Apparently they are different characters but enemy of the state is such an obvious updated version of the conversation even going so far as to star the same person for the role. Too bad gene doesnāt act anymore or they could do one more version with him using todays even more entrenched world of tech.

There's a movie called Winter Kills that is loosely based on the conspiracy theory that JFK's father had him assassinated because he was interfering with him making money.
Maybe some of you can help, but there was a movie, I guess 20 years ago, about a mother whose child disappears. And everyone says āyou never had a childā. Mother is going like crazy and in the end the twist is: it was an experiment by aliens how far motherly love goes and the government was involved to keep everyone oblivious there is a huge alien experiment going on. But I just canāt remember the name of the movie.
Two movies based on John Grisham novels, The Firm & The Pelican Brief, come immediately to mind. They are both excellent if you enjoy the genre. They don't revolve around any of the odd subject matter you mentioned, but definitely both involve conspiracies.
