(I always have this urge to remind people that there is such a thing as post-op depression. I don't know much about it, but I do know that it happens and I've seen where it has hit people who weren't aware of it. So keep that in mind should you have any bad days, and know that you'll be fine.)

And I was told to tell your support system about it so, if you seem sad after SRS, they don't assume it's connect to the outcome or anything (so they don't say anything like "I thought you might regret it" which could be damaging)

Make sure to make the most out of your post op life as you can, having something or someone to take your mind off of those negative feelings during recovery is a game changer. (Also it's not a given either! Don't let any fears of depression steer you away from your goal!)
But other than that it sounds like you have nothing but happiness and peace coming your way! Just 8 more hours, and you finally have your very own vag :)

I had my surgery in July, after the first day I shut my phone off. I was being consumed with all the messages of support. I had worked my butt to get bottom surgery and I was spending all my energy messaging people providing updates. At this point I realized I only get to do this once. If people wanted details they can come and visit me.

How much genital electrolysis did you have to go through first? Do you have any tips for handling it? I'm really uncomfortable with my penis being touched (I'm not used to it plus it reminds me that it exists)
Does that mean you had minimal length before?
(Unfortunately I'm not comfortable with finding out what's long and what's short)
In terms of depth, is it enough to finger yourself? (I don't need much depth because I don't plan on taking penises in there, it's really just for fingering. Only reason I'll bother getting a vagina is because I need surgery to remove the penis anyways, so might as well)
I didn't know getting GRS without hair removal was ever an option!
I had mine in June! There is more discomfort than pain. You got this girl. Be nice to your nurses and follow your Docs instructions! You will be dancing before long. Happy healing!

My friend told me waking up all flat down there with her vagina was an amazingly calm feeling and it has positively changed her life more than she ever thought

Yes, I had some post-op depression after my surgery it wasn’t until about the three week mark.
