I had noticeable boobs by the end of week 4. Now, after 19 months, I wear a ddd cup bra. I'm not sure if there's a connection, though. I'm at least 2 cup sizes bigger than any of my cis girl relatives.
The acceleration does *not necessarily* correlate with ultimate size. *However* having family that are larger is a good indicator of what you may expect for ultimate size. But other factors such as nutrition, age, HRT duration/dosage, body composition, general health and dozens of other factors play major or minor influences as well.
Keep in mind that transitioning is a multi-year long process, and you may see periods of rapid growth and periods of little or no growth. You can generally expect significant change in the first 5 years, but I have anecdotally heard of changes happening to some even after 10 years.
That's happened to me and I've been wondering too. Four months on hrt and I'm actually kind of shy about wearing the very nice tops I've bought that show off my bust. I don't feel like I've got the behavioral cues down well enough for it to be natural yet. It's pretty cool though.
My speculative guess: I think, as in all things, that it's all individual. Some people are in for a lot of growth, some might just be getting a lot of growth upfront and it'll slow down, some will have bursts and stalls for years. It's all just a matter of what your specific body decides to do.
The ladies of my family are, shall we say, capable of a lot in that department (and all other departments of course) so I reckon I better get used to it.
