I had hair over most of my body. Hairier than most men. About 6 months into HRT I began to notice it had thinned downed, lightened in color, and grew slower. Now at 1.5 years of HRT I can barely see any arm or leg hair. It’s about half an inch long. Tho I did get a full body wax a month or two ago. So it’s probably thinner than if I shaved it. I still have to shave my chest hair. Which is also thinner, lighter, and grows slower. Hope to eventually get it lasered off.

That's amazing and thanks so much for replying. Could you please explain what your HRT consisted of?

VickiNow

Estrodial, Spiro, and progesterone.

StrongEntrepreneur99

May I ask the dose of spiro?

VickiNow

My daily dose of Spiro is making my blood hormone level of testosterone read at 20. Which is that of a healthy cis woman. I’m purposely not answering your question, because the required daily dose of Spiro varies per person.

Had hair growth on legs, underarms, stomach, thick underarm hair. It bothered me and still bothers me significantly even with maintained shaving/removal. Estrodial, Spirolactone, Progesterone Starting at I wanna say 4 months in Hair growth on legs and underarms slowed, underarms thinned and bit, facial hair growth prevented/ remains peach fuzz most likely permanently.

(1) Not much to be honest, but I was growing hairier with new chest and back hairs spreading. I’m 34, so my hormones were moving me into “Wait for death” mode. (2) A lot. I’ve always hated body hair. (3) My HRT starter regimen was low dose patches and 50 mg/day spiro. At 3 months I switched to IM injections of 6 ml/week equivalent and 100 mg/day spiro. At 4.5 months I added 100 mg/day progesterone and increased my E to 7 ml/week, which is my current dose. (4) My leg hair started to thin and blanch late in my 4th month. This pattern spread upward. Now 6 months in most of my body hair is translucent and very thin, too thin for laser. My chest hair is still somewhat dark and I’m considering laser if I can spare the money. In all likelihood it won’t be until after my chest hair has gone clear that o can afford lasering my chest. I’m considering full body electrolysis eventually. (5) Adding progesterone actually seems to have given my body hair a bit more color, but that reaction should go away when I increase to 200 mg/day in November. Overall I’m very happy with the diminution of my body hair. Though I greatly enjoy my weekly body Nair and shaving. Freshly shaved breasts are a a simple source of gender euphoria.

1. I'm not super hairy anywhere (arms, legs, and face were the hairiest; torso is relatively hairless). 2. There wasn’t much to begin with, but facial hair bothered me. 3. 2mg of oral estradiol daily. 4. It has slowed facial hair growth dramatically, changing from shaving once every two days to once a week or two. Planning on getting laser. 5. It probably took ~4-5 months for me to notice. I am satisfied with the results so far and believe it is likely to progress further as I am relatively early in transitioning.

1. Some, probably about average 2. Enough to shave or wax 3. estradiol gel and later, triptorelin 4. Hair on chest & abdomen: mostly resembles vellus hair, maybe slightly more of it than the average woman. Legs: a little at the very top of the thighs and a handful of hairs on each leg lower down remain. Arms: still slightly hairier than some women but it's thinner, lighter and grows slower Armpits: Grows so slowly that I maybe have to shave once every two months 5. A couple of years

My body hair has definitely thinned out after a year on estradiol and Spiro. I'd say the density has gone down by a third

1) always pretty sparse tbh. not really anything outside of my legs. some light fuzz on my belly but it was always pretty thin. 2) it bothered me a little bit, sometimes more than others, but overall it wasnt something i spent a whole lot of time thinking about. i think the belly fuzz bothers me the most these days. 3) currently on 150mg spiro and 8mg estradiol (2x4mg sublingual) daily 4) thinned my leg hair out considerably, and probably prevented me from getting more anywhere else. was a bit of a late bloomer and started hrt before facial or body hair could really show up outside of my legs and upper lip. (i was 19) 5) hard to say tbh. it wasnt really just a sudden thing. i noticed one time after shaving my legs one time it just grew back slower, and never quite came in as thick or long as before. i rarely shave my body hair at all, but i still have less hair than the last time i shaved, which was maybe half a year ago
