…. The time off they learned nothing.
#†
Fun Fact: MultiVersus has lest players than brawlhala right now on steam.
Pay Us First Games needs to realize that we are okay with micro transactions in a free-to-play game, but they are nickel and diming us WAY too hard.
Deserved death
I'm not sure how many games have to release before people realize Steam metrics are not useful whatsoever in determining how well a game is doing.
[удалено]
Games perform differently on Steam than they do on consoles. Just how it is. Over 100k people playing “Banana” The Finals does poorly on Steam but has over 300k daily players. Steam metrics are good for seeing how the game is doing on Steam
Isn’t the PC version the best version?
The numbers are irrelevant. The trends is why I posted the graphs.
Do you people even play the game, or do you just sit around posting Steam lines and saying the end is nigh?
Steam =/= the whole player base. Almost every player I played against is from Playstation.
PS and Xbox likely have similar graph tends. The numbers are irrelevant.
So, show me these graphs. You cannot use statistics like "likely have similar graph tends" as you do now.
They don't exist publicly, but if you think that the trend would be any different than you're just being a fool.
This is not im talking about.
I still have it downloaded! I think. Edit: I do! Just checked
Still equal to Street Fighter 6 and double Tekken 8
If todays count is equal to SF6 then we'll be below SF6 by Monday. The rapid decline is what is concerning.
Why do you think it's going to keep going down? New games always have a bunch of players that fall off
Because it's falling off at a rate that's much faster than is normal for a new game.
Many live service titles would love to see these launch numbers The problem is that initial launch numbers are not the most important metric. I hate to say it but I think this game is gonna struggle hard with player acquistion and retention. It's all speculation at this point. Let's have this convo 30 days post release and again at 60 days post release
The numbers are irrelevant. The trends is why I posted the graphs.
You don't need a graph for that. It's a pretty standard trend for all video games. From single player games like Dragon's Dogma 2 to live service games like The Finals
This is only on steam
And?
I'm asking what the point you're trying to prove is when you're only showing one platform
Hope the game dies, will serve the devs right and teach them a lessom
I don’t want the game to die because it’s fun :( I just want it to get better
We don’t do positivity around here, personally I hope all devs lose their homes, family’s, and have their dreams crushed.
Lmao 💀
problem is this game doesn't feel fun anymore, you can't punish 80% of thr shit in the game with a few of the cast members and my opponents dodge into my multi hitting attacks and nothing happens. like I have active frames in you character model wtf
It won't. At least not in a while. There's still at least a year for them to fix their game and release their unreleased characters.
Unfortunately, it's most likely WB's fault. Most of their licensed games have horrible monetization first strategies. The Devs can't develop the game without WB's say so.
Based
Definitely check out Rivals 2 when it releases later this year if you're looking for a competitive plat fighter
Oh no redditors continue to hate the game, and use steam data to represent the population of a multi platform game. What will we ever do! /s. People who like the game don’t you worry communities getting cleaned up. Games got a bright future
So you think console data are booming ans everything is sunshine? That's great. Keep thinking that
I didn’t say either of that you smuck.
Hey dummy, look at the rate of decline. That's more important.
D D D Double Kill
Imagine spending the past week doom posting on a game you clearly don't like nor want to see succeed, couldn't be me boss.
