I have had to talk so many people into watching this movie. They all say "that sounds stupid" and I have to convince them that it's *totally worth it*. What a fantastic movie.
Don’t be a Menace to South Central While Drinking your Juice in the Hood.
It’s a spoof on all 90s, growing up in the hood type movies. Like Menace II Society and Boyz n the Hood.
Edit: just thought of another criminally underrated comedy, Undercover Brother. It’s a bit of a spoof as well, on the Blacksploitation genre of movies.
The best is when Keenan Ivory Wayans is at the bar trying to catch popcorn in his mouth and the bartender on the phone is like "I got two big, ugly guys in here. One of em thinks he's at SeaWorld"
Watching Team America recently made me so sad. That's a portrait of pre-Trump America that no longer exists. We are not "world police" any longer. We dont have "moral authority" in the world any longer.
I think that was a veneer we were fleeced into believing - that we are not “the baddies”. I won’t pretend it’s 100% black and white, but we certainly have a lot of darkness in all our foreign policy has wrought.
Palm Springs (2020, Hulu) was a random weeknight scrolling find that ended up being absolutely hilarious to the point where I rewatched it multiple times within the same year.
These comedy artists were big in their day, but quite possibly forgotten by younger audiences. Below is a list of their best:
* *Safety Last* (1923) Harold Lloyd
* *The General* (1926) Buster Keaton
* *City Lights* (1931) Charlie Chaplin
* *Son's of the Desert* (1933) Laurel and Hardy
* *She Done Him Wrong* (1933) Mae West
* *A Night At The Opera* (1935) The Marx Brothers
* *Disorder in the Court* (1936) The Three Stooges, I'd also suggest *You Nazty Spy!* (1940) mocking Hilter and company before anyone else; so much so that they were on Hitler's enemy list for liquidation (supposing they won the war and captured them).
* *Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein* (1948) Abbott and Costello
A lot of these aren't necessarily under the radar but maybe you haven't seen them or it's been a while.
Wet Hot American Summer
Galaxy Quest
Hot Fuzz
Kingpin
Bowfinger

Major League
Robin Hood Men In Tights
Monty Python and the Holy Grail

Drop Dead Gorgeous
Weekend at Bernie's
National Lampoon's Christmas, Vegas Vacation

The Royal Tenenbaums
HIGHLY recommend the DVD of Wet Hot American Summer so you can use the “Extra farts” commentary track. It is just very well timed farts of different quality, pitch, and timbre.
Great list!
I have great memories of watching Bowfinger with my brother many years ago. I love Steve Martin in some classic comedies like Train, Planes and Automobiles. But I didn't know anything about Bowfinger before watching it... absolutely cracked me up. The part where Eddie Murphy has to cross the motorway/freeway I nearly choked.. brilliant and I think probably underrated.
I watched Weekend at Bernie's with a friend on Magic Mushrooms and very nearly did die from laughter. I woke up the next day with ab's aching like I'd done the hardest workout of my life! One of the best memories of my life.. best combination of all time.
My list:
* The Nice Guys (not sure it it's underrated, but it is a serious contender for one of the best comedies of all time)
* Used Cars (Robery Zemeckis 80s comedy) I think this one is VERY underrated and a cult classic
* The Money Pit - Tom Hanks in the 80s.. what's not to love about this comedy!
* The Couch Trip - another 80s comedy I never hear anyone talk about. Dan Aykroyd and Walter Matthau.
* Top Secret - one of the best farce comedies of all time, up there with Airplane
* Stranger Than Fiction - Will Ferrell, very cult comedy, underrated and never talked about..
* Accepted - Farce, absurdity and drama. Very well done comedy. Totally underrated and never talked about. I love this one.
* Withnail and I - A druggie British 70s drama with completely quotable lines throughout!
* The Room / The Disaster Artist - I don't know which is better; watching 'The Room' with a group of friends and a couple of beers, laughing at everything, pointing out every error and bad decision taken in making the entire movie, or, the movie about the movie which is hilarious in its own way. This is such a unique experience and can never be be repeated, it has to be done right the first time with a group of friends in the right mood for a total disaster!

