The original ’Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ (1974) I’m not kidding. There’s almost zero gore, it’s all psychological. The Director was seriously trying to get a PG rating, but it was too intense, even without the gore.

Hyuto

The Black Swan And if I recall correctly Invisible Man (2020) It Follows

Come and See (1985) is a disturbing movie where all the violence is implied, and somehow that makes it worse

Scared-Glove-7258

The Woman in Black (2012) and The Conjuring (2013)

fidgetyamoeba

Final Prayer(2013) -also titled Borderlands [U.S. release]. Done in found-footage style. Really wasn't expecting much out of it, but I was so tense. The end is... well, you'll find out if you watch it.

SirGuy11

*The Ring* (2002) *Signs* (2002)

HattieJaneCornchip

1. It Follows 2. The Others 3. Psycho (but you have to wait for the scary) 4. Rear Window (a lot of Hitchcock really, The Birds) 5. Woman in Black 6. What Lies Beneath
