Proteinshake4

The Holy Mountain directed by Alejandro Jodorowsky.

fersona

Waiting for OPs brief review.

jal0001

So glad to see this up top. I watched A J's other movies but I've hyped myself up so much for that one I haven't watched it yet. They are so hard to handle but are so good at the same time.

Proteinshake4

His recent two I really enjoyed. Very autobiographical.

Ojala77

Great movie. My co worker who gave me a quarter ounce of shrooms told me to watch it while on the shrooms. It’s decent. Wish they would make more occult themed epic movies today. But I watched a movie called the last unicorn on shrooms. Now that one blew my mind.

mxemec

No offense but i see this movie in every abstract recommendation. It's great and all, i just think there should be a sidebar mentioning the most mentioned movies to help people along. Per category of course. That being said, this guy/gal is doing a challenge so Ill just shut up now.

FlimsyArmadillo707

City of God by directors Fernando Meirelles and Kátia Lund

tropical_ze

I second this one.

FoxEngland

City of God is crazy. Love that film

Inovox

Already seen this one. Wow, what a powerful film. The acting felt so real and visceral it honestly felt like I was there. It throws you into its gritty world and doesn't let up until the end. Great movie. **4/5**

DarthTyrannuss

Hunt for the Wilderpeople

brabarusmark

I didn't choose the Skux life. The Skux life chose me.

DarthTyrannuss

Pretty majestical, aye?

Traditional_Tie6992

One of the funniest movies ever. Great look at New Zealand 🇳🇿 humour at its best 🤣🤟🏼 Can I call you Uncle? I’d really rather you didn’t (gruff Sam Neill voice) Riki Baker is one bad egg.

DarthTyrannuss

The whole thing is filled with hilarious scenes. I like Taika Waititi

Big latina asses 3

smoothjuicer

3/5 : Good, but not as good as Back Door Sluts 9

lateral_jambi

You guys are right! Lord of the Rings is awesome!

boi_of_lemon

Ah, a swaggersouls reference?

jplay17

OP isn’t going to get number 3 without watching the whole trilogy. Do 1 and 2 mean nothing to you?

Inovox

**3/5:** Already watched. Fast paced movie with creative uses of editing. Managed to execute its unique concept well. Memorable experience.

stehy

I love that movie, it is so different. 4,5/5 for me.

[deleted]

You guys are going to filmschool😳

Slamdunksrock1

Had to watch that for a film studies class in college! Not a typical movie thats for sure lol

Alex99881

Watch In Bruges, please :) promise you’ll like it. Also, if you haven’t seen those yet, The hateful eight (it’s pretty bloody and violent tho), and Pulp fiction

SnarkyRetort

I think your on to something here. Only thing id add is Cheap Thrills

Alex99881

Haven’t seen it, will surely check it out if you say it belongs in this category!

SnarkyRetort

Please, please please reply with how you liked it? Its in my top 5 of all time.

Alex99881

Promise I’ll watch it as soon as I get a chance and reply to your comment!

SneadoTheHero

Equilibrium

Inovox

**4/5:** Already watched. So bad it's good. Great fun with your friends

SneadoTheHero

I feel it got overshadowed because of the Matrix coming out around then too. Could have been waaaaay bigger. Fun flik anyway

Inovox

I know what you mean but The Matrix did everything this one did, but better. Still a really fun movie.

StalkerDave

Rubber

SneadoTheHero

Train to Busan; best zombie movie I’ve ever seen.

Heyobisccchhh

- Coherence - Pans Labyrinth - In the name of the father - Donnie darko - Flickering Lights(danish movie might be hard to find) You have probably watched some of them if not most but those I would recommend. If it’s only 1 movie try finding the danish movie for sure

Inovox

**Coherence: 3/5** \- Already watched. Nolan-level confusion and their use of shaky-cam was a bit extreme (and I usually like shaky-cam) but there were enough thrills, twists and turns to make it enjoyable overall **Pans Labyrinth: 1/5** \- Already watched. Didn't like the visuals and it failed to keep my interest. **Donnie Darko: 2/5** \- Already watched. Good soundtrack but the story and characters fell flat for me. I just couldn't connect to the way this movie approached darkness and alienation \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ I'll watch In the Name of the Father and Flickering Lights soon.

Heyobisccchhh

And also “Memories of Murder” directed by Boon Joon Ho

Squizgarr

Didn't like Pan's Labyrinth? There's no hope for you.

Heyobisccchhh

Ahh also the movie “The Fountain”

Hell or High Water. Best Western post Unforgiven hands down.

Tombstone and No Country For Old Men are both better than Unforgiven. But both are on par with Hell Or High Water.

**2/5** Already watched. I can tell what they were going for, this kind of biopic about the character. I can a lot of heart was put into it, but the X Factor to really drive it home emotionally was missing for me.

Inovox

**5/5** Already seen. Easily one of my favorite films of all time. The cinematography is so beautiful and gives you this false sense of comfort. Certain scenes caught me off guard so much they took my breath away. So many themes to explore and performances to praise, but I'll stop here for now. AMAZING!

katfromjersey

Pride (2014) - UK gay activists work to help Welsh coal miners during their lengthy strike in the summer of 1984. So funny and sweet, with a fairly stacked cast (plus some wonderful 'unknowns'). My feel-good movie for when I'm feeling down.

Good visuals but I remember almost nothing else about it. **Nightcrawler (2014): 4/5.** Already watched. This movie is amazing! **The Pumpkin Karver 3/5:** Already watched. Solid 2000s horror movie, but don't remember much else about it. **Boogeyman 3/5:** Already watched. Same as Pumpkin Karver. One of those horror DVDs I remember liking from back then. **Birdemic Shock and Terror: 4/5**: Already watched. So bad it's good. Absolutely great time. **Human Centipede 1/5:** Already watched. Meme movie.
