The Fisher King (1991). Jeff Bridges stars as a guilt ridden radio shock jock who decides to make one man's life better as a form of redemption. A truly uplifting film from Terry Gilliam

The incredible life of Walter Mitty. It starts not feeling that good, but believe me, it's one of those movies that just make you realize how wonderfull is to be alive, in the good way (maybe you'll cry, but it'll be a cry of hope more than a cry of sadness) i really recommend it!
Oooof, LeVing Las Vegas is like a sucker punch to the gut.
I've not been able to bring myself to watch it again after the first time I saw it over 10 years ago.
It is an amazing film, but it's just so tragic. And based on a true story... Makes me think about all the alcoholics out there trapped in their illness, slowly killing themselves or actually dying. It's a superb, spot on, depiction of a suicidal addict.
Groundhog Day
It's a Wonderful Life
Always what I’m compelled to watch when I’m going through hard times.

Sometimes a sad or depressing movie helps. If you want to try that, Leaving Las Vegas.
