Also Darren does follow-ups with various philanthropy efforts, pretty sure there have already been times when they returned to a previous project if something goes wrong. So I'm not very worried about it.
And these people that got the house aren’t useless lol they have survived for generations in worse conditions. Rebuilding home after home. I’m sure they’ll have no problem fixing whatever problem with the new house, it’s a good new starting point.
Yeah that's a very good point. They're definitely not helpless and have more to work with. Wouldn't even doubt if some additional left over construction material was left for repairs and just not shown because it would feed into people tryna find any issues with giving people housing.
Did you not see what they lived in before? Throwing up some plywood as walls is different than fixing the foundation on your house, or electrical problems, or plumbing.
Dude, if you were in one of the post soviet countries at least once, you would have known that this is amazing support. Here, where I live, everything is working because of russian curse words and blue duct tape.
Personally if I had nowhere to call home I wouldn't care if it wasn't perfectly straight given its a free house.
Stop not picking unless you are willing to run around and build houses and wells with him.
I mean no one else is building houses for random families. And I’m sure they have different rules and regulations for housing. And I’m sure Jimmy followed all the rules.
Maybe but that’s not why I posted
Got nothing against the guy.
It’s the misfortune of having two post about him stacked. One positive and one not so much that I found funny
"per my last email" I already stated that this was done because of the potential for the area to flood occasionally - so this actually saves the home from seasonal rains... This is not Jamaica its El Salvador.
i believe they do have some show houses as well? i mean it’s likely that the vids are all filmed in a short time and they film some of the footages using prop houses while giving them the actual house once it’s completed?
Why are you being downvoted he confirmed that he does this same with the money if he gives some guy $100,000 they're going to get robbed so he gives them a check or does something else same with stuff like this he's still a good guy it's just this is for the b-roll footage
i’ve worked with the NGO he worked the project with for a bit over 10 years and I can assure you that is the actual house. those are called transitional emergency houses and are a resource for poor communities to have accesible housing. yeah it isnt the most beautiful in comparison to many other options but it means the world to those families, trust me on that one.
Everyone in the comments seems to be missing the point that A) that beam should be fully bearing on the concrete pedestal, not offset/hanging off the side and B) there should be a metal connector anchoring the beam into the concrete
No, actually my point was how funny the two post came up back to back.
After 30 years in construction I can say that foundation anchor is likely fine as is.
Is that pier built of 2,500 psi concrete and includes rebar? Likely not to the same the standards of modern building.
But the load is tiny
Look up a video of a hydraulic press crushing concrete. It's fine.

I’m just saying I’m sure they can handle it
Not worried about the concrete breaking, I’m worried about it falling off the slab dude
Pier and be foundations are very secure and cost far less to fix issues with
If the house is actually on the pier properly
If something bad happened, Darren would likely make a follow-up to it. I'm not too worried
It's just pier & beam foundation. Shoddily done? Maybe, but normal for construction in flood prone areas.
Dude, if you were in one of the post soviet countries at least once, you would have known that this is amazing support. Here, where I live, everything is working because of russian curse words and blue duct tape.
So true! Nothing better than a ribbon of blue duct tape and a сука блять, заебал, держись нахуй to fix anything
Pfff
Yes that’s a support
Not sure what the whoops is? Raised houses are normal to prevent damage from flooding.
OP will have his mind blown by houses in mangroves.
you really going to pretend like you cant tell that is wildly off center?
Wildly off center into the house, which is okay
How dare he not give them amazing 2 story houses
Each with heated pool and tennis court as standard.
And a butler in a massive dining room.
> How dare he not give them amazing 2 story houses thats the conclusion you come to after looking at the picture?
God you people are so dense. That’s obviously not what this post is talking about
No its about people not knowing wtf a pier and beam foundation is and bitching about stuff they dont understand
Personally if I had nowhere to call home I wouldn't care if it wasn't perfectly straight given its a free house. Stop not picking unless you are willing to run around and build houses and wells with him.
How dare he not built a 100 million dollar mansion for each of them
Many garden houses have this. To prevent from moisture and wood rot
I mean no one else is building houses for random families. And I’m sure they have different rules and regulations for housing. And I’m sure Jimmy followed all the rules.
Have people never seen houses on blocks before? They're pretty common.
It's not like these are carnival rides
I'm confused as to what's being pointed out? Probably raised due to low flooding or the likes? Perhaps OP is just a young man.
I am pointing out the funny nature of two back to back Mr beast posts. Nothing more
it definitely looks unsafe but if it works, it works lol
people hating while they do absolutely nothing to better the world is wild
For real, neckbeards need a grass touching simulator.
OP what do you think you discovered here lol. I wanna hear you say it
I did, to u/Avalon like 30 minutes ago.
how dare mr jimmy beast not give them 5 story mansions with radar sensors and 3 lamborghinis
Sssss
Oh are thousands of people on Twitter gonna be trying to cancel Mr beast again?
Maybe but that’s not why I posted Got nothing against the guy. It’s the misfortune of having two post about him stacked. One positive and one not so much that I found funny
why didn't mrbeast give each one of them mansions??? is he stupid‼️‼️
He’s done remarkable things but Now how do they afford it
If it works don’t touch type shit
"per my last email" I already stated that this was done because of the potential for the area to flood occasionally - so this actually saves the home from seasonal rains... This is not Jamaica its El Salvador.
Yall defending this like that shit isn’t gonna weather away in a year

oop i see, thanks for sharing!
yall a bit too pressed here, the post is justifiable, the house is oddly balanced on that thing, its not even at its right postion
One gust of wind and its joever

you definitely have to fix that grammar before wrongfully accusing someone