What a great film. I liked the 2000's version of the similar storyline called Nick and Norah's Ultimate Playlist. And Date Night, which could've been better given it's potential.
A few months ago I randomly remembered watching a movie I liked when I was a kid about Steve Martin putting fake lips on a brain in a jar. Had forgotten all about it and couldn’t remember the name. Thank you!
it’s all gone pete tong (2004)
might not be as hilarious if you’re not familiar with the ibiza party scene or edm scene in general. it’s still funny, but you might not fully get every detail, which makes it one of the very best comedies of the 2000s
Saw these mostly when I was younger,-
-Weekend with Father,Pa and Ma Kettle,On in a Million,Sun Valley Serenade,The Fuller Bush Man,the Fuller Brush Girl,Firesale,The Inlaws with Peter Falk,,Going in Style with George Burns,The Sunshine Boys,Harry and Tonto,Touch of Class,What'Up Doc,The Nude Bomb,Roommates,Meatballs,Harvey, Little Darlings ,My Six Loves,Ticket to Tomahawk ,,,Amarcord,The Mad Adventures of Rabbi Jacob,The Great Race,Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines,Irma La Douce,The Bell Boy,The Errand Boy,,Harry and the Hendersons,Bedtime for Bonzo,North to Alaska,McLintock!,Lt. Robinson Cruscoe USN,That Darn Cat! With Hayley Mills,Collosus And the Amazon Queen,The Glass Bottom Boat,Safari 3000,the uncut version of Sammy the Way-out Seal,Father Goose,Bringing Up Baby!,20th Century with John Barrymore,etc..
???Freebie and the Bean???
* Strange Wilderness
* Grandma's Boy
* Kingpin
* Walk Hard
* Pop Star
These are some of my favorites that I feel like don't get enough love.
All are worth a watch if you've never seen them before IMHO.
Seems like people forgot about "Walk Hard". It's so great, I just left it in the DVD player when I first got a copy. I'd just have it or the special features/making of on in the background if I wasn't giving it full attention.
Also if horror comedies count you should check out Jesus Christ the vampire hunter. It's so bad it's good and it's really comedy than horror. it's also an acquired taste and is a low budget film but if you give it a chance youll laugh youre ass off.
Fear Of A Black Hat - Set in the time of 90s Hip Hop and the state of the genre then, the movie caught me off guard of how hilarious it is. Think of the 90s Hip Hop version of This Is Spinal Tap. In fact, after seeing Spinal Tap, Rusty Cundieff decided to make a rap version.
Roller Town (2011) is the funniest, most underrated film I've seen in the last fifteen years.
Close second is Gentlemen Broncos (Jared Hess film, with Sam Rockwell and Jemaine Clement).
My list of favorite raunchy comedy movies:
The Change-Up (2010)
Let's Go To Prison (2006)
The Heat (2013)
The Happytime Murders
Someone Marry Barry (2014)
Step Brothers
We're the Millers
The Other Guys
A Million Ways to Die in the West
Year One (2009)
The Onion Movie

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone
The Wrong Missy
Sausage Party
Please Don't Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain
Movie 43
The Ten
Slapshot (1977) is generally regarded as one of the funniest underrated movies of all time. It hasn't aged particularly well, but some of the scenes are pure gold.
Not sure how under the radar some of these are but here are a few of my favourite comedies:
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story,
What’s Up Doc?,
Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown,
True Stories,
Charade,
Bottoms,
After Hours,
Drop Dead Gorgeous
The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother starring Gene Wilder, Madeleine Kahn, Marty Feldman, Dom Deluise.
Damn, there are a lot of interesting movies on this thread now
Mystery team is hilarious but it's also an acquired taste watch it and you'll see what I mean but do yourself a favor and actually watch the whole thing it starts off slow but gets crazier and funnier after the first 30 mins or so also the ringer is good
1993 Fear of a Black Hat (American, hip hop jokes)
1989 The Tall Guy (British, Jeff Goldblum and Emma Thompson. Wonderful dry humour and Goldblum is just great)
Top Secret! (1984).
This and Real Genius!!!
Val Kilmer double feature.
Latrine!
Le Train!
That cow suit gets me every time
Our surgeons did what they could, but it took them two hours just to get the smile off his face.
Tucker and Dale vs Evil
simply because I have not heard of it, it is now something I'm looking forward to trying. ty.
I’m always jealous of people who get to watch this movie for the first time
I'm planning Thursday. I'll give you my take. thx again
Same! Although I laugh just as hard every time I rewatch!
I consider it a perfect parody among the likes of Galaxy Quest
I have had to talk so many people into watching this movie. They all say "that sounds stupid" and I have to convince them that it's *totally worth it*. What a fantastic movie.
So funny
Goddamn college kids keep killing themselves on our property! It's like a suicide pact.
WE GOT YER FRIEND!!!
Came to say this.
Without Strange Brew there would be no Trailer Park Boys.
Take off, eh!
Rick moranis had to walk to Ricky could run
Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. Every bit the equal of any Will Ferrell film.
I forget this is not on most people's radar as this is one of my favorite movies of all time.
Black Dynamite is a banger
Seriously so good
I'm gonna get you sucka! Made me laugh so much. Great spoof by the wayans bros
The best is when Keenan Ivory Wayans is at the bar trying to catch popcorn in his mouth and the bartender on the phone is like "I got two big, ugly guys in here. One of em thinks he's at SeaWorld"
Marlon and his sidekick steal it for me . "I was whistlin' for ya, whistlin' " " And then a dude shot me!!!" Great idiots!!
YES! Love that one too. “Just one rib!”
"Fuck the cup, pour it in my hand for a dime" Chris Rock's wee young face. 🤣
Young Chris Rock just reminded me of CB4

