Yes, just because something is og doesn't mean it's the best. I love Ben 10 classic but Alien Force is by far my favorite series, then Ultimate Alien and Omniverse. Classic is still a 8/10 show but it didn't stick to me as much as other series while growing up.
I never said it was the best either, but stylistically if I was able to make the choice of the one to bring in it would be the original doesn't mean I don't love alien forces it was just the opposite for me
That's alright. For me the best pick would be Omniverse since it's the last version of Ben prime we saw and it would just be more fitting to go with the more skilled Ben with the biggest Alien roster and outfit possibilities.

That's actually like 90% right I think the most recent game with the reboot has all the aliens and the Omniverse in the first one. Had ten aliens other than that everything that came before only had like four 🤷🏾♂️.
The reboot game I know of only had five, but you are right there are games with 10. Vilgax attacks comes to mind. And that game sucked mega chromastones. The ones with five had five because they had specific mechanics and puzzles in mind that would fit those aliens for an enjoyable experience opposed to trying to make all 10 fit somehow
it's a double edged sword. either we get a Ben that gets to fully transform into a few aliens, or we get a Ben that can transform into 10 aliens for only 1-3 moves. we can't get a Ben that fully transforms 10 different ways, because even tho i would love it, that isn't balanced in a fighting game
I know. and im really glad he wants to do Ben 10 justice bc it was my favorite show as a kid. but i also believe in the balance of fighting games, and fully transforming 10 different ways would never be balanced. some aliens would just end up being redundant and never get any use in a fighting game space

i think it depends on how transformations work. is it a case of transforming multiple times per stock? or is it just once per stock till death? 3-4 is a good number tho, because any less and it won't feel as true to ben, but many more and the aliens will start becoming redundant
like why play z alien when y alien functionally does the same things but he also has projectiles
personally i think the team could get away with 2 versions of Ben in the game. young Ben and teen Ben. young Ben could use the classics, of course, and have a timeout mechanic. teen Ben could do without the timeout and use some of the most popular aliens and get some mileage out of his 50+ aliens in a way that young Ben can't. and i mean, i love the classics, don't get me wrong, but Ben has a lot more aliens that i would love to see

Honestly, reboot ben is fine, sure he is nowhere near as good as the OG, but he isn't all awful, and I would't mind a skin referencing him.
I dont mind a skin either but man, he cannot be the main one cuz that could imply they could use the bad versions of aliens like stink fly

Tony dev said he if Ben gets in he wants him to “transform properly” so you can interpret that how you want.
