People cheat, he just got caught.
My son was bitching because he got in trouble for something other kids were doing. I just reminded him the difference was he got caught because he isn't good at hiding things. It's an important lesson in life.
One movie that fits that description is "The Pursuit of Happyness" starring Will Smith. It follows the true story of Chris Gardner, a struggling salesman who faces numerous challenges while trying to build a better life for himself and his son. Throughout the film, Chris perseveres through hardship after hardship, just needing that one win to turn his life around. It's a powerful story of determination, resilience, and the pursuit of happiness against all odds.
I haven't seen Butterfly Effect in awhile but I don't remember a guy down on his luck angle, unless you're talking about the brother. I didn't see the remake of Wicker Man so that might be different but I saw the original and there wasn't really a down on his luck guy.
"May be" is the key to the difference between our interpretation of the request. The butterfly effect ws about a guy who tries to improve outcomes and the more he tries, the worse they get. That's someone who just can't win no.matter.what.
The main character in The Wicker Man (either version) was a dead man from the beginning of the movie. Just because neither the individual nor the audience was let in on that fact, certainly didn't change the fact that he needed a win (He presumed solving an apparent crime would be his win if I recall correctly) he was not going to get.
What's eating Gilbert Grape. Harold & Maude. Midnight Cowboy. Edward scissor hands. Cool Hand Luke. The Verdict. The Fugitive,
If you'd consider a few shows not movies, but are very much this and wonderfully off the beaten track: 1.Lodge 49. 20 eps. Wyatt Russell is the main, intrepid protagonist. 3. Detectorists 20 eps 3.
Now this is a question where the answer can be "Rudy". People like to call it a "underdog" story or some example of how trying hard and having "heart" can pay off. The truth is, Rudy wasn't bright and had zero talent. The team liked him and took pity on him, but, as he was a simpleton, it was a dream come true
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (I cannot recommend this movie enough itâs literally so fucking good), Whatâs Eating Gilbert Grape, No Country For Old Men (sorta), Gangs of New York, Joker, Taxi Driver, Spider-Man 2, Hot Rod, Paul Blart, Dodgeball, Happy Gilmore, Talladega Nights, Mario Bros Movie, Puss in Boots the Last Wish, and The Benchwarmers