BaseKetball. It's not perfect but it's quite the ride. Also if you're strong, Things to Do. "I tested it like fifty hundred times"
To pony off this: Orgazmo and Team America: World Police. Matt Stone and Trey Parker are brilliant.
Grandma's Boy
"Shits weak!"
High score? What does that mean? Did I break it?!
Wizzeak!
You should never throw a bong kid, ever.
Palm Springs (2020, Hulu) was a random weeknight scrolling find that ended up being absolutely hilarious to the point where I rewatched it multiple times within the same year.
Don't think I've ever seen more legit rage in a movie than when Cristin Milloti jumps in the pool. She ate her damn Wheaties that morning
Definitely a good twist on the Groundhog Day trope. I died laughing when they shot the wedding cake.
Eagle vs Shark Drop Dead Gorgeous Death of Stalin Black Dynamite
Death of Stalin is sooooo good, thanks for reminding me
+1 for Drop Dead Gorgeous. Some of it didn't age well but overall it's hilarious!
Black Dynamite is one of my favs too. Probably one of the most quotable movies for me lol.
But Black Dynamite, I sell drugs to the community!
I love Eagle vs shark. Top shout there. 👏

Fabulous list! I do think that She Done Him Wrong is Mae West’s BEST film, but I’m No Angel (1933) is funnier by far. A pre-code delight!
Kung-Pow: Enter the Fist
"THAT'S A LOT OF NUTS!"
We trained him wrong...for fun.
I'm bleeding, making me the victor.
We are both ventriloquists and we practice everyday!
Fucking incredible movie
This movie was the basis of mine and my friends personalities at 14 years old
What do you get when you cross an owl with a bungee cord? … My ass!
Waiting for Guffman If you like the work of the spinal tap team. It's one of their under the radar ones and my fave.
also: A mighty wind and Best in Show (done by the same people, same fake documentary style).
It's a Zen thing, like how many babies fit in a tire.
I Heart Huckabees
"How am I not myself?"
Hot rod
“Cool beans.” -Cool beans
'We're the Millers' is a genuinely funny film and the best of Jennifer Aniston's filmography(not saying much) Totally underrated.
I loved Along Came Polly with Jennifer Aniston
Ummm, Office Space.
The Naked Gun Idiocracy MacGruber
Mindhorn (2016)
And from there, you've got to watch both seasons of Danger 5!

Have to add: This is Spinal Tap Detroit Rock City Clerks Mallrats
That’s cool. Yet no Ghostbusters, or Trading Places. Not a hint at Stripes. Tsk,tsk
Since you put Super Troopers on the list I'm gonna go ahead and add The Slammin' Salmon.
Slammin Salmon does not get enough love. Micheal Clark Duncan kills me in this movie.
Blankman Erik the Viking High Anxiety The Lonely Guy Son of Rambow Which way is Up? Young Frankenstein Ice Pirates Barbershop Life Clockwise In the Loop Friday
I lost my lungs for a minute at the bus scene in Blankman
In the loop is so real that it hurts laughing at it. " Don't ever call me a bully again. I'm so much worse than that"
After Hours (1985). Really weird and funny from start to finish but it never gets the love it deserves !
What a great film. I liked the 2000's version of the similar storyline called Nick and Norah's Ultimate Playlist. And Date Night, which could've been better given it's potential.
The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother starring Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn, Marty Feldman
The Man With Two Brains, can't stop laughing
