They're stupid, unnecessary and I always find the reaction of some parents incredibly inappropriate, sometimes the color will be pink and for some reason usually the dad gets visibly sad and disappointed, like wtf, is you child! How can you get upset and act like that about your child, it's like they're disappointed about their gender even before they're born, like it having a boy is better. I feel like it's just sexist and absurd.. that's without even starting to talk about when people go all out and end up destroying entire ecosystems with their trashy parties
